Simplicity of the gospel

Over many years, even hundreds of years, false doctrine has infiltrated the church and shaped things into what we see today, and people have simply accepted it. However, there are explanations for this and different alternatives to all of it. To be honest, why spend your time trying to understand something that was never written for you in the first place?

With all of this, whether it is true or not, let us go back to the simplicity of the gospel that Jesus talked about. Let us love one another. We do not have to agree: let us love one another. Let us love the world rather than trying to convince someone of something. Let the Holy Spirit, who is the only one who can renew someone’s mind, do that work. If people are genuine, then you can have a conversation, but if they are just trying to prove you wrong, then it is a waste of time.

A different view of God

If someone is genuinely searching and thinking, “I am struggling because this does not align with God, how could this be God?”, then they are on a journey towards restoration and renewal of their mind, and you can help them along that path. If all they want to do is convince you that you are wrong, and that there is going to be tribulation and judgment and a millennium and all of that, then that is a very deceptive doctrine, and you will not argue someone out of it. I think God will renew many people’s minds and deconstruct a lot of people, but many will remain stuck in religion and in the system, sadly. But many are leaving it, and many are coming to a different view of God.

We can help them discover that God is love by loving them. It is better to love them than to argue with them. It is better to keep a friend than to win an argument and lose a friend. I think saying, “Look, I do not really want to get into a lot of this stuff, because I think it will just cause problems in our relationship, and I value our relationship more than being right,” and leaving it at that, is often the best way.

It is better to keep a friend than to win an argument.

It is a difficult deception that keeps people in darkness and in bondage, and ultimately only God can bring the light into that. If people had tried to convince me that my eschatology was wrong back in the 1980s, I would not have believed them. But God spoke to me. God did it. I could not argue with God. I just went on a journey where he unfolded a whole different view that I had never even imagined.

God deconstructed me himself

I did not read books about it at first. God showed me through the Spirit by taking me through the whole thing. Once I realised that my whole understanding had been twisted, then I found some books that supported that view, and I realised I was not on my own. Loads of other people believed this as well. But I did not find it through other people. God totally deconstructed me over a two or three year period himself. Then that was confirmed by me reading other things, and there were people who were helpful to me, especially David Chilton: Paradise Restored, The Great Tribulation, and The Days of Vengeance, which is his book on Revelation, a massive book. David Chilton started off as a partial preterist in that he believed chapter 20 of Revelation was still future, but he ended up a full preterist because he came to realise that it was all in the past. He got himself excommunicated from the group he was in because he believed that and was persecuted.

Inevitably, I think, if you are open, you will move through partial preterism into preterism. I do not want to be labelled a preterist or not, because there are other things within that system that I do not necessarily think are true, but let us say I am a realised eschatologist. All eschatology is realised. It is already the end. The study of the last things is the study of what happened in the past, not the study of what will happen in the future. For me, that is where I have moved towards.

Not the end of the world

Ultimately, my understanding of that, and the same Bible verses that talk about what would happen at the end of the old covenant, also talk about and have been interpreted as what is hell. Then I realised, I do not believe this is talking about the end of the world. So this is also not the end of the world. Gehenna is not hell. Gehenna is literally talking about the end of the age when the old covenant was put into the fire and destroyed. Jerusalem and the people were put into the fire in Gehenna if they continued in Jerusalem, as Jesus warned them would happen.

They did. The Romans crucified hundreds of thousands and burned them in Gehenna. That was not the end of their life. That was the end of their physical body. Their actual soul would go into the fire of God’s love and hopefully bring about their restoration. I imagine a lot of people would have remembered what Jesus said when the armies turned up, but it was too late if they were besieged, and they would probably have remembered what Jesus said, “You are going to end up in Gehenna.” Hopefully, they would also then have remembered Jesus’s offer of life.

Once you are susceptible to programming because of the nature of the organisations you trust – being fed by your pastor, and being fed by the apostle, or being fed by the prophet – and that they hear from God and tell you that God said this, then you are susceptible to receiving beliefs which are clearly not true. But because you trust the system you’re in, you believe them.

Hence, all sorts of conspiracies.

Hence, all these prophetic people come out with all this political stuff. It gets bought hook, line and sinker by people because they are conditioned that those people must be right because they are prophets: they must hear God.

And the reality is, we need to hear God for ourselves.

And don’t buy anything anyone else says, including me and anybody else, unless God affirms it to you.

We don’t know to what degree we have been programmed until God starts to deprogram us. And I would say that evangelicalism is very cult-like in the way in which it uses guilt and shame and condemnation to control people, and keep people in line; get people to toe the denominational line or the church line or whatever those beliefs are. Because, “You can’t belong unless you believe like us,” which is the fear, “Oh, I’m going to be on my own!”
And how many have been told, “Well, if you leave the church, or you’re coming out from under the covering, then Satan will get you!” And all of those fear-based things that we have all been told.
Well, God is love and God loves us unconditionally. And he wants us to enter into the fullness of that. And that will change our thinking.
And we will find that we get deconstructed from all of those belief systems, if we cooperate with him and we don’t keep resisting and fighting to hold on to our previous beliefs, which, you know, I discovered most of them were warped at least, if not completely wrong.

There is a new reality: that love now frames my thinking; that God frames my thinking from a totally different perspective. That religion has been removed.

Now, I am not saying that there are not still things to do, and God still did things along the way, but He could do things because my mind was now open to him.

So when the whole hell issue came up, my mind was open to him. And when he started to challenge my understanding of old covenant and my old covenant thinking of trying to be obedient to God and trying to please God and trying to earn… (really again by being obedient).

“I am not under the Law. Oh! Oh, yeah! Why am I trying to be obedient to a law when I’m not under a law?”

Because I was framed that way by evangelicalism.

So I had to realise that there are layers and layers of thinking that still needed renewing. Even when the system of belief was removed, there were still neural pathways that took me to beliefs that needed to be renewed and undone. And deconstruction has continued.

One by one all those pillars began to collapse and fall. Augustinianism was another pillar. I mean, I’ve never studied Augustine. I knew a little bit about Augustine and but I never studied him. I didn’t know what Augustinianism was. So I had to go and look it up.

When God said, “One of the pillars is Augustinianism,” I thought “How did I get that as a mindset?” Because it was embraced within Brethrenism and other streams of thought.

Hebrew mindsets, Greek mindsets, both included within the pillar system of my mind. Again, I thought, how did I get those? Because they’re based within the system of teaching that I had received all the way through.

So eventually when all those pillars collapse, what is there now?

We’re all in a process of having our minds renewed so that we won’t be moulded and shaped by the upbringing, conditioning and programming we’ve received. Our minds are renewed so we’re not pressed into that mould, but instead transformed into who He said we were from the beginning.

That process is relational. By experiencing Him, our minds are changed. We can’t make it happen by trying to use the Bible as a tool, since misunderstanding it was what created the problem in the first place. Our minds are changed when we let Him do it, as we submit ourselves to the relationship He gives us—always weighing everything with love as our measuring stick.

Identifying the Root Causes

Come to a place where God is able to show you what the issues really are. When you describe your brain as a battleground in relation to something like disease or cancer—if you are picturing it—then ask: Where did that come from? Ask the Father to show you. Was this something that runs in your family? Was it linked to a traumatic event? Something that happened in your life?

Most of the time, we are not afraid of things that are not somehow connected to us. So it is important to find the root. Then remember: perfect love casts out fear.

The Power of Perfect Love

Apply the perfect love of God to any fear you may be carrying. In your imagination, if this is something you can picture, or see, or feel—something that causes fear or pain to rise—then allow God to go to the root of that experience.

As I have said previously, you can apply the blood of Jesus. You can apply the love of God. Ask Jesus to remove that image from your imagination—to remove the memory of it from your mind—so that no neural pathway is triggered to lead you back down into that lie. Because disease is not God’s desire for you. God only has blessing for you. He is a good God. He wants the best for you.

Replacing Lies with Truth

So the way forward is not to try and stop picturing it or stop thinking about it. Instead, begin to think on the truth: God is my healer. He wants me to be whole. His desire for me is health and wholeness. Focus your meditation on that truth. If those fearful or negative thoughts return, dismiss those thoughts, take them captive and bring them back to the truth. You might say, This thought of cancer has come again, but it is not mine. God’s desire for me is to live in health—cancer-free, free from disease and sickness.

Each time the memory returns, apply the truth again. In fact, you can take it further: Thank you for this negative thought, because now I can apply the truth and turn this for good. Every time a negative thought comes, I will counter it with a positive one and turn it for good.

Eventually, you will find that external negative thoughts—those not coming from within you—will stop. And if there is anything internal, anything programmed in your subconscious, God can show you. That can then be removed, healed and restored.

Taking Thoughts Captive

Your imagination is neutral. If it is primed for death or destruction, ask why. Have you seen or watched things that lodged fear in your heart and mind? If so, those images can be purged. Your imagination and heart can be purified—by God’s love, by His power, by the blood of Jesus. Imagine it being washed clean, painted over, covered entirely, and removed.

You do not need to try and feel loved. Just relax and allow God to love you. Eventually, you will begin to recognise His love in a way that is meaningful to you. That might be through feeling emotionally close. It might be a sense of peace, blessing or comfort. Whatever that unique language is, God wants to speak it to you.

Tune in

Do not assume God is only going to speak with a voice in your head. You need to learn to discern His communication—to tune into it. Think of it like an old radio. At first, all you hear is static. Then you turn the dial and maybe catch a snatch of sound, until suddenly you tune it in and hear clearly.

It is like that with God. There may be lots of noise, lots of interference. But once you find the right frequency, you will begin to hear. Your frequency may be different to someone else’s. That is fine. Just find how you connect. You might feel, or sense, or simply know. It might not be words at all—it could be intuition. All of these are ways God chooses to communicate, and He will tailor it to you.

So just relax. God loves you. He loves you more than you know. He loves you right now—and that is enough. His love will never fail. It will never give up. It will never let you go. He wants you to live in the love, joy and peace of His presence—and enjoy it every single day.

The Bible was

At that time, the Bible was still the living Word of God for me—not Jesus. I saw the Bible as the Word that washed me, not Jesus. I relied on the Bible to separate my soul and spirit, rather than allowing Jesus to do it. I used the Bible as a mirror to see myself, rather than looking to Jesus or the Father.

Jesus, mediator of a New Covenant

During this process, I was presenting myself in the heavenly tabernacle as a living sahttps://freedomarc.blog/2014/01/21/present-a-living-sacrifice-3-practice/crifice, prepared by me, acting as my own high priest. Now, that might sound bizarre, but when I first received this revelation and began engaging in the heavenly tabernacle, this is what I thought I was doing.

I approached the laver—a basin used for washing—which I understood to have a bronze, mirror-like surface. I used it as a mirror to wash myself through the Bible, performing the role of my own high priest. I consumed the showbread as biblical food, again as my own high priest. I sought wisdom from the light of the menorah, the Bible, instead of Jesus. I engaged the altar, refining myself through the Bible, all the while acting as my own high priest.

In truth, all of this was a self-reliant, religious duty—a “do-it-yourself” form of faith. The reality, as I later came to understand, is that I am not my own high priest—Jesus is. Hebrews 6:20 makes it clear: “Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant, not me. I made no covenant with God—Jesus did.

Deeply ingrained religious mindsets

My deconstruction was revealing God’s grace and the finished work of Jesus, and that was challenging my old covenant thinking. My “do-it-yourself” religious mindset had trapped me and severely limited my ability to truly know God and my original, authentic self.

Now, that might sound really odd to you, and you may never have approached things in this way. I would certainly encourage you not to. However, it shows how deeply ingrained these mindsets can be, distorting our view of God and His work. Only when those limitations and restrictions were removed could I begin to discover my true origin, identity and destiny as a son of God. It was then I began to see how powerful the finished work of Jesus truly is.

Jesus accomplished everything on our behalf so we don’t need to rely on our own efforts. He died for me, and as me, so I died. He was resurrected for me, so I was resurrected. He ascended for me and I ascended. Jesus established the New Covenant for me and included me in it. He is my high priest, he is my mediator—I don’t have to do it myself. Jesus did everything necessary to restore the whole cosmos, reconciling everyone, corporately. We are not required to achieve this individually in our own strength. He has accomplished it on behalf of all mankind; he took away the sin of the entire cosmos.

Renewing the mind

We may need to transition into a renewed mindset because most of us have likely been programmed by some form of works-based mentality. Even if it wasn’t specifically religious works, cultural influences can drive us to succeed and build our identity around what we achieve. Transitioning from an old to a new mindset requires a deep deconstruction—a process of renewing the mind. it is a process, that is the key.

It’s a process that God orchestrates and that he leads us through. It is relational, and through this relationship, our thinking about God—and everything else—begins to change. Old restrictive doctrines and theological mindsets need to be replaced by a relational lifestyle of face-to-face innocence with God. This is the amazing truth of the relationship He has invited us into.

No need to fear deception

Through this, we can learn to trust our Father to father us without fear of deception. Personally, I struggled with a deep fear of “getting it wrong.” This fear was instilled in me through the belief that everything had to be done strictly “by the Bible,” as the Bible was my sole source of security against error and deception.

The reality, however, is that every Christian sect or cult uses the Bible in some way, so relying on it alone for safety didn’t truly protect me from deception. I believed the Bible was God’s Word: all of it was infallible, inspired, and entirely inerrant, and I thought that following it would keep me safe. But whose version was I following? Whose interpretation of the Bible was I basing my life on?

These questions were hard to face because I had been conditioned to think otherwise. In truth, that belief system itself was the deception that was keeping me religiously bound in fear, unable to move beyond the Bible. I was afraid that if I went beyond its pages, I’d fall into some weird error or be led astray. This is a fear shared by many people I have spoken to: their families and friends often worry that they are going off into some error or cult-like movement, because they are no longer going to church or no longer reading their Bible in the same way they once did.

But the fear of deception is itself a powerful form of deception that keeps us locked up. We don’t need to live in fear of deception, because we have the Holy Spirit of Truth within us, guiding us. Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life, is also in us and with us, discipling us. Our loving Father is within us, fathering us into our true identity as sons and daughters. And if we measure everything against agape love, we won’t stray far. Love is the ultimate standard, and if we root everything in love, we can trust the process.

And clothes, if you like,
And hand them over to the Father.

And let Him clothe you
In robes of righteousness,

In new covenant grace,
In mercy,
In unconditional love.

Become acquainted with perfection. To accommodate yourself to the delight and good pleasure of him will transform your thoughts afresh from within (Romans 12:2 Mirror Bible).

“Become acquainted with perfection…”
That can be challenging for many, as they struggle to see themselves as perfect. This is often because they view themselves through the lens of their present circumstances rather than seeing themselves as God sees them—as who He created them to be.

When we accommodate ourselves to his delight and good pleasure, it transforms our thoughts from within. By agreeing with who he made us to be and with who he is, our thinking is renewed. This transformation is not by an external but an internal process, where we embrace the life of God in us.

The word for transformation—also translated as transfiguration or metamorphosis—comes from the Greek word metamorphoō. It combines meta, meaning “change after being with,” and morphoō, meaning “changing form in alignment with inner reality.” True transformation happens after being with Him, as we are changed to reflect our authentic selves.

It’s important to realise that we don’t need to change ourselves through our own efforts. Instead, it’s intimacy with him that brings about change. This change flows from our inner reality—who we are, our true nature, our scroll, and our authentic real self. This is what will bring about the external transformation: realising that inner scroll of who we were made to be.

Jesus demonstrated this transformation in the Transfiguration.

And six days later Jesus took with Him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; and His garments became radiant and exceedingly white, as no launderer on earth can whiten them (Mark 9:2-3).

This wasn’t about his physical garments; it was a revelation of his true nature as a spiritual light being. There aren’t any particularly high mountains in or around Jerusalem, so this could signify the heavenly Mount Zion that Jesus was introducing them to. Jesus was showing them who he really was. The word transfigured here is the same as transformed—metamorphoō. He gave them a glimpse of his true glorious identity, his true majesty in light. Seeing Jesus as he truly is also helps us see ourselves as we truly are—as sons of God. If we are willing to embrace this metamorphosis from lies to truth, we’ll understand that we’re not meant to remain earthbound caterpillars. We’re meant to be like butterflies—able to soar in the heavens and live in both realms (a butterfly can both land and fly). We are destined to live in a totally different dynamic, a spiritual dynamic that goes with the physical. Jesus demonstrated this reality to show us what is possible.

After being with God in an intimate, face-to-face relationship, we are transformed. And it is face to face: we are not going there hiding, walking backwards or afraid to face him. [Now, I was afraid to face him, and literally I couldn’t face him until I had gone through my Dark Cloud experience; but I did engage him in a relationship that brought about transformation.]

This relationship brings about inner change, aligning us with our true origin and who we are at our core. The third strand of our DNA reflects this inner reality, and when it comes into alignment, we are transformed through encounters with God.

Agreeing with God’s mind

Agreeing with God’s mind (metanoia) brings transformation through the renewing of our minds. This renewal allows us to know our true origin, aligning us with it. We are made in the image and likeness of God, which means we are designed and created to be Godlike—that is our true identity. Renewing our minds is key to transformation so that how we think about ourselves aligns with how God thinks about us.

The Greek word for renewing is anakinosis. Ana means “up” or “completing a process,” and it intensifies kainos, which means “make fresh and new.” Properly understood, this renewal refers to a new development—a transformation achieved by God’s power, not by our own efforts. It is not by self-help, self-improvement, or a makeover. Instead, it is allowing him to transform us through encounters that renew our minds.

But we all, with unveiled faces, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18).

This means we don’t need to approach God with a covering—whether that covering is self-righteousness, offerings, or sacrifices. We come with unveiled faces, without fear, doubt, or unbelief. We can go and engage God as he is. When we look at the essence and character of God, we are being transformed into the image of what we are looking at. We look into the mirror of his face and look into his glory, so that we can see our glory reflected back. Through this, we are transformed from glory to glory and embrace who we really are.

This process happens gradually because if God showed us the full truth of who we are all at once, we wouldn’t be able to handle it. It would overwhelm us. So, he reveals it bit by bit, glory to glory.

To experience this transformation, we need face-to-face encounters with God. When we look into the mirror of his face, we see our reflection in his love. During these encounters, relax—don’t get tense or try to make something happen. Just allow God to do whatever he wants to do. Whether you feel it or not, God loves you and wants you to know that love. He wants you to know it in relation to who you truly are.

Face to Face with God (Activation)

I’d encourage you to begin now to relax as we enter into a short activation. Close your eyes and slow down your breathing. Start to focus on your breathing. Let it slow down. Begin thinking about God as love. Focus your thoughts on him loving you, wanting to show you his love.

Start breathing deeply. As you breathe in, know that you are breathing in the unconditional love of the Father. Breathe in, and breathe out slowly and deliberately. Consciously engage with what you are breathing—you are breathing in his essence, his love.

As you breathe in this unconditional love of God, feel it flowing through you, touching your innermost being. It moves in and around you, creating an atmosphere of rest. Rest in his love. Rest in his work. Rest in what he has done and in who he made you to be.

You are in a safe place—this is a safe place. In that safety, you have the choice to step out of the boat, to abandon yourself, sinking into the vast ocean of his unconditional love. He is there. Sink deeper, and deeper, and deeper.

As you sink deeper into his love, the Father longs to meet you. He wants to embrace you. Fix your thoughts on the Father’s embrace, on meeting him face to face, even in the depths of his love. The Father will draw near to you. You may sense it, feel it, or see it. He wants to hold you, to breathe his life into you so you can receive his living words, his living breath. He desires to be face to face with you in the intimacy of this wonderful relationship. You are safe in the Father’s arms of love. Secure. No fear. Perfect love casts out all fear.

As you are embraced within the depths of his love, listen. The Father may communicate his thoughts to you—those wonderful thoughts he has for you, his original desire for you. Allow yourself to be entwined with him, with the Father, in love.

398. Embrace Transformation and Renewal

Twelve High Chancellors’ houses

On my fourth engagement with the fire stones, I engaged with Wisdom regarding my sonship, identity and governmental authority. Wisdom began taking me on a journey, revealing deeper aspects of sonship. This relationship with Wisdom prepared me to go deeper with the Father.

Wisdom gave me a staff and a seal on a chain, placing it around my neck. These symbols of authority granted me access to the Twelve High Chancellors’ houses. I didn’t even know about these houses until Wisdom brought me there. Because of the seal and staff, I was recognised as having authority to enter. The staff also gave me access to Satan’s trophy room through a fiery door on Wisdom’s Heights, where I discovered my lost heritage and identity, as well as mantles and scrolls stolen by the enemy through deception, guilt, condemnation and shame. These weren’t just my scrolls; they belonged to many others. We can claim these back and have them restored.

Eventually, this led me into the consuming fire of God’s love, where I could preach to those in that place of refining love and help them come into a relationship with God. All of this unfolded as I embraced my authority as a son to operate in God’s love. Wisdom continued to guide me, unveiling a fuller understanding of my role as a son of God and showing how all of us share that same role.

As I embraced transformation, Wisdom guided me through the Twelve High Chancellors’ houses. These experiences tied closely to the Dance Floor mysteries, which facilitated the transformation of my life back to my origin. Cycles of change began to unfold as I engaged with God, transforming my thinking to align with His. When I entered the Chancellors’ houses, they felt familiar—almost like déjà vu, as if I had been there before, though I hadn’t. But I had danced in the mystery of those experiences, and there was a recognition of that within me, providing a sense of comfort and security.

The first of the twelve houses was the House of Precepts. This experience was deeply symbolic, designed to help me engage with and understand God’s revelations without needing every detail. The house was filled with countless windows, and each window represented a facet of God. Opening these windows allowed me to glimpse into the perichoresis of God in the Eternal Now, in which I discovered deeper aspects of His nature and character. Each precept of God gave me greater understanding of who He is and, in turn, who I am. Every encounter became a catalyst for metamorphosis – change and transformation.

Looking back, I realised that cycles of change had always been part of my life. Now, however, I understood them and could actively participate in the process. By embracing these cycles, the transformation accelerated. Through encounters on the fire stones and within the Twelve Chancellors’ houses, my identity and sonship were progressively unveiled. These experiences facilitated the process of transformation, bringing me closer to my origin.

I didn’t transform myself; I participated in the transformation process. My mind was renewed as I experienced the unconditional love, limitless grace and triumphant mercy of God. These encounters deconstructed old patterns and reconstructed my thinking in alignment with His love.

Living Sacrifice

Now, in those days, this was all really new to me. It wasn’t easy, but God made it easier for me because He gave me a reference point and an anchor for the process of transformation I was going through. That anchor was Romans 12:1-2.

Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

God used those familiar verses to help me understand and proactively cooperate as I chose to be a living sacrifice and then embraced the deconstruction and renewal of my mind that would take place. At that point on my journey, I still needed biblical confirmation to give me a sense of security. Later on, God Himself became my confirmation, and love became my place of security. But God was gracious and merciful, and He used what He knew would give me a sense of safety in this process.

Romans 12:1 says, “Therefore, I urge you, brethren.” Paul is clearly encouraging them strongly. “I urge you” is a really strong phrase—stronger than we might think today. It’s a very strong injunction. “By the mercies of God” means we don’t present ourselves in our own strength, for our own purpose, or with our own motivation. It is by the mercies of God that we can do this: to “present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, your spiritual service of worship.”

In other words, this is about our relationship with God. It’s about acknowledging who God is and surrendering to Him as God in our lives—letting go of the idea of being the god of our own lives. I presented myself as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God.

The verse goes on: “Do not be conformed”—pressed into a mould—”to this world.” That could mean the religious world, the cultural world, the political world, or anything else. But then it says, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” It’s the renewing of our mind that brings change, transformation, or metamorphosis.

“So that you may prove what the will of God is.” What is the will of God? It’s not a list of things we’re supposed to do. It’s about who we are. We are called to prove who God chose us to be—who He created us to be. That is “good, acceptable, and perfect.”

You are perfect. People often think, “Oh, the will of God is perfect,” and yes, it is. But the will of God is also good and acceptable when we embrace it. What this verse is really saying is that how God created you is good, acceptable, and perfect because you were made in the will of God.

So, every day, I presented myself as a living sacrifice to Jesus, my high priest, and let Him prepare me to be who I am. I didn’t approach this thinking, “Okay, I’m a living sacrifice, so what do I need to do to change? How do I renew my mind? Should I go on some program or course to fix my thinking?” Instead, I gave myself completely to Him and trusted him to prepare me.

Activation

When we do activations, many people ask, “How do I feel God’s love? I can’t feel God’s love—what does it even mean to feel God’s love?” Often, when I say, “Feel God’s love over you,” people respond with, “I don’t know what it is” or “I’m struggling.” Whatever your love language is, be open to experiencing it in some way. You might not immediately feel or fully understand it, but your spirit will engage with it. God will love you through a language that resonates with you and lets you know you’re loved. Maybe it is just through His presence. Maybe you’ll feel an emotional connection—or perhaps you won’t feel anything at all. But that doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Don’t try to analyse it; just relax. You don’t need to figure out what the words mean or strive to understand them. Instead, let them resonate with you. You may feel an emotion, or you may not, but I can guarantee that God is doing something good in you. Allow yourself to relax. Don’t tense up or try too hard; simply let God do what He wants to do. Whether you feel it or not, God loves you, and He wants you to know his love. He wants you to know His love in relation to who you truly are.

So now, I’d encourage you to relax as we move into a short activation.

Close your eyes and slow your breathing.
Focus on your breath and begin to slow it down,
turning your thoughts to God as love.
Concentrate on the truth that He loves you and wants to show you His love.

Start breathing deeply.
As you breathe in, you are breathing in the unconditional love of the Father. Breathe in, and breathe out, slowly and deliberately.
Consciously engage with what you’re breathing –
His very essence, His love.

His unconditional love, flowing through your entire being,
just as the breath you take in is transported from your lungs to your blood, and then to every part of your body.
As you breathe in His unconditional love,
it will touch your innermost being.

Be still and let God love you, whatever that looks or feels like for you.
Relax and begin to sense, feel, or receive His love.
Let His love, joy and peace –
those precepts, those characteristics of his nature –
touch you.

Maybe make you feel peaceful, or joyful.
Maybe make you feel content, or safe, or secure.
Whatever it is, as His love flows through and around you,
you will begin to be in an atmosphere of rest –
resting in His love, resting in His work, resting in what He has already done.
Resting in who He made you to be.
Resting.
