We already know enough

We only need to focus on doing what we are meant to do, which is to live out who we truly are in our identity. We already know enough to begin legislating for peace, facilitating transition, bringing love, spreading enlightenment, and helping people rediscover the true nature of God. We are part of this ongoing process—the progressive unveiling of truth—and we are called to be a light to the world.

While we may not be operating in the councils of heaven or involved in various galactic affairs, we can still play our part. We can simply be who we were always meant to be, and through that, bring about change. This doesn’t require us to know everything—indeed, trying to know all things would be impossible! We just need to focus on our own part.

We don’t need superstars

If our role is to help others, then it might involve providing discernment to guide them in understanding where they are and how they can find their own path. That is the key: we don’t need superstars or fame-seekers. We want people who are content being unknown—those who are not motivated by fortune or ego but who quietly work behind the scenes, doing their part faithfully.

Of course, there will be visible faces who inspire others, but the majority of the work is done by those unseen. There are those who have been around for hundreds of years—whether in caves, like the desert fathers, or elsewhere—continuing their work. As more people become enlightened in this way, they don’t die and have to start over after 70 or 80 years; instead, they continue their work steadfastly. Right now, there are individuals who are hundreds of years old, yet no one knows where they are or what they are doing, because they are not there to be known—they are there to function as a steady voice and consistent expression of God’s kingdom in love. That is how God usually operates.

When Elijah lamented that he was the only faithful one left, God told him, “You’re not alone—there are 4,000 others still faithful.” God is always at work, and if we cooperate with Him and live out our true identity, we will be part of this movement to bring about change and establish God’s kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

Quite a lot of deconstruction and renewing of our minds is needed to actually know the truth—and then to live in that truth. A lot of people will say, “Oh yeah, I can be multi-dimensional,” and then you ask, “Well, how does that work for you?” and they can’t really answer. Because although they believe it’s true, they’re not yet living in that truth. And that’s okay, because we’re all on a journey.

But God wants us to embrace the fullness of our sonship, which carries with it a whole different quality of life—what Justin (Justin Paul Abraham) would call “beyond human.” It’s beyond the limitations of humanity, because mankind was made in the image of God. We were never supposed to create our own image. Humanity, as we know it, is the image we’ve created for ourselves.

And I’m not going to be restricted by being human—because I’m not just human. I’m a son of God. I’m created to be beyond purely human, even though I’m living in a human plane of existence. I’m meant to live in a completely different realm—one of sonship. I believe that’s what the Father really wants to help us embrace and begin to live out. So yes, our immortality is definitely on the Father’s agenda—to get people to start thinking about the possibility, then embrace the possibility, and eventually go and live the possibility as a reality.

Of course, if you’re going to live forever, it raises a whole load of other questions: how, where, what are you going to do, how are you going to eat? All those questions. Some of the conferences Justin has been part of—and others as well—are beginning to ask these things. For example, what is the economy of immortality? Are we going to live on a financial plane, or are we going to rise above finances?

Are we talking about an economy of well-being, where simply being completely and utterly content and fulfilled in being me would free me from any need for recognition from others, or from the need to produce a self-image? Because I wouldn’t need that anymore.

Money is often tied to value and worth. If you earn more money, you’re seen as having more value to society. Your self-worth gets programmed into what makes you valuable—and often that boils down to money. In the world’s eyes, if you earn more, you must be more valuable. But actually, God wants us to see that it’s the image He made us in. He created us with value and worth intrinsically built in. I believe an economy of immortality is one free from money. That doesn’t mean there won’t be a functioning system—but if everyone is doing what they’re designed to do, no one needs to be paid for it, because we’d all support each other out of who we are and what we’re called to do.

If we were living in, say, a restoration city, and I’m doing what I’m meant to be doing while others are doing what they’re meant to be doing, then the whole thing functions. We don’t need a hierarchical system. I’m blessing someone, and someone’s blessing me—that’s covenant. The economy of immortality is covenant: what’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is mine. We’d all have enough for our needs and an abundance of overflow, because Jesus promised us abundant life—life in all its fullness.

So, what I see is that when we remove the limitations of identity that come through humanity, we also remove the programming that humanity has placed upon people—programming based on works, performance-driven worth, and earned value. All I need to do is be me. And if we’re all being who God intended us to be, then we’re not comparing ourselves with each other. I’m not saying, “I’m doing a more important job than you, therefore I’m worth more.” No—I only need to be me, and you only need to be you. That’s how we value each other—not by what we do, but by who we are.

That completely removes the need for financial remuneration. Money doesn’t have to make the world go round. And I think that’s where we’ll end up when we really start looking at the practical implications of living in immortality. What changes would that bring to the world if people began to live like that? I believe it would make a significant difference to our attitudes and our mindsets—towards each other, towards the world.

Because my sonship is connected to creation, and creation values me as a son. Creation gives me a place within its greater purpose, because creation is longing and waiting for the revealing of the sons of God, so that it too can be set free. There’s a vested interest, from creation’s point of view, in me being me—because that plays a role in creation’s freedom.

I did the same thing when I was on my journey. I found that whenever I was in a setting where I could just let go—usually in a worship setting or something similar at the time—I would notice my hand just drawing this sign. And I remember thinking, “What am I doing?” It felt a bit strange, but I just went with it because I didn’t really care what anyone else thought. I decided to just go with it.

Eventually, God began to show me that I was connecting with something, and He was unveiling an understanding of where I was in the beginning—the origin of my identity in Him—then bringing that into the present and outworking it in the present to create the future. It’s a continual pathway, drawing from where we are in relationship with God in the eternal now, living in intimacy with Him, and outworking that in the present, which then brings the future into place. What I do today becomes history, so today I can establish my future for tomorrow. Tomorrow is going to come, but what I do today can prepare for it out of what was in the eternal now—what was, what is, and what will be.

From doing to being

Sometimes people talk about the end and beginning of a circle, saying the end of one thing is always the beginning of another, which is true in a sense. But actually, God told me, “No, it’s not a circle; it’s this sign, the sign of my eternal covenant with man.” We were predestined to return to face-to-face relationship with Him, and that relationship enables us to outwork who we are in that state of being—what was, what is. I can just be.

I had always been very active because I’m quite an active person. I like to do things. So I was always focused on what I was doing today and how I was outworking things. It became a lot of activity. But God pulled me back from that place and showed me that it’s not about what I’m doing today—it’s about who I am today. My state of being has a greater impact than just what I do. Because what I do can sometimes come from a need, a desire, or something that isn’t necessarily from the heart of God. But if I’m flowing from what was and always is—because God is always in that eternal state—then I can simply be.

I started off doing and eventually became someone who could be. And that was really liberating because it meant I only needed to be in relationship with the Father, connected to His heart. That connection would inspire and motivate me to outwork His heart every day. But I didn’t have to keep asking, “What should I do today?” or “What needs to be done?” I just needed to be me. Because if I am me, that naturally creates space for the outworking of who I am in any situation. I could be more relaxed, at peace, at rest, without always wondering, “What should I be doing?” or “God, what are you doing?” It became a heart-to-heart relationship instead of a list of tasks.

In the beginning, God did give me lists because He met me where I was. But He didn’t leave me there. One day, He just stopped giving me anything to do and simply embraced me. And I remember struggling with that because I thought, “I’m not doing anything!” But He was showing me that being in that oneness was far more important than what I thought I needed to do. Being enabled a flow rather than duty, obligation, or what I thought I should be doing.

Just because I know how to do something doesn’t mean I need to do it.

Just because I know how to do something doesn’t mean I need to do it. And God demonstrated that to me over and over again. There were times when things were happening, and I’d go to God and ask, “Can I do something here?” And He’d say, “No, it’s all right. I’ve got it covered.” Someone else was doing something, and later on, I would find out who those people were. And that was great, because then I realised God was already at work in them. He didn’t need me, but if he did ask me to do something, that would be good. But I knew it would be coming out of a place where I was feeling his heart about it.

Connected in the spirit

And actually, sometimes feeling his heart about a situation but not having any sense that I should do something doesn’t mean I have to be passive, because I can still be encouraging others who God has assigned to do it. In a sense, when we’re connected in the spirit—because we’re all one in the spirit—then my encouragement can help somebody else feel secure in what they’re doing. So my heart wouldn’t be, “Oh, I wish I was doing that,” but rather, “How can I help encourage whoever is doing that so they are able to do it in the way God would want them to?”

My thoughts are always that way—I’m part of the whole, and God has many different ways of doing things. And of course, we can be doing things in the spirit without necessarily needing to know what we’re doing cognitively. I’m doing that all the time. That’s a state of being multi-dimensional, doing things in many different places without needing to be there in a conscious way, because my spirit is there. All our spirits are seated in heavenly places with Christ; we just haven’t mostly learned how to engage with it. But we’re there, so our spirit is active even if we’re not aware of what we’re doing. But we can become more aware as our soul and spirit begin to learn how to engage—until we don’t need to consciously engage because it’s just happening.

I can engage right now with whatever I might be doing in the spirit realm, but most of the time, I don’t need to, because that actually gives me more time to be here in a way that enables me to be at peace and at rest. It allows me to be a demonstration of that and to live it out with a more creational perspective. Before, I was so focused on what I was doing in the spirit realm that the earthly realm almost seemed secondary. But God really showed me the value of this realm—of living here and outworking who we are there, here: “on earth as it is in heaven“—in a way that made me much more connected to creation. I had more time to feel and sense what was going on around me, whereas before, my focus was so much on what I was doing in heaven that earthly things seemed less important. But actually, it’s creation that is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God, longing to be set free.

The groan of creation

There is an aspect of our sonship that is very much about the restoration of how God intended things to be here. And I found that having a more relaxed way of living with creation around me enabled me to tune into that more—to feel that groan and sense what was going on. Sometimes, even the earth groans at what we do to it and what we do to ourselves. You often see physical events happening in the world when significant things happen with people. There’s a kind of disturbance that we can bring peace into. We don’t want so-called natural disasters to follow human disasters—if we can bring peace so that the earth doesn’t react to what’s happening among people.

Reconcile the earth

There’s a lot going on in the world right now—many places where things are unfolding. I believe that, as sons of God, we have the ability to bring peace into these situations. Even if external peace isn’t happening between people, we can still reconcile the earth itself so that there isn’t a reaction from creation to what’s going on. I think that’s really important—that we are peacemakers. It would be great if we could bring peace into every environment; but at the very least we can bring peace between the earth, the creation we are part of, and anything negative that is going on.

396. Finding Balance: Spirit, Soul and Body in Union

It’s an interesting thing when you look at the Merkabah, the energy gates, the Sephiroth and the Tree of Life, and how they all relate to spirit, soul and body being fully in union and oneness. It’s not about being pulled one way or the other. I think being out of balance is where the soul is in control and starts taking energy, applying it for its own ends. You could call that a DIY perspective.

God’s built certain basic needs into us—needs He wants to meet, things He wants to provide. But when we’re not looking to Him, we start looking to other people to meet those needs. That’s when we start drawing from them instead of from God, which is out of balance. When the soul is dominant, it can even draw on the energy of the spirit to outwork its own humanistic perspective.

Spirit – Soul Balance

When spirit and soul are balanced, they’re not in tension or pulling against each other; they’re in relationship. Within the body, they work together. Then, when you look at someone else, you’re not looking at them from a selfish or physical perspective. Instead, you see their beauty—that is, who God created them to be. And that beauty could be physical, spiritual, emotional or about their character. There are so many aspects to it.

God wants it all balanced so that spirit and soul are in harmony, not competing. When they’re in balance, the energy flowing between them isn’t corrupted or perverted. It’s not being drawn off independently of our relationship with God. Beauty then becomes about seeing people the way God sees them, not based on what they can do for us or just their physical appearance.

Seeing People Through God’s Lens

When we’re in a balanced place, we can see people as God sees them—looking at their whole being, their aura, even the energy around them. It’s about honouring the person for who they are, who God made them to be. That includes encouraging them, nurturing them, helping meet their needs and seeing beyond the physical.

God meets our five core needs—purpose, security, significance, love and acceptance. But as sons of God, we can also encourage others in their purpose, give them security in our relationships with them, affirm their significance, love them unconditionally and accept them as they are.

A Kingdom Culture

So many people, especially women, feel pressure to look a certain way to gain acceptance. Some even go to extremes, like plastic surgery, to meet those expectations. But in the kingdom, we need a different culture—one where we see beyond the physical to the spirit and soul. We need to demonstrate what it means to honour people for who they really are.

This is where the energies within us—living water from our innermost being—come into play. Spirit and soul need to be in harmony and balance. If they’re off-balance, whether spiritually or emotionally, it affects how we live. You can’t be so spiritually focused that there’s no practical outworking in everyday life. Heavenly things need to be demonstrated on earth—“on earth as it is in heaven.”

Living in Oneness

When spirit, soul and body are in union and harmony, we have the energy we need to be ourselves. That balance comes through renewing our minds, healing our hearts and focusing our energy with the right motive—one of union and oneness with God. It’s about doing things from that balanced perspective, not from a soul-driven or selfish motivation.

When we’re balanced, we can look at someone and see the whole person—their frequency, their aura, their being—and honour who God created them to be. We can bless them with our attitude and approach, seeing them with love and respect. It’s about recognising the beauty and wholeness of the person, just as God intended.

381. Living Without Worry | A Guide to Seeking the Kingdom

If you are operating from the Father’s heart, doing only what the Father’s intentions are, then you can take the promise that all these things will be added to you and then outwork that promise. When it says, “take no thought,” it does not mean trying to live in denial or suppressing what might be the truth. Rather, it means not worrying about it, as your trust is in God’s provision.

God’s provision can come in many different ways—sometimes through work, sometimes through people blessing us, or in other ways. The phrase “take no thought” does not mean to avoid thinking about a situation but instead to avoid worry. It encourages us to bring the situation to the Father. Scripture says, “Come boldly to the throne of grace when you have a time of need to find grace and mercy.” There is nothing wrong with coming to the Father, saying, “I am running out of money for the end of the month,” and seeing what the Father’s heart is on the matter. Yet, you do not come from a place of worry or lack, but rather with a heart that shares your needs and life with the Father. Sharing your life with the Father is good and healthy. “Take no thought” does not mean you cannot think about it; it simply means not to dwell on it in a negative way based on worry, anxiety, or fear.

When you seek first the kingdom of God, all these things will be added, but that does not mean we are not involved in the “adding.” For instance, we may, as the Father directs us, call for things that are not as though they are. We can call for finance to manifest in our lives or for the manifestation of other things we need. We do not have to be negative or passive about it; we can be active and seek the Father’s heart for any guidance He would provide. We might be involved in that manifestation spiritually, by establishing things in heaven so they can be manifested on earth, or physically and practically, such as by taking up a job or something similar. But that involvement is as the Father directs us. The key is to seek first the kingdom, meaning to seek first God’s rule and His way of life.

The kingdom should not be thought of as a vast realm encompassing the universe; rather, consider the rule of God in and through your life. Ask yourself: what is God calling you to establish on earth as it is in heaven? Break it down to the basics and assess whether what you are doing aligns with God’s purpose for you. Are your actions consistent with who He made you to be? It is good to take time to reflect—are you in the right place, doing the right things and walking in line with the Father’s Heart?

Remember, your destiny is not a list of tasks but the person you are meant to be. It is about who you are, and once you understand that, it will naturally shape what you do. Sometimes, reflection with the Father reveals that you are on the right path, and you can continue looking for daily opportunities to outwork that. Other times, He might signal that it is time for a change—a new season, place or direction. Make changes only if you are led by the Father to do so, but remember that asking Him is always welcome. The Father wants us to ask. Scripture reminds us, “You do not have because you do not ask.” This is not about pleading but sharing your current state with Him so He can guide you, bring you peace and rest, and help you outwork these truths in your life and heart.

350. Discovering God’s Heart: Mandates and Blueprints

Receiving Mandates from God

When it comes to a mandate from God, it must be relational. Previously, I would ask, “What’s my mandate for today?” But God shifted me to focus on spending time with Him heart to heart. In doing so, I naturally understand His heart for the day, which guides and directs me in various situations. Knowing the Father’s heart allows us to creatively work out His intentions through who we are. I don’t ask for mandates anymore; instead, I engage with the Father’s heart and follow the desires and intentions He reveals.

When it involves another person, it’s about understanding the Father’s heart for them. We can’t force or control people to do what we or God want. Instead, we aim to create an environment where they can discover God’s desire for themselves. This involves nurturing and encouraging them to find their own identity and path in God, rather than just telling them what it is. Love is key to all relational matters. Showing unconditional love helps others connect with God and discover His desires for them.

Now, rather than seeking a specific mandate, I seek God’s heart to guide me and keep me operating in love. A mandate from God is permission to outwork His heart, so understanding His heart is essential. Intimacy and relationship are crucial, and love is always at the core of God’s intentions. Love can be direct and truthful, sometimes challenging what someone believes, but it is always active and with the right intentions. God provides the wisdom for how this love should be expressed.

Understanding and Implementing Blueprints

A blueprint from God is a pattern of what to build. It could be for anything: a car, a jumper, or a house. Blueprints outline the general structure and sometimes the details of what needs to be created. For example, a car blueprint shows its components and overall design but might not specify the colour. Similarly, God might give us a general blueprint with the flexibility to fill in the details as we go, or a detailed one specifying everything. The key is to understand that a blueprint is a guide, and how we implement it can vary based on the information given and our creativity.

Evolving Blueprints

Sometimes, blueprints from God evolve. Initially, you might receive a general idea of what God intends, but as you begin to establish it, more details and directions emerge. Consider a blueprint for a house: one house might be a bungalow, another a three-story mansion, and yet another a tent. They all serve as places to live but vary significantly in design and purpose. The key is recognizing that a blueprint sets the foundational intention, and as you work on it, you must be mindful of where and when it applies.

Blueprints also come with jurisdiction. You can’t build a house on someone else’s land without permission, or they would own it. Similarly, ensure you’re in the right place and time. God might show you a blueprint today but intend for you to start building it five years later, giving you time to prepare and grow into the role.

Understanding and implementing a blueprint often involves personal change and transformation. God may show you something, but you need to be ready for it. This readiness involves timing, personal growth, and sometimes, waiting for the right moment. Avoid being too hasty or too slow; be sensitive to the steps needed and the timing of each phase.

Collaboration

Blueprints indicate God’s plan for something He wants you to be involved in, often requiring collaboration with others. Building something significant often can’t be done alone. Be open to finding and engaging with the right people at the right time, as collective effort and unity are crucial. Clarity at the beginning is vital. Even a small deviation can lead to significant errors over time. Avoid rushing the process. A prophetic word or vision from God might not be for immediate action; it could be meant for years in the future. Take the time to talk with God, seek agreement, and ensure everyone involved is on the same page.

Case study: establishing an ekklesia

I once engaged with a group who were meeting together and seeking to establish an ekklesia. They wanted my help to discern God’s blueprint for their mission. Initially, they seemed to work well together, despite their different personalities—two couples, each with their own approach.

We sought God for the heavenly vision and wrote it down. I advised them to ensure that everyone was clear on what the blueprint meant because words can be interpreted differently by different people. For example, what one person understands by ekklesia might be very different from another’s interpretation.

Within about six weeks, I received feedback that things were not working out. As they discussed their vision further, it became clear that their interpretations of what God had said were vastly different. One couple had a very forceful approach, wanting things done their way, while the other couple was mild and gentle but had a clearer understanding of God’s intentions.

Eventually, they had to part ways because their end goals were different. Even though they had heard the same words from God, their interpretations were so divergent that collaboration was impossible. The couple who I believed had received the correct blueprint continued with their mission, while the other couple, who wanted to control the process, declined to meet with me for further discussions.

This experience highlighted the importance of establishing a clear, shared understanding when working with others on a blueprint. It’s crucial to lay a deep relational foundation and ensure everyone is on the same page from the start. If you’re building something together, like a car, one group might envision a production line with machinery, while the other sees a handcrafted labour of love. Without clear alignment, conflicts will arise quickly.

Summary

1. Mandates: It is better to engage with God’s heart to understand His intentions, rather than seeking specific tasks. Operate in love and allow God’s heart to guide you.

2. Blueprints: Recognise that they can and do evolve. Be mindful of jurisdiction, timing, and the need for personal growth. Collaborate with others but ensure clarity and unity in the process.

By aligning with God’s heart and timing you can faithfully fulfil God’s plans and purposes.

279. The Agreement of Heaven

Government in God’s kingdom is concerned with establishing everything in heaven first, in alignment with God’s desire, so that all things in the created order can be restored to God’s original intention and purpose and heaven be manifested on earth.

God includes us in His government. He wants us to get involved because He has given us authority for this creation. He is waiting for us to come into maturity to be able to fully operate that authority in creation to restore it. So we get to be involved both in heaven and on earth.

The power of agreement

The power of agreement is an awesome thing. If we are in agreement with God, we have a very powerful mandate; if we are not in agreement with Him, we are operating in our own strength. That is why so many people get weary and heavy-laden, because they do so much in their own strength and not in agreement with God and in His empowerment, in relationship with Him. Jesus said, “My yoke is easy and My burden is light” (Matthew 11:30). Most people go around with a heavy burden because they are carrying the weight of their own responsibility rather than walking yoked to Him in relationship, where He carries the weight.

We need to come into agreement with Him. It does not work the other way around. Religion tries to get Him to come into agreement with us by doing things to appease Him and make Him happy so that He will agree, to make us happy. For example, I could decide to establish Parsons’ Law: everyone gets to win the lottery! That law is never going to work, because it will not be recognised or agreed to in heaven. God is not going to come into agreement with that law. The way to get the agreement of heaven for something is to get it from God in the first place. When we do create legislation ourselves it is because we know the desires of His heart, it is not something we invent out of our own understanding or desires.

A reflection of heaven

If there were no government in heaven, we would not have government on earth. Whatever is on earth is a reflection of what is in heaven – it is just that earthly government is inevitably flawed because no earthly do-it-yourself governmental system is ever going to be what God’s government is in heaven. The purpose of government is to bring order, so that people can live in a place of safety, security, blessing and empowerment. God’s kingdom is the blessing to empower us to be fruitful, to multiply, to fill the earth, to subdue all obstacles and to rule – and then to expand that out into the rest of the solar system, galaxy, universe, dimensions and beyond – because there is no end to the increase of His government and of peace.

The ‘and of peace’ is particularly important because it is about wholeness. If we are not whole, then what we do in government will be coming out of brokenness, so it is important that we become more and more whole, healed and transformed and that our fragmentation has been dealt with.

Amateurs in the new

If I am happily doing the heavenly stuff but there is no corresponding manifestation on earth, it is easy for critics to point the finger and ask ‘what difference is that making?’ What I do in heaven must either change me, or how I am living, or change my community or nation. It must be achieving something. If we are going to establish government in a foundational way for ekklesias or embassies of heaven, then they have to be on earth. There is no point in having an embassy of heaven in heaven. Heaven does not need an embassy for itself in heaven, it needs to be represented on earth.

Who will do that? We cannot all sit around awaiting for someone else, supposedly more qualified, to step up. As I have said before, God would rather have an amateur in the new than a professional in the old. The professionals in the old have so much junk they will need to get rid of before they could possibly hope to lay a foundation in the new! So what He is looking for is willing people to say ‘Here am I, send me!’ We have to be willing to say ‘yes’ to establishing things on earth, otherwise we will not have any storehouses for the harvest. In fact, the harvest will only come if we do. We cannot afford to wait another 30 years for the next generation to come along.

That is what happened last time. In 1975, Bob Jones brought a word about preparing for a billion-fold harvest but 40 years later we had nothing to show for it. Now a new generation is arising, the Joshua generation. Those of the Moses generation who will not cross over and engage something new (and worse, who even discourage others from doing so) will die out in the wilderness. It is already happening. We will start to see a big change take place as these things start to unfold, when we start legislating for the light to shine and for people to see the truth.

Higher authority

Government that operates from a heavenly position and perspective also operates with a higher authority, using higher laws, which supersede those on the earthly plane. When we operate from above, we have higher authority to change things. When we operate below, we are trying to change things from the same perspective and with the same processes that created the problem. All those problems have been created by following the do-it-yourself path of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We are never going to solve the world’s problems by using the same pathway that created them.

We need to see the mountain of the house of the Lord raised up, which He has established; we are never going to be able to redeem the man-made ‘mountains of authority’ because God did not create them in the first place. They are worldly mountains that have come out of a worldly system and they are not redeemable. They cannot be restored to God’s original intent and purpose because they never were His intent or purpose. According to Isaiah and Micah, they are the hills that will run to us, saying “Let’s go up… that He may teach us His ways.” If today we had an example of a true embassy of heaven, fully functioning under heaven’s higher laws, with no sickness or disease (and therefore no covid-19), would that not be hugely attractive to the world?

Heaven’s authority is higher; and when we operate in heavenly authority, it supersedes all the problems we have here. But we have to outwork it: seeing what our Father is doing and being a gateway of heaven into the earth to establish it.

277. On Earth as in Heaven

We are living in a key time to engage and move forward as the sons of God. In the global shift which has begun to take place, we have a window of opportunity to step into our sonship and not shrink back. Let’s press in and begin to affect our communities, outwork the kingdom, see heaven established on earth and demonstrate what God is really like. That is what the whole world really needs: they need to meet the true God, their loving Father. Then they will discover that as His children they too have a destiny to fulfil; that they too have been called for a time such as this.

Cities of refuge

Several years ago, when God wanted to get my attention to what He was doing on the earth, He used a biblical term I would recognise, ‘cities of refuge’. As I began to ask Him what He meant by ‘cities of refuge’, whether they were literal cities, or figurative, or representative of something, He then started to talk to me using the term ‘embassies of heaven’ instead.

A city of refuge was a safe place where individuals could go if they were being pursued for something, somewhere they could be safe from fear. There is an aspect to what God is doing which reflects that: whatever is going on in the world, we do not have to live under any sense of fear when we are living under the government of heaven on earth. But ‘embassies of heaven’ added another dimension to it: an embassy is a place where an ambassador lives and operates, a representative of one country living in another. If we are ambassadors of heaven, living in an embassy of heaven, then we represent heaven; and that piece of territory, even though it is on the earth, lives under the laws of heaven rather than the laws of earth.

Ambassadors of heaven

Each of us is an ambassador who represents heaven. We are of the order of Melchizedek, the royal priesthood of heavenly priests and kings who carry heavenly authority in government and then operate as oracles and legislators on earth.

As we open our gateway to heaven and invite the presence of God within us, heaven flows through us as rivers of living water from our innermost being and we begin to outwork our identity as sons and a reflection of God on earth. We become oracles: we carry the heart of God and express it in creative ways, just as Jesus did. This is how people can see what a relationship with God is like, outworked in and through each of us.

We will outwork that heavenly government through our own lives: firstly as individuals but also then corporately, with others who are called to a particular place, territory, region, people group or other sphere of influence. So those who share a particular mandate, blueprint, calling or destiny will begin to build relationally together, seeking to establish things ‘on earth as it is in heaven’ together and to represent heaven on earth together.

Real relationship, real connection

We are not necessarily talking about literal, physical cities but we are talking about real relationship and real connection. Many people are in the early stages of this, but not many are yet connecting at a relational level with others who share the same clear blueprint and mandate for a specific purpose which would enable them to establish a foundation of heavenly government together.

If we have a blueprint for an embassy of heaven, it will need to be established in a very different way to ‘church’. People are beginning to talk about ‘ekklesia’ instead of ‘church’, but we can still find ourselves creating from our own understanding of what we think it should look like. It is more than a change of terminology. An ekklesia will have a very clear heavenly mandate and probably not look like anything we would recognise as ‘church’ when it gathers. We have to be open for a deconstruction of our understanding of what ekklesia is, reflecting something which is more heavenly and less earthly.

Our experience at Freedom Church

Much of what we have tried to do is still a mixture of the old and the new. Here at Freedom, we attempted to transition ten years ago, with the best of intentions and to the extent of the knowledge we then had. The principles were right but we lacked the maturity of revelation and character, personality and identity that were needed. So once again we have now deconstructed everything in order to rebuild according to a new pattern that God will give. Although we have not been able to meet, even in homes, because of the Covid-19 restrictions, we have been continuing relational connection with a view to establishing something built upon a more relational foundation than we had before. Throughout this time, we continue to minister to our community through Freedom Community Alliance, which is itself an expression of heaven on earth, although it looks nothing like the religious version of ‘ministry’ that you might expect.

Please understand that I really do not want to create a pattern here that other people try to copy: that would be following the same franchise model that the church usually adopts (though we might call it a denomination, or perhaps a stream). Each ekklesia needs to be individual and personalised to the people God calls to establish it and function within it, with a blueprint which may be different to any other.

Connect in relationship

So God is beginning to position people individually to begin to connect in relationship. Those relationships will form the foundation of an embassy or ekklesia and when those relationships are strong enough He will add to them. For the moment, they are very small and very scattered. But if they have the foundation both personally and corporately in God and have a clear blueprint that they are pursuing, not trying to do things in their own understanding, then they have the potential to grow very quickly.

God is preparing them out of sight, just as Joseph was prepared in the dungeon then suddenly raised up to be second in charge of a whole nation, with a God-given strategy to ‘save the world’. I guarantee that plenty of people in Egypt were unhappy about Joseph taking 20% of their harvest in the plentiful years because they did not understand why he was doing it. A lot of what God is doing is still in the deconstruction phase and people do not necessarily understand it at this time (to the religious, it must appear alarming and extremely threatening). I have been prophesying for years – or really, declaring and decreeing – that there would be times of great shaking that would cause people to lose faith in the established norms and to pursue new things. That is happening today: people’s trust in the systems they have followed all their lives (both worldly and religious) is being shaken.

After God’s heart

Whilst I do not personally know of anything that really looks like heaven yet, there are certainly precursors who are carrying aspects of it and are pursuing it. You, too, are called to establish things on earth as they are in heaven. God is calling you as a man or woman after His heart to serve His purpose in this generation. Do not disqualify yourself from that, be willing to embrace it. I encourage you, engage with God for yourself to find out more about how He sees you and what He has in mind for you. Begin to believe about yourself what He believes about you, and prepare to arise and take your place in the heavens and on the earth.
