417. Awakening to Love | Finding Your Place in God’s Heart

Love is central

A mandate from God is relational. I used to ask God for a daily mandate, but He led me away from that approach and now I focus on spending time with Him heart to heart. When I align with His heart, I naturally sense His guidance throughout the day and in different situations. Knowing the Father’s heart gives me the freedom to express it creatively through who I am, so I no longer need to seek mandates directly; I engage with His heart and follow the desires He reveals.

You cannot force someone else to follow God’s will because God does not work that way. The key is creating an environment where people can discover God’s desire for themselves; it’s not about telling them what to do but encouraging them to find their own identity and path in God. Love is central to this—showing unconditional love helps people connect with God more easily.

Understanding God’s heart is the foundation of a mandate, which essentially grants permission to carry out His will. And a blueprint—a pattern for what God wants to build—may not arrive fully formed. Timing matters—just because God shows you something does not mean you should act on it immediately: preparation and personal growth are often necessary first.

Love is not passive; it sometimes requires speaking truth, even when that is difficult. I once helped two couples seeking to establish an ekklesia: they had received the same vision but interpreted it differently, and their misalignment ultimately meant they were unable to work together. Clear communication and alignment are essential at the beginning of any such joint venture: if you are working with others on a blueprint, you need a solid foundation based on relationship and shared understanding. If one group wants to build a car on a production line and another wants to craft it by hand, conflict is inevitable unless the approach is agreed upon from the start. Blueprints often involve multiple people because God rarely intends for us to work alone: though the spiritual side may be clear, the practical side can be complicated, because people are involved!

Unity, not uniformity

I tend to avoid elitist thinking. Ideas like being part of a special group or achieving a higher level of spirituality do not resonate with me. God loves us all equally and even if he has different roles for us, no one is more valuable than another. We are all on a journey, and different perspectives are best respected, not treated as inferior – so if a group starts excluding others based on beliefs or perceived superiority, that is a warning sign.

Love is the standard for measuring any group or movement. Love is unconditional, inclusive, and honours differences rather than creating divisions. A group focused on money or controlled by a dominating personality is another red flag. True leadership fosters accountability and allows people to express their beliefs without pressure to conform.

Even when we disagree

God’s desire is for unity, not uniformity. We are all part of one family, even if some people do not yet recognise it. Differences are to be valued, not erased: God’s design is multifaceted, and diversity reflects His nature. It is not about agreement on doctrines but about honouring relationship above  needing to be right. True maturity means maintaining connection even when we disagree, because relationship matters far more than winning an argument or proving a point.

Of course, God can transform us when there are things in our lives that cause harm, but acceptance of one another is not dependent on agreeing with certain doctrines or creeds. God’s covenant with Abraham, fulfilled through Jesus, was to bless all families of the earth—not just some. We need to treat everyone as family, even when we disagree.

Too often, people are treated as enemies over minor disagreements. Most major doctrinal issues were settled long ago, yet divisions continue over relatively small matters. Unity is the priority. Jesus said the world would recognise His followers by their love for one another, not their theological accuracy. Again, unity does not mean uniformity—it means valuing relationship over being right.

Revelation of the Merkabah

On my journey, I learned about the functions of my spirit, soul and body, but they initially felt separate. Over time, I discovered that at the core of my being there are portals that connect me to where I am in the spirit and to where God is in the spirit. This connection transcends dimensions and physical locations—wherever I am, I am instantly connected because my spirit, soul and body are entangled together. This quantum entanglement means that even if there are dimensional shifts, there is no actual distance. I am one and whole wherever I am, never separated from God or creation.

This understanding unfolded through the revelation of the Merkabah—not as a literal ‘chariot’ (though that is an accurate translation of the word), but as a symbol of a state of being that carries me into different dimensions, identities and positions. It is no longer about travelling externally to reach heaven but realising that I am already connected within. And it is my state of consciousness, awareness and identity that fosters that connection, not anything external.

God’s kingdom is filling the earth

This ties into the restoration of all things. Our normal view of life is in linear time, but I view it rather as a continuum where God’s kingdom has been expanding and filling the earth since Jesus established it. Like leaven working through dough, you do not see the rise at first, but the process is underway. God has been at work throughout history, even if the fullness is only becoming visible now.

Sons of God have been revealed throughout history, often labelled ‘mystics’, and known to us or unknown. Their connection to creation has helped keep things steady, even when the world seemed chaotic. We are now at a point where the leaven has begun to rise more visibly, but this is a continuation, not a sudden breakthrough. The responsibility we have is to engage with this revelation and steward it faithfully.

Our role is to respond to creation’s groaning by bringing it into greater freedom. This requires change and transformation—a process guided by Jesus as our High Priest. The fire of God’s loving presence is not destructive but refining and purifying, transforming us and shaping us into maturity. There is nothing to fear from this fire; it is a blessing that brings us into wholeness and deeper alignment with God’s heart and purpose.

415. Limitless Energy Through the Merkabah

Mike Parsons –

Life to our mortal bodies

Romans 8:11 says, “If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you—which he does, and in all mankind—he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” It is the life of the Spirit within us that begins to energise our mortal bodies so that they operate in immortality. The Spirit gives life, light and energy to our mortal bodies. It is through that spiritual life—the breath of God, the rivers of living water that we drink, figuratively—that this flow of life moves within us. It just needs to be focused.

What do we do to put on immortality? How do we generate or focus the energy within us? There are gateways of our spirit, soul and body; we also have energy gates within us. So we need to learn to focus that flow of life energy—from heaven, from within us—to flow around us. There is a flow that comes from heaven into our spirit, into where our first love is. As we open our first love gate, it flows out into our spirit, fills our spirit, flows out into our soul, fills our soul, and then flows out to touch our body. We become one in spirit, soul and body, and this is where the energy is focused—in the point of union between spirit, soul and body. Jesus described this as our innermost being.

The river of living water is not literal H2O but a figurative illustration of life and energy. It helps us picture something real. It helped me, and I use that living water imagery in my own way to focus this life-giving flow. The river of living water becomes a well or a fountain of life within us, producing immortality. It is in us, but we need to engage it in us so it can be focused within us.

According to Jesus in John 4, living water flows in us when we drink and reconnect to the Spirit as the source of immortality. We need to drink—it is not enough to be passive: there has to be action on our part to embrace this. John 4:14 says, “Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst, but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” In us is the source of eternal life and immortality. It is like a well or a fountain of water springing up.

Introducing the Merkabah

This fountain and river flow to the core of our being. At this core is something known as the Merkabah. Now, this is where it might get a bit strange for some people. If you look up ‘Merkabah’ online, you will find diagrams or pictures of sacred geometric shapes, which are a description of the matrix of energy focused within us. I did not fully understand the Merkabah when I first saw rivers flowing from my innermost being. It was not until I saw how they focused, how they were brought together and energised within our union, that I understood how this energy could then flow out from that focus and distribute through the seven energy gates or seals within us. This essentially gives us access to limitless energy, light and life.

As this river flows into the very core of our being, it is focused within the Merkabah. If the term ‘Merkabah’ feels uncomfortable or unclear, do not let it stop you. Just think of it as a flow of energy and life to where our spirit, soul and body are joined in union—our innermost being. It is then distributed as rivers of living water. However, we need to drink from this heavenly source. This source could be described as the River of Life, which flows through the Tree of Life. It all comes from God’s throne and from God himself.

I see my innermost being as the place where this energising union happens. Rivers of living water flow with energy. I find imagery helpful— so I see it figuratively as like a hydroelectric turbine. Imagine a large dam with a lake of water, which is then focused into small channels to drive a turbine. The energy of the flowing water produces electricity. Similarly, this river of life focuses in the Merkabah at our core, then distributes energy and life to our energy gates, forming a field of energy around us. A frequency of energy surrounds us because the rivers are meant to flow out, not just remain within, and so create a field of life around us. This energy field is what brought healing when Peter’s shadow healed people.

The living light energy within us concentrates in the Merkabah, giving us access to eternal life and enabling us to communicate with and access multi-dimensional realities through inner portals. These portals of energy within the Merkabah focus and allow us to travel and receive communication within our innermost being—in our ‘knower’.

Our consciousness expands as our mind is renewed to the truth of our immortality. We begin to believe the reality of what is true, and our ability to live from that state of being greatly increases. 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely, and may your spirit, soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Being preserved means we are not destined to die.  This verse offers powerful promises, but many English versions say “at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,” which puts it off to the future. But the word parousia means ‘presence,’ not ‘coming.’ He is already present in us – and his presence within us will cause us to be entirely preserved, complete and without blame. The presence of life within us produces life and energy from the Spirit.

There are many systems within the physical body—blood, nervous, lymph, hormonal—so why not an energy system too? I believe it is completely logical that God created us with an energy system to create all the energy we need for ourselves and to engage with creation as sons when we learn to embrace it.

We are all connected to a quantum energy field. When I first went into heaven in 2010, God gave me a lesson on quantum physics—energy, string theory, vibration, frequency, harmony. It was mind-blowing. I did not understand it fully at the time, but it set me on a quest to understand what he was saying. There is a unified quantum field in which everything exists, providing the energy that fuels everything. This field contains vibrating strings of living light energy. I engage with these living light beings within a place called the Chamber of Creation. The Father showed me how these living light energy beings—which he also described as grace—function and how I could engage and embrace them.

Quantum Lumens: living light beings

When I was engaging in the Chamber of Creation, I was with a few others, including Justin Abraham, Nancy Coen, Lindy Strong and a few more. God said, ‘I want you to name those living light beings.’ I had no idea what to name them, but Nancy Coen came up with a fitting name: Quantum Lumens. I believe Quantum Lumens are the smallest particles that exist—the building blocks of all matter, vibrating strings of energy and light. We can engage with them and draw on that energy to produce in us all the energy we need, including immortality.

Sound and light are forms of energy on the same spectrum, with vast differences within that spectrum, but they are all electromagnetic energy, the creative spirit of life. Sound and light are used as biblical metaphors for living energy—rivers of living water, energy, abundant life. These vibrating strings are the voice of His power that energises and holds all things together.

Colossians 1:17 says, ‘He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together,’ referring to Jesus. Hebrews 1:3 adds, ‘He is the radiance of His glory, the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.’

All of this is connected. What scientists are discovering now is what the Bible has been trying to describe in non-scientific language. When you really look at it, it aligns remarkably well with quantum physics, string theory and related concepts about energy.

The grace of God, or vibrating strings of light energy, are the still-vibrating words that spoke creation into being. These energy strings, the smallest particles of energy, are the building blocks of all matter. When we speak with the authority of the voice of God as oracles, living light responds to us creatively. This is a process we can learn. How do we speak with the authority of God’s voice? God showed me a process where I embrace and engage His heart in a place He described as the Cradle of Life.

When I sit within His heart in the Cradle of Life, His thoughts, heart and intentions are revealed to me. I come into agreement and resonate with those thoughts and intentions. I literally become a frequency, a sound, a voice of God. As an oracle, I can speak creatively, and light responds to me, to form reality around me.

This energy field is often called Zero Point Energy. It is named this because technically, nothing should exist in a vacuum. When scientists created a vacuum and measured it, they found energy within it. When they froze it to absolute zero, where nothing should be moving and no energy should remain, they still detected energy—hence the term Zero Point Energy. This energy fuels the physical realm from a non-local quantum field. We can draw energy from this field and focus it in our innermost being. All matter, all energy particles—from atoms to nuclei and electrons—are constantly blinking in and out of this quantum or spiritual realm, this quantum field. They do so at an incredibly fast rate (at Planck’s constant, which is 12 thousand billionths of a second), so you are engaging in a realm and picking up energy that is designed to effectively mean that you have a limitless supply of energy. You’re never going to know that some of your cells are in that realm and then coming out of that realm energised — you’re not going to know it, other than God telling you it’s true.

Scientists say this energy is so powerful and limitless that a sugar-cube-sized amount of zero-point energy could power 400 billion galaxies. It does not take something the size of a single grain of sugar to power our galaxy. This immense power is part of God’s creation, enabling the universe to operate within this field. Some researchers are working on harnessing zero-point energy for space travel, engines and other technologies. You may have seen it referenced in science fiction, like in the Stargate series, where it powered gateways and wormholes to travel between planets and dimensions. I believe there is truth in this, as I have experienced travelling through such portals.

We have access to this power source, but how do we open the seals or portals to engage this energy? How do we activate and release this limitless energy?

The Merkabah is figuratively described in the Bible as a chariot, giving us access to open these portals. We all have gateways within our spirit, soul and body. There are energy gates within us, gateways between heaven and earth, portals to under the earth and gateways between dimensions. There are north, south, east and west gates, everlasting doors or gateways from heaven into the earth. We can access all these gateways, but we have to learn how to navigate and use them correctly, as improper use has caused problems on earth.

The sons of God are beginning to administrate these gateways—between the solar system, planets, dimensions—to bring about the restoration of all things and creation’s freedom.

Our body, heart and consciousness all produce energy fields. The heart’s energy field extends around 10 feet (3 metres), while the brain’s field is only around 10 to 12 inches (30cm). Our body also emits energy fields and frequencies. These fields interact with the quantum unified energy field throughout creation.

By learning to activate our senses, we can engage with creation, feel and sense it. We can access portals or intersections between dimensions, be energised and travel through them. These are now being revealed and are part of what we are beginning to do as sons of God.

There are seven energy gateways within each of us, embedded in our physical being. Health and immortality come when these fields are balanced, vibrating at the correct frequency and energised. Portals or energy gates within us maintain this energy balance when they are open and flowing.  This is why we need to embrace and learn how to focus living light—rivers of living water—to energise our whole being.

Exponential increase

Now, heaven and our consciousness operate on a logarithmic exponential increase scale, meaning an increase of 10 to the power of an exponent. This is not mere addition or multiplication but an exponential progression—far beyond simply 1 + 1 or 2 × 2.

The seven seals or gateways release exponential energy as they are activated from heaven, producing increasing amounts of energy. I have learned to dissipate this energy into a field around me to avoid being overwhelmed. These energy gates can be understood as follows:

  • Gate 1: 1 × 2 = 2
  • Gate 2: 2 × 2 = 4
  • Gate 3: 4 × 4 = 16
  • Gate 4: 16 × 16 = 256

Whilst this seems a modest increase, the progression accelerates significantly:

  • Gate 5: 256 × 256 = 65,536
  • Gate 6: 65,536 × 65,536 = 4,294,967,296

This is a tremendous leap. Imagine the energy unleashed when the seventh gate is fully activated, with 4 billion multiplied by 4 billion. The resulting number is so vast it has no standard name: 1.8447 × 10¹⁹. This represents an unimaginable and virtually limitless energy source.

As we activate and increase the energy within our core, this energy can be distributed throughout our being, providing all we need. Our consciousness also operates logarithmically. For instance, a consciousness level of 1,000 could represent the mind of Christ. In comparison, a lower consciousness level of 80 is minimal. Remarkably, just a few individuals operating at a consciousness level of 400 could equate to five billion individuals at a level of 80.

This concept aligns with the biblical idea that ‘one can put a thousand to flight; two, ten thousand’. It is an exponential principle, which is why agreement, union and unity are crucial. When we (spirit, soul and body) are joined to the Lord—Father, Son and Spirit—we become one spirit with him. Our consciousness and zero-point energy function logarithmically, leading to limitless creative energy, enabling us to live immortally.

The Merkabah is a sacred geometric shape, connected to concepts like Metatron’s Cube and the Tree of Life. Learning to activate the Merkabah practically allows God’s glory (the weight of his presence within us) and his light to flow from within us—through our spirit, soul and body gates—energising and activating all our energy gates. This ensures we always have the energy needed to accomplish all that we see the Father doing.

To activate this flow, I suggest you visualise opening the Gateway of First Love, allowing the river of life to flow as described in Ezekiel. The river, which flows from under the temple’s East Gate, deepens from ankle deep to knee deep, to waist deep, until it becomes a river that cannot be crossed—bringing life wherever it goes. As we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, God’s presence within us can flow as a river of living water, filling and energising us.

By opening this gate and embracing this life energy—love, joy and peace—the presence of the Father, Son and Spirit in us begins to flow like a river. We drink of it, partake in it, let it fill us and flow through us. This living spiritual energy then flows through our spirit, soul and body, activating energy gates and wheels within wheels—imagery associated with the spinning discs of the Merkabah. In some traditions, these internal gateways are also known as chakras—a Sanskrit term for ‘spinning discs of light energy’. This powerful flow of life force within the body energises the Merkabah, activating it like a hydroelectric turbine and distributing energy throughout our being, enabling us to live as sons of God.

I would just encourage you to close your eyes
Come to a place of rest
Where you begin to feel and sense
That you are loved
You’re accepted
You are approved of

He unconditionally loves you

Just begin to slow down your mind
Slow down, relax your body
Begin to breathe deeply
Slow down your breathing

You’re breathing in the unconditional love of God
Breathing in life
You’re being energised

Be still
Come to that place of stillness

Picture Jesus knocking on the door within you
Knocking on your first love gate
Open that door

And as you open that door
Beyond the door is a well and a fountain
And that water begins to flow
And you can drink
Drink living water
Drink, receive that energy
Drink it in, partake of it
Drink deeply

You’re engaging Father, Son and Spirit
And their life
Their abundant life

That river flows through you
A river of life
It’s flowing energy
Filling your spirit
Flowing through your spiritual gateways

Go with the flow
It’s gone beyond ankle deep, knee deep, waist deep
And it’s flowing
Bringing life wherever it goes

And you’re flowing with it
You’re just flowing with the stream
And it’s flowing through your spirit
Flowing through your soul
Touching your soul, your mind, your emotion, your will

Touching every part of you
Your imagination, your choice

And it’s beginning to engage together
In your innermost being
And it comes and flows where you are in union
Spirit, soul and body
With Father, Son and Spirit
In oneness
To that place where there is light
There is the Merkabah
There is this inner source
And it begins to activate
And it begins to energise

That energy generates rivers flowing
They flow to each of your seven energy gates
From top to bottom

And each gate is beginning to energise
To begin with, it’s energised partially
Giving you just enough energy that you can handle
But as you learn to generate and focus
And intentionally engage that flow
It can activate all of the spiritual connection you need
In the spirit
To be able to see and discern and engage

It can flow through your words
As living words of power
As an oracle
It can flow out from the different energy gates
From your heart
From each of those seven gates
Until you begin to feel activated

Draw on that immortal living energy
To touch the cells of your body
Just see those rivers flowing
Touching every cell

Touching every aspect of your physical being
Energising it
Bringing life
Bringing health
Bringing wholeness

And as that energy is forming an energy field
Let it flow around you
Let it create a field of living energy
Which will touch other people with life
Which will touch other people with healing and health and power

Live every day within an energy field of immortality
Of abundant life
Living light energy
Illuminating your mind
Activating every aspect of your being
Bringing you to that place now
Of oneness of wholeness of union
Embraced in the perichoresis of Father, Son and Spirit
Who are around you
You are in the circle of their life and light
Drawing from that unified field of energy
Drawing from life
Living abundantly

I encourage you, you can stay there, stay in that place. Practise training your senses so that you can discern. Practise opening that gate every day. Practise flowing, flowing with it.

It may start off ankle deep. You may produce a small amount of energy in you. But as you flow with it, as you learn to generate and practise it, to drink deeply, to be flowing; it will increase to knee deep. It will increase to waist deep. It will increase until it is flowing – and you are flowing, filled with living energy.

404. Framing Hell in a New Light

Mike Parsons

That’s what happened with me. My eschatology got deconstructed, and then the same verses led me to a view where hell doesn’t exist in the form I thought it did. In fact, hell doesn’t exist at all, because it’s not even in the Bible. But it does talk about Gehenna, it does talk about Hades, it does talk about Sheol—the grave. So, it talks about those things, but it also talks about them in a restorative way, not in a punishment way.

I know it’s hard because I’ve been through it. But I’ve been through it, and I’ve continued the process of realising that a lot of what I was taught was referring to the period of transition—out of the old and into the new—until the end finally came. And that is the end. No prophecy came after that. It was all fulfilled.

Jesus actually said that. He said, “Unless this comes to an end,” and, “Unless every ‘i’ is dotted and every ‘t’ is crossed,” and all that, you know—then the end won’t come. Well, the end did come. So that is the end: all things were fulfilled. It says in Luke that all things were fulfilled; every prophetic statement was fulfilled. All the promises of God were fulfilled in Jesus. It says in Corinthians, all the covenants were therefore fulfilled, because covenants are promises. So, they all got fulfilled. And I think that draws a line under it.

So, let’s listen to God and Jesus and the Spirit every day, because they’re speaking to us—not through a book, but in an inner, small voice as they dwell in us. There are a lot of people who aren’t listening to that voice, and a lot of people, obviously, who don’t even know that voice exists in them yet. But God is not going to stop until they do, in revealing the truth of their inclusion in Christ, their reconciliation in Christ, and their forgiveness through what Jesus did on the cross—which is an amazing, good-news testimony that the world needs to hear. But, “They’re all going to be cast into hell if they don’t accept Jesus”—that’s not a good-news testimony. No, that’s bad news. Let’s give good news!

And I think the world will begin to find God—who is a God of love and who loves them too much to let them be lost eternally for punishment. He loves them too much for that. He loves them, and according to Ephesians 1:4 he’s already made sure—predestined them to become restored to face-to-face intimacy. It’s predestined, even before the foundation of the world, that everyone would eventually be restored. People can resist that restoration. But people cannot resist God’s love forever.

I don’t believe God’s love will ever fail. It will never stop until everyone is fully restored back into relationship with him. Because he loves us.

401. Cardiognosis: Expanding Your Heart

Mike Parsons

A deeper knowing

I think cardiognosis is often perceived as being connected to the Father’s heart and, therefore, the knowledge of his heart. That is true, and a heart-to-heart relationship with him will give us an unfolding knowledge of his heart. However, it’s not necessarily a cognitive process where he tells us things directly. Rather, it’s about knowing—a deeper knowing.

To truly feel the heart of God, our own hearts must expand. We cannot contain the fullness of God’s heart if our own is fractured, damaged or broken. Wholeness is essential. Beyond that, our hearts must grow in their capacity for compassion and love as we grow and mature. This level of love requires an expansion of our heart.

We also have a choice—we can open our hearts towards certain things, or we can close them. To open our hearts means giving access to those things God is working with or for. When we feel his heart, God desires that we respond out of his heart, motivated by his compassion, rather than out of duty or obligation. It’s not about thinking, “Oh, God has shown me something, so I suppose I’d better do this.” Instead, it’s about being moved by his desire and compassion as we come to know and discern his heart. This process is an intimate cardiognosis—a heart-to-heart revelation.

Engage with creation

We can also open our hearts towards other things. For example, there have been times when I’ve engaged with creation, and my heart has expanded. I’ve felt the sadness, loneliness and disconnect of creation, which stirred a deeper desire for its restoration and freedom. Engaging with a situation in such a way allows our hearts to expand and to develop a greater love, compassion and connection than we might have experienced before.

As we operate in sonship and the desires that come with it, we begin to see, feel and sense things differently. This awareness prevents us from becoming oblivious to what’s happening around us. Instead, we engage it. I can reach out to creation and engage in cardiognosis with it. I can open my heart to feel what creation is experiencing.

Similarly, I can open my heart towards others. When I speak at conferences, I choose to open my heart and spirit to the people there. I surround the space—wherever it might be—with my spirit to create a safe environment where people could engage with me. In doing so, I become more aware of their needs and am drawn to speak about what is most relevant to them.

In the past, I engaged my spirit to create a safe place, but I’ve since learned to engage my heart as well. It’s not just about creating a safe space but about making it a place of real connection. This requires a willingness to feel.

Open our hearts to experience

Years ago, empathy was often encouraged. Some would intercede for others by empathising with their pain, sometimes expressing this through wailing or outward emotional displays. I don’t think that is really what it is talking about. It is not about feeling someone’s pain and becoming emotionally broken. Instead, I would focus on relating to where someone is and being motivated to engage with them for their good, rather than simply sympathise with them. Some of what I saw in intercession didn’t sit well with me. Perhaps it’s because I’m not mercy-gift oriented, but I felt that all they were doing was wailing without actually achieving anything. Did it achieve anything? Maybe it did. But it didn’t feel like where I was, and I certainly didn’t respond in that way very often.

But I do feel I can choose to open my heart. I can choose to engage my heart and my emotions to feel and sense and be more connected to a
person, or a situation, or creation itself; and this is what I believe cardiognosis to be. It’s not about intellectual knowledge but experiential knowledge—knowing through experience. If we don’t open our hearts to experience something, we won’t truly know it; we’ll only have information about it. True knowledge comes through personal testimony and encounter, not just information.

Engaging heart-to-heart

I believe God calls us to be holistically involved in situations. Sometimes, even our physical bodies can react or sense the dynamics of a situation. It’s about engaging with the whole of who we are—spirit, soul and body. In the past, I relied more on engaging with my spirit because I was more comfortable with that. Over time, however, I’ve allowed my emotions and heart to become more involved, engaging heart-to-heart in a way I hadn’t before.

This change has come as I’ve connected more deeply with the heart of God. That connection inspires and moves me in a way it never did before. I believe this is part of growing in true knowledge.

What has happened and what God has done—he is the same God, and he hasn’t changed. He remains a God of grace, mercy and love. If Adam hadn’t followed Eve, God’s grace, mercy and love would still have applied to her, and she could have received that if she had chosen not to continue on her own path. God would have made a way for her to be restored because his desire is always for relationship. He desires us to come into that relationship, but it requires us to let go of our own way.

Adam wasn’t deceived, though; Eve was. She was deceived into letting go of what she already had to try and attain something she could never achieve. That striving, born of separation, left her and the rest of mankind worn out, trying to become something God already saw them as. The idea of “you can be like God” was redundant because she already was like God. But now, this had to be done independently of him.

Adam chose to follow her. Perhaps it was out of a desire to see her redeemed, though he didn’t understand what would come from that decision. In doing so, both lost their identity, and the struggle to regain it brought a flood of emotions: “Who am I? Why am I here? What is all this about?” This separation affected how Adam engaged with God, no longer able to connect with him as he once had. Yet, even then, God met them. While they hid in the bushes, feeling guilty, naked and ashamed, God came to them.

Throughout history, God has continued to meet us, drawing us back into relationship with him. If Eve had chosen to turn back, would she have had to wait for Jesus? No. The fiery sword was there, and she could have chosen to enter. Perhaps Adam might have helped her to do so. But, in the end, they didn’t. They chose otherwise, setting humanity on this independent path that so many still follow today.

Jesus came to fully undo everything lost through their choices. God has remained consistent—a loving, merciful God who has always worked to restore us. This is why I don’t believe Eve would have been banished forever or left without the opportunity to return. God’s grace and mercy would have triumphed over her mistakes.

Their choice, however, shaped human history. Their line brought forth the promise of redemption in Jesus, as prophesied. He overcame, undoing the enemy’s deception. The same enemy who had deceived Eve tried to deceive Jesus in the wilderness, offering shortcuts and power apart from God. But Jesus resisted, succeeding where Adam and Eve had failed.

Through Jesus, we now have the opportunity to experience what Adam and Eve were originally designed to enjoy. God’s loving kindness never changes or fails, and whatever it would have taken for Eve to be restored would have been possible. His grace, mercy and love would always have been sufficient. Although they didn’t make that choice, Jesus came to undo the damage, restoring our vision of who we are so we can live in that truth.

378. Fear vs. Reverence | What does it mean to fear God?

Mike Parsons

Introduction to the Fear of God

When it comes to the fear of God, I think we need to move beyond the word “fear” as something associated with being afraid – being afraid of someone or being afraid of God. Instead, think of awe and respect, a deep sense of reverence for who God really is. In this way, there is no need to reconcile fear with love. Perfect love casts out fear, so it cannot mean being afraid of God in the sense of fearing what He might do or fearing punishment.

God didn’t kill Ananias and Sapphira

In the story of Ananias and Sapphira, it was not actually God who killed them. What happened was that, rather than administering God’s love and forgiveness, Peter spoke death over them, and the power of his words caused their deaths. Nowhere in the story does it say God killed them or took any direct action against them. It was the guilt they felt, combined with Peter’s lack of forgiveness, that caused this. God did not intend for this; His mercy would overcome anything we do. So, God does not kill people, nor does He punish. Perfect love is an expression of God’s best for people, and God wants to bring good out of every situation. When you read the story of Ananias and Sapphira, you see that it was Peter who cursed them, not God. This highlights the power of words and the authority Peter had, but he was acting out of the wrong spirit. He should have forgiven them, said, “God forgives you, let us restore you.” We are meant to carry one another’s burdens, not to punish each other.

Reverence, Respect and Honour

So, what is a practical example of the fear of God in action, when you understand it as reverence, respect and honour? It would be me going before the throne of God, falling on my face and casting my crowns before him in awe. There’s that sense of “Wow, you are so awesome, so wonderful.” There’s a weight to his presence that is amazing. But in another instance, I might sit on the Father’s lap on the throne of grace, feeling nothing but His pleasure and desire for me, simply enjoying His presence – which I do often. So, do not assume that just because the Bible says “the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom,” that it means being afraid of him. Honouring God for who He is as the source of all wisdom and knowledge is the beginning of wisdom. The evangelical Christian world often programmes us to fear God to keep us in line. But, in reality, it is His love, His joy, and the wonderful peace and rest I have in Him that keep me following Him – not a fear of punishment. I do not worry that if I get something wrong, He will punish me or that something bad will happen to me. In fact, if I fear that something bad will happen, that fear could invite it into my life. Fear is like negative faith, generating a negative force in my life if I believe it. But God is never going to do that to me.

Rob, Kill and Destroy

Who does function in fear? The enemy seeks to rob, kill and destroy, and he will use our fear against us. This is what happened with Ananias and Sapphira: their guilt and Peter’s words allowed life to be taken from them. They lost their future because they were not restored. But as soon as they entered the realms of heaven as part of the cloud of witnesses, which they now are, every tear and regret would have been washed away. They would hold no negative memory of what they did, having been made whole. Now, they are part of the cloud of witnesses, fully restored, having forgiven Peter, who also realises that his actions were not good. Hopefully, God would have shown him this when he entered that realm, so he would not carry any regret, fear, or negativity with him either.

Unconditional Love of God

God is unconditionally loving towards us, though there are consequences to what we do. These consequences can bring about certain outcomes, but God’s mercy seeks to overcome them. So do not feel guilt, shame or condemnation – those feelings never come from God. Always receive forgiveness, reconciliation and restoration, for those are what God brings. God wants to love you so deeply that you know you are unconditionally loved and can come to know who you truly are. From that place, you can enjoy life, resting in His goodness, mercy, and love.

375. Discover the Secrets of the Merkabah

Mike Parsons

What is the Merkabah?

I want to share some insights into our core or innermost being, known as the Merkabah, and delve deeper into its significance. The Merkabah serves as a focal point for the “rivers of living water”—the flow of abundant, immortal life and spiritual energy distributed within us. It grants us access to limitless grace and living light energy. But what is the Merkabah, and how can we activate and use it practically?

You may encounter many interpretations of the Merkabah online, some of which might seem weird or mystical. If you decide to research further, please use discernment, as there is a lot of misleading information about it. You’ll likely come across mystical and New Age concepts that use similar terminology but may obscure the truth with layers of deception. The words may sound the same, but the truth can be hidden, which is why spiritual discernment is essential.

I would not recommend delving into Jewish mystical texts like the Kabbalah for the truth. Jesus is the Truth, and we do not need to seek it in old religions that ceased with the destruction of the temple. You might find terms like “sacred geometry,” “Sephiroth,” or “Metatron’s Cube,” which may be confusing or even enticing. I encourage you to focus on God, Jesus the Truth, and the Holy Spirit as our guide on this journey of discovery.

Please do not just accept what I am saying. Take it back to the Father and get first-hand revelation (not information) so that you can embrace it for yourselves.

Merkabah, which you may sometimes see spelt “Merkabah” or “Merkaba,” is actually three words combined: “Mer,” meaning a light rotating within itself; “Ka,” which refers to the human spirit; and “Ba,” signifying the physical body or the reality that the spirit holds. In the Bible, “Merkabah” is translated as “chariot” and appears 44 times, often a vehicle of light or a chariot of divine power.

In Ezekiel, for instance, the throne of God is described as the Merkabah, represented by a four-wheel chariot driven by four living creatures, the Chayoth,—each having four wings and four faces (man, lion, ox and eagle). These figures symbolise aspects of our nature aligned with the order of Melchizedek, a topic for further exploration. In other texts like Jeremiah and Isaiah, Merkabah is associated with chariots in a whirlwind, underscoring its connection to divine movement and power.

In Ezekiel, three angelic types are linked to the Merkabah: the Chayoth (living creatures), the Ophanim (wheels within wheels), and the Seraphim (burning ones). These beings often connect to humanity’s cherubic nature, carrying God’s image through the four faces of the order of Melchizedek: Lion, Ox, Eagle and Man; or King, Prophet/Oracle, Legislator and Priest. In 1 Chronicles 28, the instructions given to build the temple link the chariot (merkabah) with the Cherubim and the Ark of the Covenant.

The Merkabah is described as a spirit body surrounded by counter-rotating fields of light, the “wheels within wheels,” spirals of energy that allow the spirit body to transcend dimensions: the “chariot of ascension”. In ancient Egyptian thought it was rotating light that would transport the spirit and body from one realm to another. It is often represented by two interconnected tetrahedrons of light, forming a “stellar octangular” or a star tetrahedron—a symmetrical geometric shape where one tetrahedron points upwards and the other downwards. Other sacred geometrical shapes are contained within it, such as the seed of life and Metatron’s cube. It represents heaven and earth, connected through our spiritual and physical positions.

However, our focus is not on its appearance but on how it functions and how we can engage with it practically in our lives. The Merkabah connects to our energy field and operates as a transducer of zero-point energy—a limitless source of life-giving energy, essential for health and wholeness. This energy field can fluctuate between low frequencies, which might bring imbalance or illness, and higher frequencies that foster abundant life and unity. The Merkabah is woven into our genetic code, our eternal identity, and the merging of the eternal with the physical. It reveals the true essence of who we are in God and in union of spirit, soul and body.

According to Ecclesiastes, eternity has been set in our hearts, and I believe this eternity is the Merkabah, where time and eternity converge within us. Here, our innermost being resonates with our original identity in God. Our existence is designed to be at rest, balanced in love, joy, and peace—a harmonious state that releases the energy of immortality. This requires integration of spirit, soul and body, a unity that releases abundant life and limitless energy. Immortality is challenging when we’re fragmented or divided; it requires transformation, a surrender of the soul to let divine energy flow from within.

The Merkabah is composed of intertwining layers of living light, quantum or “zero-point” energy, creating a tight matrix at our core that, when activated, begins to spin and grow. This spinning light appears spherical and acts as a conduit, interfacing with the unified quantum field around us. It allows us to connect with everything, as it ties into the divine fabric, the ether, in which all creation is held together.

The Merkabah acts as a conduit for zero-point energy, drawing limitless energy into the body. As the sons of God, we may soon understand how to tap into this energy source, enabling us to function independently of earthly power grids. Imagine the potential—one sugar cube of zero-point energy could power 400 billion galaxies!

Uses of the Merkabah

Safety
One of the Merkabah’s purposes is safety, or protection. The Merkabah is an energy field—a generator, really. Now, I know this may sound like science fiction, but it’s actually something that science is beginning to uncover. This energy generates a protective field around us that shields us from all sorts of harmful forces—whether entities, physical attacks, or even negative electromagnetic fields. All those things that can impact us physically, the Merkabah can help shield us from by creating a protective barrier from within.

Travel
Another powerful use of the Merkabah is travel. The Merkabah can transport us—body, soul and spirit—from one place to another. This means it can enable translation, transrelocation, and even trans-dimensional movement, all powered by the energy within.

Healing and Regeneration
The Merkabah is also instrumental in healing and regeneration. It can help rejuvenate our soul and physical body by generating abundant life energy within. This energy works with our subtle energy fields, interacting with the natural flows within us. Many years ago, concepts like energy meridians might have been dismissed as quack medicine, but they are now being recognised scientifically. More and more, people are using these insights to generate healing frequencies that support wholeness. As we connect with the unified field, this energy flows in, raising our frequency and helping us live in the fullness of life, health and even immortality.

This healing energy from the Merkabah is not just about extending life—it is about living with abundance and vitality. We don’t just want to ‘not die’; we want to thrive and be who we are meant to be in relationship with God. And this energy flows through frequencies of intention—love, joy, and peace—bringing us into rest and helping us access the life force of God within. In my own meditations around rest, I have learned to draw on this flow of love, joy and peace. I have experienced that deep stillness, learning how this energy flows and works within, and have trained my senses, as described in John 4 and John 7, where rivers of living water can flow from our being, energising our core and distributing life through the seven gates, or chakras.

The Seven Energy Gates (Chakras)
These energy gates are also known as seals or chakras. ‘Chakra’ is just a Sanskrit term meaning “disc of energy.” There are seven primary gates: the crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacral, and root. Each has its own function:

– Crown: Connects us to the heavenly realm
– Heart: Grounds us in the realm we live in
– Root: Links us to the rest of creation

These three are foundational; the other chakras come into play when we function in insight, communication, creativity, or feeling. All seven gates work together to generate the energy we need to fulfil our calling and purpose on a daily basis.

The Merkabah can be activated and developed through intentional practice, meditation, and by focusing our consciousness. From a place of rest, energy flows more powerfully, energising spirit, soul and body, creating an energy field around us. This is like the story of the temple described in Ezekiel, from which living water flows outward, becoming ankle-deep, knee-deep, waist-deep and so on, bringing life wherever it goes.

The Merkabah can be developed or enhanced by drawing energy down from heaven to earth through our body as a gateway; through our first love gate, through the very presence of Father, Son and Spirit in us. Conscious intentional grounding allows flowing of spiritual energy from
the River of Life into and through the body, and it is both cleansing and
energising. it is a flow of Living Water which is designed to bring about the
abundance that God intends us to live in.

Signalling and Communication
The Merkabah also connects us to the grace of God and the living light within everything, enabling us to communicate with others, angelic beings, and all of creation, even across dimensions. Using the principle of quantum entanglement, our spirit can reach anywhere within the universe, instantly connecting us to that reality. This allows us to connect with and engage across realms in a way that transcends both distance and time.

Sensitivity
Through practice, using the Merkabah increases our sensitivity to physical and spiritual sensations. We learn to tune into energy fields, sensing the atmospheres in different spaces. Hebrews 5:14 talks about training our senses to discern between good and evil, which is achievable through intentional practice.

Joy
Joy, too, is associated with the Merkabah; as Jesus said, His joy is within us so our joy may be complete. When we are filled with energy and health, we are naturally more joyful and grateful, and that overflows as positive, life-giving energy toward others and creation.

Abilities
With the Merkabah, we also have the potential to unlock spiritual abilities such as telepathy, telekinesis, pre- and post-cognition, and enhanced creativity. These gifts, aligned with our identity in God, are part of how we were originally created.

Broadcasting
The Merkabah lets us broadcast energy—reaching others, in this and other realms and even in other dimensions. Through focused, intentional energy, we connect and make these connections with people, realms and more.  I have done this many times; to begin with I did not know how to do it, other than just do it! But then God then showed me that this is what the energy in me enabled me to do; when I released it from my innermost being, it was energised within the Merkabah and connected me to other realms, dimensions, and particularly to people I was trying to reach and connect with in this realm.

The frequency of our sonship is broadcast through the Merkabah within us, which contains multiple portals designed to connect with various dimensions of heaven and other dimensional realities. These dimensions are tuning into our frequency, seeking connection and help. Our responsibility is to ensure we broadcast love, joy, peace and rest, intentionally focusing positive energy across these portals. This is how I engage effortlessly—by choosing to connect through my innermost being, not my mind, but through a union of thought and being, aligned with the Father’s heart and intentions as He reveals them to me.

Convergence and Coherence
The Merkabah serves as a hub that connects us to God’s heart and our heavenly identity and position of government in Christ, bringing heaven to earth. We are intended to be a point of convergence between time and eternity, heaven and earth. When we are in this state, there is a coherence—a rhythm of the heart, mind and spirit working in unity. We are designed to operate in harmony, without discord, which is when our spirit, soul and body are truly in union and oneness. This is the ideal state for living in health, wholeness, and even immortality.

Non-linear, multidimensional lifestyle

When the heart, mind and emotions align, we find ourselves in harmony with God, with each other and with creation. Everything was made to be in union, to be one.  As we grow into our identity as sons of God, we mature into a non-linear, multidimensional way of life, much like Adam would have if he had continued along the path of the Tree of Life toward an ascended state. Through this journey, we discover how to reconnect to the Eternal Now—outside the realms of time and space. Unconditional love will gradually transform us, transfiguring our bodies and renewing our minds into a fully expanded state of consciousness. This is not just knowledge; it is a deep awareness of who we truly are. We will live in complete knowledge of our identity as sons of God, rooted in rest—a state of being rather than doing. Everything flows naturally from this place of rest. We no longer need to “do” to find our identity.

We can start by visualising the Gateway of First Love opening within us, connecting with the life energy of love, joy and peace as a river of living water. This living water flows in us, fills us, and then flows through us, allowing a stream of spiritual energy to circulate within and around us. By consciously surrendering to this flow, instead of resisting or trying to control it, we we consciously choose to be in harmony—spirit, soul and body united and whole. When we are in sync, we can intentionally activate our energy gates, visualising the “wheels within wheels” spinning and generating a powerful flow of life force energy. This flow energises the Merkabah, creating a kind of hydroelectric turbine effect that powers our abilities, enabling us to operate at our full potential, beyond the limitations we have been used to.

At this level, we become co-creators with God. We are not just observers but participants in the creative process, able to engage frequencies of light, sound and intention to manifest our choices and bring new realities into being. For example, the first time I created something, it was at the Father’s prompting. Without fully understanding how, I trusted His guidance and released a creative energy from within my innermost being, which took form as a galaxy. Over time, I learned to do this intentionally, responding to the Father’s call by focusing my energy and intention. In another instance, I released a blue light, calling people to arise in their sonship. Now, I understand how this energy flows from within me, and I have repeated it numerous times.

On one more recent occasion, I was asked by Guardians in a heavenly courtroom to create more Guardians, as they were needed. At first, I hesitated and checked it out with the Father, as He had not asked me directly. He reassured me, reminding me that I knew how to release creative energy, just as I had done before. So, aligning my intention with the Father’s heart, I created the Guardians and assigned them to the Council, who then placed them to dimensional portals in constellations across the cosmos. I shared this experience with others; some asked, “Can we do that?”—and they did. They approached it with their own (perhaps more creative) style, coming up with descriptions of what the Guardians looked like, their colours, and all the details. For me, it was more about just releasing that creative energy from within. All of us can do that. We each have the Father, Son and Spirit’s creative force within us; we just need to focus it with intention and a willing “yes.”

When we pray for someone or lay hands on them for healing, the energy we draw on is the life of God flowing through us. It is not from us independently; it is the river of life within, redirected to a specific need—someone’s DNA, heart or body. Sometimes healing happens even when we are not fully aware of what we are doing, but as we grow in understanding, we become more intentional, seeking alignment with the Father’s heart. Jesus did only what He saw the Father doing, and this is how we are called to operate as well: in love, rest, humility, and from the Father’s heart. This way, we avoid drawing attention to ourselves or taking any glory. Living this way, we become vessels of God’s love and creative energy, bringing freedom, restoration and healing.

This may all sound rather technical, and it can be complex, but for me it’s simply the life I live. I have practised and developed these ways of operating until they have become second nature. Now, I no longer have to think about activating gateways or focusing on specific aspects of my identity. Instead, I am constantly connected with the Father’s heart and receiving whatever knowledge I need from Him. As I walk in my identity as a son, all I require to fulfil my purpose flows to me naturally.

For the most part, this means I just enjoy everyday life. I live each day in love, joy and peace. I live loved, I love living and I live loving. Admittedly, it’s not always easy, and there are people we are called to love who may not “deserve” it (by our standards). But if Jesus could forgive those who hurt Him, then we too can extend unconditional love. By embodying this love, we become a channel for living energy in the world, bringing life wherever we go and contributing to the restoration of all things.

Our destiny as sons of God is to release this love and creative power in everyday life, transforming and renewing the world around us simply by being who we are. When we allow God’s life and energy to flow through us, we create a field of love that touches and changes lives. Just by ‘being’, we can bring about transformation and let the reality of God’s love impact everyone we encounter.

Activation: Energise the Merkabah

Close your eyes.
Start breathing slowly.
breathe in slowly;
hold it,
and breathe out slowly,
breathing in
the very breath of God,
the life of God,
focusing your thinking on God who is love.

And as you’re breathing in,
let love flow, flow and flow into you,
flow around you, flow into you,
and let it rest upon you so you can be still.

Let God love you,
And feel and sense
the unconditional nature of that love,
where you can be still and know that He is love.

You can be still and know that He is love.
Be still and know that He is joy.
Be still and know that He is peace.
Be still and know that He is truth,
and light, and life,
and limitless grace and triumphant mercy.

It may take a little bit of time sometimes
to slow down your thinking and focus on love.
Come to that place of love.

[And as you’re doing that,
I’m just going to release some sounds,
and these frequencies.
I want to encourage you
to let the frequency and sound
of the intention of love
touch your physical,
emotional,
and spiritual being.
Let this sound go around you,
and in you and through you
generating energy, frequency.]

Jesus is knocking on that door within your first love gate,
you can picture that door, picture Him knocking.
Beyond that door is a well;
choose to open the door
and drink from the well, from the fountain.
It’s living water.
It’s flowing as a frequency and an energy of life.
And as it begins to flow,
flow with it as it forms a river.

Choose to flow with it
as these waves of energy,
begin to flow within your innermost being;
that river flowing through the gateways of your spirit,
flowing through your soul,
just beginning to converge in the core of your being,
the Merkabah
which begins to energise –
energy forming, spinning, increasing.
Flowing from you,
as rivers of living water
energising each gate.

Energising your crown,
your ability to connect to heaven.
Energising your spiritual insight,
knowing truth and revelation;
Energising what you think and what you say,
when you speak,
speaking with the energy
of the voice of God as an oracle,
Energising your heart,
feeling and releasing love,
unconditional love.

Each of those seven gates,
the creativity, feelings
deep within your innermost being,
the gut instincts, the knowing,
energised, connecting you to creation, the root
grounded with that unified quantum field.

You are connected,
you can become spaghettified,
every atom of your being can be connected to creation.
Feel and sense creation.
Feel and sense your sonship touching creation – broadcasting, communicating, beyond yourself,
through those portals within your innermost being.

You may want to travel along that portal,
you may want to send a message,
an intention of love to someone in particular.
Focus that intention of love
and let it travel through that entanglement you have
with someone that you carry in your heart,
to touch them with love.
Limitless energy
generated from your innermost being,
flowing around you,
creating an energy field –
a field of light,
a field of love.

You can choose to stay in that place.
If you’re engaged, just feel free to stay there.

This is not something that is just a one-off, but something that we need to develop. We need to practise day after day,
practise generating flow; so that we can learn to become sensitive, and learn to focus these things in our lives, and through our lives to others and out into creation itself.

371. Mindset of Immortality

Mike Parsons

Physical age

Your age does not have to dictate a decline in energy or health. In fact, I have more energy now than I did in my twenties. I can manage my energy because I generate what I need to do whatever I need to accomplish. This highlights that physical age is not the same as how one feels or lives. For instance, I am 66 years old, but how I feel and how I live are what truly matter. While it is true that everyone gets older with each passing day, this does not necessarily lead to decline, either in health or vitality. Ageing does not have to bring deterioration to the cells, as my own cells are functioning perfectly well.

From this perspective, it is about mindset rather than appearance. There are people—like desert fathers or ancient ones—who, while they may not look young, possess the ability to choose how they experience life. For example, a friend of mine encountered someone ancient in spirit, and at different times, this person appeared both young and old. When asked how this was possible, the person replied that they could choose how they appeared.

Sometimes, people associate wisdom with age or appearance, while others see youth as a purely physical attribute. However, it is actually the mindset by which one lives that determines the true measure of vitality, not how one looks. This ancient person explained that they could appear a certain age to some, and another age to others, depending on what they wished to convey. I believe that when we embrace the mindset of immortality, we are no longer controlled by age; instead, we rule over it. Immortality becomes an expression of our state of being and consciousness, rather than just physical appearance.

For example, Jesus appeared differently to different people after His resurrection. When He appeared to Mary, she did not recognise Him as Jesus and mistook Him for a gardener. Some may say that she was crying and thus could not see clearly, but that is not the case. Similarly, on the road to Emmaus, Jesus walked with disciples who knew Him, yet they did not recognise Him either. His appearance must have changed, only revealing Himself to them later in a form they could recognise. When He appeared to Thomas, He allowed him to see His wounds as proof of who He was. I do not think He carried those wounds everywhere, but He revealed them specifically so Thomas could see and believe.

I firmly believe that, as we live more fully in this reality of sonship, we will be able to choose our appearance. Personally, I do not worry about how I look, as I know how I feel and how I live. I do not need to look twenty; that would be quite odd for my family and those around me. While it would not bother me to look twenty, I am content with my 66-year-old appearance. More importantly, the cells in my body are not decaying, because ageing is not synonymous with death.

Jesus aged from infancy to His thirties, and had He not given Himself up to death, He would have continued ageing without succumbing to natural causes. He chose death so He could take on our mortality and bring us life through His resurrection. Therefore, it is all about the mindset we choose to live in. I live in a mindset of immortality, where physical ageing is irrelevant.

I have no desire to be alive at a hundred if I am not fully healthy and able to fulfil my purpose. What is the point of living if one is not enjoying life, full of energy and vitality? This is why many people do not consider immortality; they do not want to continue living the kind of life they currently lead. But for me, I am fully at peace with my life and I enjoy it. I believe we will learn to live in this world without being subject to it, focusing on the quality of life rather than merely its duration.

Quality of life

The quality of life, not just the fact that it will not end, is what defines true immortality. You could live for 500 years, but if you are bedridden and immobile, the quality of life is lacking. Immortal life is more about the quality of existence than the simple fact of not dying. The key question is, what quality of life would you choose to have, and can you maintain it despite the pressures around us that encourage the acceptance of death?

From a young age, people are programmed to see ageing as leading inevitably to death, rather than to wisdom or maturity in sonship—the state of living as a fully realised child of God. This mindset must shift to one of immortality, where age is irrelevant and eternal life is defined by the abilities and opportunities it offers. These abilities include the capacity to dwell in both spiritual and physical realms, travel by thought, and exist in multiple dimensions. Immortality is far more than the absence of death; it is about living life in its fullest, as God intended.

Many people have different views on immortality. Some might think it simply means not dying, but in reality, it requires preparation for a long and fulfilling life. How will you live if death is no longer a concern? Jesus promised abundant life, yet the enemy seeks to rob, kill, and destroy. The focus should not be on avoiding death but on embracing the abundance of life that Jesus promised.

Consider this: if you were to live for the next hundred years, would you continue working to earn a wage, or would you find a way to provide for yourself supernaturally? These are important questions because our current financial systems are not designed to last for centuries. Most pension schemes are built on the assumption that people will live for a few decades beyond retirement, not a hundred years. If your pension pot runs dry, what then? The financial systems of the world, which rely on electronic money with no real assets behind them, are fragile. When they collapse, we will need a new way of living—one that is not dependent on these systems.

God will give us insight into how to prepare for this future, so we can live free from the world’s control. Jesus, after His resurrection, was able to manifest food and ate with His disciples. There are even people today, known as breatharians, who believe they can survive on air alone. These are just some examples of how we might live differently if we embrace a mindset of immortality and prepare for the changes to come.

As systems collapse—financial, political, and otherwise—people will need to look for solutions beyond what the world currently offers. This could be a manifestation of God’s Kingdom on Earth, as it is in Heaven. Those who trust in today’s systems will find themselves needing to transition to something new, and we, too, must find a way to live in alignment with Heaven’s reality.

So, it is not enough to say, “I will not die.” The real question is, “How will I live?” Abundant life is our focus, not merely the avoidance of death. We should be asking ourselves what that abundant life looks like and preparing for it now, with a perspective that enables us to choose our reality. Many people are not yet thinking this way, but it is a mindset we can all embrace.

368. No, Your Heart is “Not “Deceitfully Wicked”

Mike Parsons

The heart is deceitful

We cannot know who God really is other than through unconditional love, and we cannot know our true identity other than through unconditional love, because it is revealed in that loving relationship with God himself. The verse I want to highlight here is Jeremiah 17:9. When you compare the NIV with the Septuagint, you see how God’s view of mankind has been twisted by the incorrect translation of this verse.

In the NIV, it reads: “The heart is deceitful above all things.” That’s a powerful statement. “And beyond cure.” Well, that’s a pretty hopeless statement: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Now, that statement has had a major effect on how people view themselves and others, putting them in a position where the soul is never fully healed, made whole, or restored, because if it’s so wicked, deceitful, and beyond cure, how can it be? It’s beyond healing, beyond restoration. But I don’t believe that’s true.

The heart of man is deep

So, what does the Septuagint say? In Jeremiah 17:9 (which is Jeremiah 17:5 in the Septuagint due to the differences in verse structure), it says: “The heart of man is deep beyond all things, and it is the man. Even so, who can know him?” In reality, what this is saying is that our heart is not wicked, deceitful, and beyond cure. Instead, it is deep beyond anything we could understand ourselves, and it really is who we are. Therefore, we cannot know who we really are in our own flesh, in our own understanding; it has to come through our relationship with God.

This different translation shapes how we perceive ourselves and others. The NIV gives a very low view of humanity. I was conditioned by that view: man being wicked, corrupted, totally depraved. It created a theological spectrum of “worm theology” – the belief that you are no one and nothing, and you had better hope that God has mercy on you. Even after receiving salvation, many Christians still don’t believe who they truly are. They still believe they need to be humble and think poorly of themselves, giving them a diminished view of being sons and Christians, less than what God intended us to have.

The value of the soul

If our heart is deceitful, desperately wicked, and beyond cure, then what hope is there for us? It fosters the mindset of always being a sinner “saved by grace.” It’s a bit like the story of Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore, who always has this downbeat attitude: “Oh, I’m no good, and everything is going to be bad.” It creates that dynamic. This degrades the soul’s value and worth, leading to a belief that you can never really trust it.

When we first enter into a relationship where our spirit and soul are reconnected with the Holy Spirit, there’s a struggle between the soul and spirit. The soul is accustomed to dictating how we live based on what we believe, our upbringing, and our experiences, while the spirit brings us into the revelation of who we really are, revealing our true eternal nature. It draws us back to the fact that God has placed eternity in our hearts and wants to bring us into an amazing relationship, where we come home and return to Him.

That relationship is completely undermined by the degrading of the value of the soul. In the early church, especially within the Catholic tradition, this mindset led to self-persecution – people whipping themselves, kneeling on broken glass, and engaging in horrendous acts. Why did they think that way? Because they believed they were lesser than God intended. This view creates suspicion of the soul and devalues humanity. By degrading humanity, there’s a gospel message to sell: “We’re so bad, we need saving,” using the fear of punishment to sell that message.

Fearfully and wonderfully made

The reality is, God doesn’t view us as bad. He sees us through the lens of Jesus and who He made us to be – His sons. We’ve always been His sons; we’ve never not been His sons. But that’s not how I was taught to believe. I was taught to believe that I wasn’t good enough and never would be. And while we can’t be good enough in our own strength, when we become who we truly are, we begin to live out a whole different dynamic of sonship.

The Septuagint actually says the heart of man is deep beyond all things, and it is the man. The human heart is deep, multifaceted, and amazing, created in God’s image and likeness. Psalm 139 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made. God has a vast sum of amazing thoughts about us, and we need to learn those thoughts. Our minds need to be deconstructed from the negative things we might have believed, so we can know the truth of agreeing with God about who we really are.

366. Decoding the Old Testament | Beyond the Literal

Mike Parsons

A very literal perspective

A lot of our understanding of the Old Testament comes from what we’ve been taught from a very literal perspective. However, much of the Old Testament can also be figurative. There’s poetry, and all sorts of things which can have a deeper meaning for us. In Noah’s day, the flood is often referred to in terms of Jesus being the Saviour, and it’s illustrative of how God came and rescued those who were willing to get on the ark.

What we must be careful of is not taking this too literally, as it was written with a different understanding of God. They didn’t have the New Testament understanding of God, nor did they know God in the way Jesus revealed Him. Their perspective was through their own understanding at the time. When we look at it now, we see it doesn’t line up with the God that Jesus came to reveal. So it’s our understanding that needs adjusting, not the idea that God was ever like that. God didn’t destroy the world.

Figuratively as well as literally

Now, there are those who say, “Yes, but the world was totally corrupt, and there were no genetically pure people left other than Noah.” Illustratively, of course, God desires that nothing within us be contrary to His image, the image He created us in. Our lives are being transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we come into that correct image. You can view these things figuratively as well as literally.

When it comes to questions like Sodom and Gomorrah—who caused the fire and brimstone? Well, who causes earthquakes? God doesn’t cause them. Who causes many other things? These are often the result of the natural world being in tension, not yet restored, groaning and longing for the sons of God to be revealed.

Fire and brimstone

Now, when you look at fire and brimstone—fire is often seen as God’s consuming fire. But we tend to think God destroyed them with fire. Fire could also be seen as a purifying force, a purification of what Sodom and Gomorrah represented, rather than a literal destruction of two cities. Some people believe they’ve found Sodom and Gomorrah, pointing to tar pits in the Middle East.

Brimstone actually means “God’s presence”—it’s the word “sulfur.” Brimstone is mentioned in the Book of Revelation, and the word used is “Theon,” from “Theos,” meaning “God.” So, brimstone signifies the presence of God, and God’s presence is purifying. These stories can be seen in that light. I know God didn’t cause these events because He doesn’t pour down judgment on people in that way. However, He does judge things that operate against the truth and will bring fire and brimstone to anything in our lives that hinders us from knowing and experiencing the truth and His love. But He’s not destroying people—He’s destroying the obstacles in our way.

There are different ways to look at it. Ultimately, I believe that God is love, God is good, and what He intends for us is to know His goodness and love. A lot of the Old Testament stories are figurative, but they’re written in a way that often doesn’t differentiate clearly between sowing and reaping. If someone sowed something bad, they reaped the consequences, not from God, but as a result of their actions.

The one who accuses

So, who brings about the consequence? The one who accuses and then comes to execute that accusation. We sow, and we reap the accusations against us for what we’ve sown. You could say the enemy brought the fire. In the undifferentiated view of God, if something bad happened, they thought God must have done it. But it could have been the enemy bringing the consequences of their behaviour, as the enemy seeks to rob, kill, and destroy.

Jesus said the enemy comes to do just that. So, who brought fire and brimstone? The enemy. Who brought the flood? You could say the enemy, or you could say the Earth itself reacted to the violence and horror, as described in Genesis 6, where violence was continual. The Earth washed itself clean. There are different ways to view it.

God is good

What I do know is that God is love, God is good, and He doesn’t kill or punish anyone, even if the Old Testament seems to say otherwise. Jesus came to reveal the truth. He said, “You’ve heard it said, but I’m saying to you,” and “If you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father.” Jesus didn’t destroy anyone. He only wanted to gather them to Himself because that’s what love does.
