361. Quantum Entanglement | Face to Face with God

A State of Being

When it comes to engaging with God throughout my day, much of it is more of a state of being rather than actively going and doing something. I find myself face to face in the spirit realm with God, heart to heart, all the time. It’s a multi-dimensional way of living, where you’re not always consciously doing something with your soul or mind. However, that doesn’t mean you aren’t spiritually engaged constantly. My soul is quantumly entangled and connected, so at the core of my being, I’m always connected to Heaven and to God.

Sometimes this connection is a cognitive engagement where we talk and share. But more often, it’s just a heart-to-heart connection—what I call ‘cardiognosis’, or knowledge of the heart, where I’m in tune with Him. My spirit is engaged, and I benefit from the flow of life, energy, revelation and truth by simply being with Him, rather than by doing many things. I actively enjoy life here, whether I’m working outside, talking to people, or doing my daily tasks. I draw on the Spirit within me, without feeling the need to do something specific to connect with God.

Resting in God’s Presence

This way of being is never a religious chore; there’s nothing I ‘have’ to do. I enjoy being in that state of rest and peace, and I remain consciously sensitive to the Father’s presence or Jesus within me, no matter what I’m doing. Whether I’m gardening, working in my workshop, or out in the fresh air, I find joy in these activities because I know God loves them too. After all, God is a great gardener, and Jesus was a carpenter. Sometimes I feel inspired, and sometimes I just sense that they’re enjoying my company as I go about my day.

I don’t engage in a lot of religious practices; instead, I enjoy just being. I enjoy hanging out, chatting and taking walks. Even when doing something mundane, like you testing milk or other routine tasks, I can still feel that connection to God’s peace and rest. The religious system often tries to convince us that we’re not doing well enough, but the truth is, God’s love is unconditional. He doesn’t place conditions on His love; He wants us to know that we’re approved and affirmed just as we are.

God simply wants relationship

God doesn’t see anyone as more important than another. He loves us all equally, even though we each have different roles in life. From God’s perspective, we are all His children, and if we can truly grasp that, we can free ourselves from the pressure of trying to serve or please God out of obligation. Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing—there was no list of tasks. Instead, He was in constant relationship with the Father. This is what Jesus was describing in John 14 when He said, “Where I am, you may be also.” He was talking about an intimate relationship of rest.

Jesus invites all who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest. The world and the religious system often push us towards stress, striving and worry about whether we’re doing enough. But God simply wants a relationship with us. He doesn’t want servants or slaves; He wants to share life with us, enjoying our common interests.

Thankful for God’s presence

I love sharing my life with God, sensing His joy in being with me, without feeling the need to do religious tasks. I encourage you to relax, enjoy life, and take moments throughout your day to centre yourself and refocus on that place of rest. I know that when you’re busy, you need to stay focused on what you’re doing. But every now and then, it helps to pause and be thankful for God’s presence. When I first started doing this, I set my watch to ping every hour, reminding me to refocus, be grateful, and acknowledge God’s presence with me.

This practice helped me to approach my work, not as something I ‘had’ to do, but as something I did with joy. If you are testing milk, you are serving others; I see it as a way of blessing people. Everything I do is done as before God, and that makes it a blessing. I don’t worry about whether I’m doing enough because I know God’s love is unconditional. If I did nothing, He would love me just the same, and if I were busy all day, He wouldn’t love me any more.

My identity comes from being in Him, not from what I do. No matter who you are or what you do, God sees you as He created you to be. He wants us to discover our true selves, freeing us from the sense of duty and religious obligation. God doesn’t want us to do things for Him; He wants us to do things with Him. Living in that place of rest, in partnership with God, is a completely different way of being.

355. Lucid Dreams and Creative Intent

1. Understanding Lucid Dreams as Divine Communication

Ultimately, if we’re open and we have a lucid type dream experience, it’s because God wants to speak to us in that way. It could be that it’s more difficult for Him to speak to us while we’re awake for various reasons—whether we’re distracted or, you know, sometimes it can just be harder. When you’re asleep, there’s less conscious activity around you, which can be a distraction because that’s all outside of your ability to interpret when you’re asleep. So, ask Him to show you if He has some insight for you, and whether He has a particular purpose for each encounter you’re having.

I don’t see a difference between lucid dreams and visions—lucid visions, if you like. They’re basically the same sort of encounter, just one happens when you’re asleep and the other when you’re awake.

2. Divine Communication During Sleep

Dreams—I’m not really the best person to ask about dreams in terms of Godly dreams, as I don’t get many, if any, that I’m aware of. However, God does speak to people through dreams. The only differentiation between a lucid dream and a vision is that you’re asleep rather than awake when you have it. They’re basically the same experience but in different formats. If you’re conscious of what’s going on in the dream and engaging with it, there’s no difference between that and being conscious in a vision and engaging with it.

If it’s a lucid dream and you’re interacting with it, then it’s possible that it’s a dream God is giving you and you’re in an encounter with Him. The other people who come into the dream may be part of that encounter—they could be visionary, meaning God is showing you a person and interacting, or that person’s spirit might be engaging in your dream. Again, it’s all about discerning what God’s purpose is for the experience. You need to go back to God and ask Him to show you what He was trying to communicate and the significance of a particular person, whether known or unknown, within your dream.

A lot of people have visionary experiences but don’t know what they’re about, so they have to go back to God and ask. If you’re interacting with the dream and things are happening, those things can be actual events, or they could be symbolic. Again, you have to discern that. For example, in many of the visionary encounters and experiences I’ve had, I was actively engaging, and things were happening to me. If I was in conversation with God during that experience, I could trust what He was saying. If God wasn’t there and I was simply seeing things or doing things, I would be more cautious about my interpretation of what was happening. Usually, I would check with God to ensure that I wasn’t putting my own spin on it.

3. Lucid Dreams vs. Visions

When I first encountered things like the High Chancellor’s houses, and Wisdom took me there, I engaged with the high chancellors and all of the houses. God wasn’t directly present in that encounter, but I believe He totally inspired it. Wisdom interacted with me on God’s behalf in many different ways, but I always went back and asked God for deeper insight. I wanted to make sure that the experience was pure, that I wasn’t interpreting it through my own filters or understanding it through my own experiences. I would always be more cautious when God wasn’t directly involved, but if He was showing me something or speaking to me, I was more confident that it was from Him.

As I became more experienced in these encounters, I grew more confident in my ability to discern and record them accurately. So, if you’re having lucid dreams, it might be worth asking God if you can have similar experiences while you’re awake. That way, you can engage with the experience more fully and perhaps even journal it as it happens. If a particular person appears in your dream and you’re unsure what to do about it, ask God to show you. Sometimes, a person might appear in a dream to prompt you to pray for them or protect them in some way. Over time, as you journey through these encounters and experiences, your discernment will grow, and you’ll become more able to understand what God is communicating to you.

4. Engaging with the Cloud of Witnesses

So, I do have another question, similar to this one: Have you ever engaged with the cloud of witnesses? You know, the people mentioned in Hebrews who didn’t fulfil their promises during their lifetimes. Has the Father ever asked you, as He did with the Guardians, to help fulfil those promises?

Yes, in a way, we are fulfilling all their unfulfilled promises simply by operating in this New Covenant relationship with God. They were all looking forward to the day that we now live in. Abraham and Moses, for example, saw something of the future. It says that Abraham saw Jesus’ day and was glad. They foresaw something, but it couldn’t be fulfilled in their time or through the Old Covenant. Fulfilment could only come through the New Covenant.

So, I often see the things we’re doing now as the manifestation of what they longed for but couldn’t fully realise in their time. Some people might say that they are surrounding us, cheering us on, because they want to see the full expression of what they could only partially experience in their history.

I’ve personally engaged with Jacob and Esther. They helped me fulfil or see the current fulfilment of what they were going through. Jacob’s experience with an open heaven and the ladder to heaven—Beth-El, the house of God—is an expression of our lives today. We are now under an open heaven, we are the house of God, and God dwells in us. Jacob helped me see this, and I, in turn, helped him see its fulfilment in us. It was a joyful moment for him to see that what he spoke of in Genesis is being fulfilled in us.

Esther, too, engaged with me. I went to the cloud of witnesses and connected with her. Her message was that we are called to the kingdom for a time such as this, which caught my attention. But what really stood out was the process she had to go through to reach the point where she was willing to accept her calling. As a young Jewish girl, she didn’t want to be a concubine to a pagan king, but she had to accept that this was her calling and that God was going to use her to save her nation. She had to go through a process of purification and refining, not just physically but spiritually, to come to terms with God giving her this mission. She helped me see that each of us must go through changes of heart to accept who we are and who God has made us to be.

5. Speaking with Divine Authority

When we’re brooding, we take on the frequency of the Father’s heart. If our hearts need to change, that’s part of the process. We have to align with His heart and accept that this is our destiny. Sometimes there’s timing involved, and there are stages to the outworking of that timing.

When Jesus said He only did what He saw the Father doing, it was because He was in the Father’s heart, and the Father was in His. They were in total sync. Jesus engaged as a man for the revelation of how to outwork it on Earth. He didn’t just follow a list of instructions from the Father; He creatively chose to outwork the Father’s heart differently every day. There’s no formula—Jesus deliberately showed us that we need to be in tune with the Father’s desires but express them through ourselves.

When I engage with the Chamber of Destiny, that’s where I determine how to do this. I have the authority and know the Father’s heart, but the question is, how am I going to do this in line with who I am? It’s tempting to do it the way someone else has done it, but I always want to give myself the space to outwork it through who I am.

It’s not just about waving a magic wand and making things happen. That’s why I engage with living light, which connects to creation for its manifestation. I want to personally connect to creation through light and allow it to manifest a reality shift. This isn’t about forcing something to happen; it’s a relational connection. I’m not giving orders; I share the Father’s heart, and creation aligns creatively with that. It’s a living process, not just a technical one.

Reflecting on my journey with God, I see how He has led me into an extraordinary union and intimacy that I never imagined possible. Initially, I struggled to grasp His love for me beyond the theological, but He gradually revealed my true identity as His Son. In 2008 and 2010, my encounters with God began to go beyond Bible reading: I started meditating on specific verses but soon realised the connection to Heaven was always open.

Experiencing the rivers of Eden flowing through my heart deepened my intimacy with Him. Embracing my experiences without overanalysing them, I used journaling to revisit and deepen them. Opening my heart daily to God became a way of life, guiding me into constant communion.

During a group encounter, I encouraged people to picture a door and invite Jesus in. One participant’s experience in going back through that doorway inspired me to do the same. This shift allowed for a continuous flow between heaven and my heart, guided by Jesus, the Father, or the Spirit.

I engaged with the garden of my heart, resting and planting seeds of testimony by the River of Life; seeds which grew into trees, bearing fruit. My journey included discovering gemstones, scrolls, and a waterfall. Behind the waterfall, I encountered a cave where Enoch gave me transformative quests. These experiences brought me to the Tree of Life and the Throne of Grace. A profound moment under the waterfall showed me God’s love for everyone, even those who have caused harm, removing judgment and deepening my compassion.

On the Throne of Grace, I received a scroll of destiny from the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. In an intense encounter, the consuming fire of God purified it, leaving only love. Plunging down a waterfall into the Father’s Garden, I felt a deep connection with creation and discovered the origin odf my design. This opened new realms of understanding and intimacy with the Father.

These encounters were all about drawing closer to God in intimacy. The more I have walked this path, the more I have understood the Father’s heart is focused on restoring both our sonship and all creation. In future sessions, I’ll share more about these revelations, and we can explore them together.

Activation: Deeper Into Love

I’d like to guide you through an activation, to engage wherever God leads you. The key to these experiences is to trust in God’s unconditional love, letting go of control and allowing Him to direct your journey. As you engage in this exercise, be open to the Father’s leading, and embrace the love He shows you.

To start, find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and begin to relax. Focus on connecting with God as your Father or Jesus as your friend and brother. Slow your breathing: inhale deeply through your nose, hold it for a moment, and then exhale slowly.

As you breathe in, draw in the unconditional love of the Father, filling every part of you with His love. Picture yourself cocooned in this love, safe and secure. Allow yourself to sink into the ocean of unconditional love, going deeper and deeper. Stay there for a few minutes.

If you wish to continue, picture a door in your spirit with a handle on your side. Open it and invite the Father, Son and Spirit to embrace you. Feel their love, acceptance and affirmation. Hear them say, “You are my beloved child, in whom I am well pleased.” Stay in this place of love and peace for as long as you like.

If you want to go yet further, envision following the flow of the river into Eden. Step into the river and let it carry you through the heavenly realms. Enjoy the river’s life-giving flow. Look into the water for gems or scrolls, pick up and eat those that attract you, and receive the life and truth they offer.

Stay there, or choose to follow the river upstream to a waterfall. Walk or float under it, feeling God’s love cascading over you. Let the sound of the waters resonate with your heart. Feel God’s love for you and for others. Allow this love to inspire you to forgive and love others as He loves you. Release any unforgiveness or hurt by choosing to forgive and let go.

345. The Rapture of the Saints

“The Rapture’s Coming!”

Every time there’s any sort of sign in the heavens, people say, “Oh yeah, the rapture’s coming, blah blah blah blah blah.” I mean, half the Amazon rainforest has been cut down to produce books about the rapture, and none of them came true. I’ve got a whole shelf filled with those books that people have either sent me or I used to have, that I keep just as a reminder that it’s never going to happen.

It won’t. It’s all based in a wrong understanding of God’s purpose, based in a theology which was a rejection of the Holy Spirit back in the 1820s. The Brethren – dispensation, millennialism, rapture theology all came from the same source. Zionism also. It’s all the fruit of a poisonous tree, sadly, but people buy into it hook, line and sinker. Any time there’s any sort of thing that happens in the world, you get all the crazies coming out, sadly. They’re well-meaning, a lot of them. It’s deceiving. It’s just a huge deception.

Whenever you reject the Holy Spirit, you’re opening yourself up for demonic deception. The whole Brethren movement, which was inspired by God for the priesthood of all believers, saw many believers come out of the institutions to look for a simpler way of engaging house to house. The Holy Spirit fell on them with prophecy, tongues, and gifts in the 1820s.

Ultimately, they rejected that, some of them. Deception came upon them, and then they needed a theology that explained why the Holy Spirit wasn’t for today, which they came up with: dispensationalism and cessationism as part of that. Then, along with that, came the rapture, the whole deception of it. Scofield was paid by a Jewish source to promote that because it plays into the hands of those who are looking for a one-world governmental system on earth. All it does is rob us of our authority to bring the Kingdom now and promotes fear.

Cult-like Deception

There was a lady in the States who killed two of her children because she didn’t want them to go through the [tribulation]. That was last year [2021] because it was supposed to be February the 24th that the rapture was going to happen. She actually killed two children because she did not want them to go through the tribulation. That’s how deceptive it was, but it becomes very cult-like because it’s a very controlling thing. We need to see it exposed; more and more people need to be set free from that deception. People will throw out the rapture, but they’ll keep the millennium because they’ve not yet realised it came from the same source. Or they’ll keep Zionism, not realising it came from the same source. That’s part of the problem: people are not discerning, and they don’t find out. They just believe what they’re told, and if you hear it enough, you think it must be true. That’s true. People do believe it because they’ve been told, and they kept being told.

I was brought up with it. I was in the Brethren Church. I know the roots of it. I researched it. I found all the books of the early Brethren fathers and what they shared, and how good it was in the beginning. But you could see when it went off, and you could see when deception came in because the writings changed. The tone of them changed. They became judgmental. The love went out of them. You can see it in just what was written, how it was written. Everything changed from the inspiration that they had.

If they had continued, you would have had Azusa Street-type revival 80 years before it happened. But they rejected it, and it took 80 years for that to come round again. The most ironic thing, and this is a huge irony, the Brethren movement does not allow women to speak, and they don’t believe in prophecy. But when the Holy Spirit was moving on that group, a woman called Mary Margaret McDonald prophesied a vision, and they based the rapture teaching on that prophecy. But they don’t believe women can speak, and they don’t believe prophecy, but they based the teaching on it and mixed it with a Jesuit priest’s teaching, and came up with that whole system of belief which hijacked the seminaries around the world for the best part of a hundred years.

Impact on Mainstream Christianity

It is still taught in most seminaries around the world, unless you come from a Reformed background. Most of the other charismatic seminaries teach it because they were totally hoodwinked by it. The Scofield Bible, which was commissioned and paid for with an agenda that wasn’t from a Christian, promoted that. The Scofield was a King James Version that contained all the notes related to the rapture, the seven dispensations and cessationism, all in the notes. That infiltrated the seminaries around the world, and then most of the missionaries’ teaching, and the evangelical movement were actually taught from those seminaries.

That’s why it’s so infiltrated mainstream because it got in through the seminaries, and then that went out through and infiltrated most of the evangelical movement. It wasn’t really until the charismatic movement started to bring people back to a restored relationship where they could hear God for themselves, that people started to question some of those things.

When I got baptised in the Spirit in 1986, the first thing God said to me was, “You need to understand kingdom and covenant.” Well, I thought I knew what kingdom and covenant meant because I’d been brought up in the Brethren movement. That’s all they talked about: the kingdom coming a thousand years after all this stuff. It took me three years of going back with God through the Bible, because He just did it. I didn’t read another book: I just went through the Bible. He showed me the whole error of all of it, and I found a whole different view of what is going to happen, which has led me and helped me to come and embrace restoration and everything else. But that was a long time ago.

I already had a lot of deconstruction from futurist eschatology 40 years ago. Now, it’s so easy to see how all this works together with what God is doing to restore. I didn’t have all of that negative stuff. I had a lot of demons cast out of me. I had a lot of religious spirits specifically from that movement. It was a deceptive movement: it was birthed in God – and rejected God for an error. When you do that, you open yourself up to deception. It has had probably the biggest deceptive influence on mainstream Christianity in the last 200 years. A huge deception.

330. Find Truth Within: Trust Your Own Connection with God

Stop Listening to Others’ Opinions

You need to stop listening to other people – that would be where I would start! People have different views based on where they are in their journey, so some of the things they are saying are from their own perspective. They may say “the Father said this,” when actually He didn’t. Not every time someone says “the Father showed me this” is it the truth. Jesus is The Truth, not everything people say.

I would not look for people to affirm what you are hearing from the Father yourself. That is what you need to focus on. Maybe you had a wonderful experience, and then it feels like you let that be robbed from you because other people were telling you different things about certain important matters. But there is nothing more important than having time with God and enjoying His presence.

Measuring Truth by God’s Love

How do I measure whether something has the frequency of God on it or not? I use love. Is this loving? Is this a reflection of a loving God? If not, I am not going to believe it. There’s an American prophet who recently said horrible things towards the US President. He is not a prophet that spoke from God (that time). Has he spoken from God before? I’m sure he probably has, but that was not from God – it was coming from his own political agenda on the inside. That doesn’t faze me – because I don’t accept it as God since it’s not love. You can’t be cursing someone and it be from God. Sometimes you have to use love as the measure and say “okay, is this aligned with love?” If not, just reject it. But I would stop looking to a lot of different people to talk to you about different things.

Focus on Your Own Relationship with God

Personally, I don’t listen to anybody. I’m not saying that arrogantly – I spend time listening to God. Yes, I hang out with some people sometimes and talk, but I don’t listen to other people’s sermons, messages, or read their books generally. I have too much invested in my time with God and enjoying life to spend all that time looking at what God said to somebody else. Now if God asked me to listen to something, I would. I did listen to something recently from Brad Jersak on understanding why God seems so different in the Old Testament versus the New, and it was very helpful – it affirmed what I already knew. But generally, I am not looking for other people to give me that. You can become double-minded because you’re trying to understand what others are thinking and come into agreement with it, but you have to accept that some people are not talking from God, although they say they are.

The less you hear from people, the less you have that problem. It is not a problem to question what someone is saying and measure it against love. I am not going to publicly criticise those people, but inside I’m not going to accept what they’re saying because I’m questioning it and measuring against love. I would absolutely doubt what those people are saying. That’s not a problem… but doubting what God is saying to you because others are saying something contradictory or trying to sway you – or tell you what god ‘must’ be saying – now that is a problem. Don’t be swayed by the fear of man. Don’t think you need someone to affirm what God is telling you, because maybe He’s not saying it to anybody else. You need the courage of your convictions to say “I’m going to trust You, that when I come to You, what You’re saying to me is true.”

Think on the pure, lovely and good

So don’t allow things to make you crazy by letting other people affect you, whereas I won’t allow other people to affect me. Maybe the cloud of witnesses speaking to someone has a different message for that person at that point on their journey than for somebody else. Or maybe that person is just interpreting what they thought they heard through their own filters, coming to their own conclusion – it may not be what was intended at all. I don’t believe it is for us to judge somebody else, so don’t let it make you crazy. Just say “Okay, I don’t know, it doesn’t sound loving to me so I’m not going to listen to it.” Leave it there – you don’t have to go through it, it’s not your responsibility.

If it’s making you crazy, it is because you are allowing it to. Don’t focus on it. As Paul said, think on things that are pure, lovely and good. Where there is conflict, confrontation and differences of opinion – those are not good things to think about. Just let it go. Focus on the good. Focus on being that bride, that person who Jesus just wanted to make feel special, because you are special and He wants you to feel that way. Other people may not want you to feel so special – some will always be negative. Don’t doubt your own experiences and thoughts with God just because someone else contradicts it. Don’t allow them to make you sad, or struggle thinking “this isn’t right.” You had that experience, you know it was right, you know how good it was. Don’t be robbed!

Conclusion

So I feel that for a time or season, it might be good to have a period where you shut off listening to other people, including me! You don’t need to listen to anybody – give all that time to just listening to the Lord, just listening to the Father, engaging Him. Set aside a day, week, month – whatever time you want – and just focus on that, excluding all the other voices from your head. Listen to the one voice – the Voice of Love, the Voice of Truth. Then I think a lot of these things will fall into place, and you’ll realise “Hey, I don’t need this. I don’t need other people’s opinions in my life. I’m just looking at God’s opinion – that’s all that counts.”

In the last post, I talked about evangelising Christians. Now I turn to those who do not consider themselves Christians at all.

Challenging Preconceptions for Non-Christians

When it comes to talking to people who are not yet Christians or not yet believing, or have not yet realised what Jesus has done for them, I would start at a different place. I would probably begin by challenging what they think they know about Jesus and God, because it is probably not the truth. I would likely challenge some of the preconceptions they think they know from whatever religious upbringing they have had. I would say, “You may have thought you needed to do this or this or this, but actually God has done it all – you just have to receive it.” I would use illustrations like: “When someone buys a gift for you, they wrap it nicely, present it well, put your name on it, and then hand it to you. You didn’t buy it, you didn’t deserve it – it was a gift they gave you. But it wasn’t yours until you received it, even though your name was on it. Only when you reached out, took it, opened it, and received it as a gift could you say ‘this is now mine.’ Until then, you haven’t received anything, even though the gift is there.”

The Gift of God’s Grace

That is essentially what God has done. Jesus has reconciled everybody. He has taken away ‘the sin’ – the lost identity, their amnesia from who they really are. He has revealed the Father (as Jesus is the express image of the Father). He has shown people that it is all about love: He has called people to love one another, forgive one another. I would challenge them to see what Jesus said in light of our religious thinking – an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, vengeance, God being angry and needing appeasing. To say, “It’s already been done! God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. He’s already made a relationship, already given you the Spirit and made you alive so you can know Him. He’s already done all these amazing things – why don’t you just let Him give you that experience?”

Receiving the Gift

So give them the opportunity of having that experience as well. Probably having knocked down some religious ideas like “you have to go to church, pray, read the Bible” and so on. You can say, “Who said you have to do any of those things?”  and open up a whole different vista of who God really is. It’s like the book “The Jesus I Never Knew” by Philip Yancey – he was probably brought up in the Bible Belt but never knew Jesus for who He really was. I would try to present Jesus as someone they may have thought they knew, but there’s more – a truth that probably challenges what they thought they knew.

Then I would stress the need for experience – that it is a relationship, God with us. God is in them already, wanting to reveal Himself to them. Ask them to give Him a chance. Then you can use something like “Behold I stand at the door and knock,” and say, “God is in you, within your spirit. He wants you to let Him into the rest of your life – to bless you, heal you, make you whole, remove all guilt, shame, condemnation, give you your true identity as His son, empower you to succeed and prosper.” Then get them to close their eyes, picture a door, open it, and see what happens.

Conclusion

So ultimately it all comes down to the same point – encouraging both Christians and non-Christians to experience things. But in both groups you may need to remove some preconceived ideas about what they think it is all  about and what they think might be the truth. Then help them find The Truth as a person – Jesus – through that experiential encounter with the reality of who God is and what He has already done.

328. Experiencing God’s Love: A New Approach to Evangelising Christians

If you are starting with people who are already professing to be Christians, you will begin in a different place than if you are engaging those who don’t.
I will get on to evangelising non-Christians in my next post. Ultimately though, both need to know the love of God and experience that love themselves, through a revelation of who He is, to fully come into the knowledge of who they are. 

Beyond Religious Conditioning

I would always start in an experiential way. If they are Christians, I will quote scriptures that point to the fact that Jesus and the Father very clearly desire an intimacy that is not religious and not based on works, performance or the old covenant. I would definitely look at the New Covenant wineskin for believers who may be conditioned or programmed by various religious beliefs. What did Jesus say we should expect? We should expect to be where He was, in the “I AM” relationship with the Father. He came and breathed on them to receive the Holy Spirit on the day of resurrection, affirming them as the new representatives of humanity: just as Adam was the first representative through whom all died, now they were the new representatives where all are made alive.

Experiential Encounters

I would emphasise that Jesus wanted them to experience His presence. Even when He told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem, it was so they would be clothed with power from on high – an experiential encounter affirming what they had already experienced in being indwelt by the Holy Spirit and received new life when He breathed on them, just as the Father breathed life into Adam. This challenges the idea of a certain number of people being “born again” at some future point, when the reality is that all were born again at that resurrection moment, affirmed when He breathed on them. As He said in John 14, “On that [resurrection] day you will know I am in you and you are in me, and we are in the Father.”

Challenge the conventional

I think always stressing the experiential side is key – that we have been called to hear His voice, come boldly to the throne of grace, and enter the realms of heaven experientially because they are open. Expressing this in a practical way removes the spiritualisation of the concept and sets the expectation for what our relationship with God should be. We can challenge the conventional vaguely hopeful expectations of ‘going to heaven when we die’ with affirmations of what Jesus said we should expect in this life – being in union with each other, our love relationship allowing the world to see what it means to be in relationship with God.

Summary

In conclusion, I would definitely give people an opportunity to have their own experience of God. Make it simple, easy and accessible – don’t complicate it. Give them the opportunity of encountering God through experience, and from that point, you can open the door for them to understand so much more.

309. Experience love – and be free!

Mike Parsons reads from his latest book, ‘Into the Dark Cloud’.

Engaging in love, joy and peace within the eternal heart of God has transformed my entire life. God has challenged my understanding of who He is, my mindset and my beliefs about Him. He has shown me love, love, and more love in ways I could never have imagined.

At this point, all I desire is a deep relationship with Him.
The way I look at and engage with the world has changed as a result of that.

I am beginning to experience what it means to live loved. It changes everything. Life takes on a whole new perspective: I do not feel obliged or bound by anything, I am free to be myself within the context of a loving relationship with my Father.

God is love, and He wants me to experience that love and be free within it.
Because of that, I can live a life filled with love and demonstrate that love to others. After all, “God so loved the world that He gave…” and Jesus told us to love one another just as He loved us.

In order to do that, we must be able to receive love ourselves. How can we love, if we have not received His love? It would be superficial, limited to a mere physical or emotional affection. But God desires to take us deeper into a love that surpasses that between friends, romantic partners or spouses,
into agape love, unconditional love. To love in such a way, we must first receive it ourselves. That is why God wants us to receive and experience His love.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).

This Word, Jesus, came to reveal love to us. In His earthly life He fully expressed the image of the Father. He even said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.”

So, what do we think God is like?
Do we see Him as being like Jesus?
Or as a distant figure from the Old Testament?

It can be confusing to have a divided perception of God, as if He were somehow two-faced, so that we could never be sure which face we would encounter. My view of God used to be more aligned with an old covenant perspective; but Jesus was awesome, so I focused mostly on Him.

But there is no difference between the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in their nature of love. They are all expressions of love, and they want us to experience that love.

308. Energy Systems Within Our Being

I wouldn’t want to deny the ‘righteous real’ of the energy gates within our being.

We have a blood system, a nervous system, a lymphatic system—systems that the body was created with, or has now, even if not in the original creation. I have no problem with there being an energy system, energy Gates within the core of our being—rivers of living water flowing from our innermost being. I’ve learned to activate those energy gates, and the abilities that God created us to have as sons of God, made in His image and likeness. So I have no issue with any of that. But it’s when it gets mixed with Eastern mythology and religion that the problem arises.

Of course, they believe in a kundalini spirit, a serpent-like energy that rests within the coils of the human spine and all of this stuff. They believe that through spiritual techniques, this energy stretches out and awakens to an awareness, leading to out-of-body experiences, physical sensations, hallucinations, and more. Some associate demonic oppression with the Kundalini, referring to it as a demonic entity linked to spiritual experiences. They criticise the charismatic movement for manifestations like holy laughter, drunkenness in the spirit, and being slain in the spirit, attributing these to the Kundalini Spirit. Others connect the Kundalini spirit with yoga, Eastern mysticism, Buddhist meditation, acupuncture, and similar practices.

While some of these things are neutral, I personally wouldn’t engage in practices like yoga or Eastern mysticism because I can engage with God without resorting to those methods. There’s a mixture of different views out there, some from Christians arguing against other Christians, warning about ‘new age’ practices. Just because these practices are associated with energy, chakras, or similar concepts doesn’t negate the possibility of a true reality, which is what I believe I’ve discovered.

God took me on a journey to understand that I am spirit, soul, and body—a unified being, whole. In my spirit, connected to heaven, flows the River of Life. At the core of my being, there’s an energy centre often described as the Merkabah, linking spirit, soul, body — and heaven. It’s a portal for travel and communication within me. I can be one with Heaven and Earth, and one with spirit, soul and body. Spirit, soul, and body are connected at the core of my being; the River of Life flows, energised through the Merkabah, focused into different energy gates.

I’ve activated these energy gates as needed—for creativity, discernment, and so on—learning to function in an energised state, doing what I see the Father doing. I don’t need more energy than necessary; I never run out because I have all I need for my designed purpose. I’ve lived through periods without needing food or sleep, drawing from a different energy source, but I also appreciate normal natural activities like eating and sleeping.

I live with a conscious awareness that I am energised and equipped for my calling. It’s become part of my unconscious, like breathing. However, the association of these concepts with Hinduism and other religions, and their terminology, can be a distraction. I don’t have a serpent or python spirit; I only have the Holy Spirit and my spirit working together. I’ve had out-of-body experiences, physical sensations, and visions, but not through Eastern practices. Some experiences, like laughter and drunkenness in the spirit, may be criticised and labelled as a Kundalini spirit, but I see them as positive, even if they never came close to what I now experience in encountering God face to face. They are no longer necessary as we grow in maturity.

God does such things to get our attention and draw us back to intimacy. Bob Jones prophesied about ‘Joel’s bartender’, emphasising the pouring out of the spirit to bring attention to intimacy.

We can live in a state of peace and rest, not needing external manifestations.

So, while I wouldn’t be afraid of it, I also wouldn’t choose to engage in Eastern mysticism, because I don’t need to. Instead, I believe in focusing on our relationship with the Father, Son and Spirit in intimacy.

306. Reflecting on My Journey with God

Reflecting on my personal journey, I found immense joy in being led by God rather than following a rigid set of practices. It wasn’t about ticking off tasks but allowing my senses to be trained, within the relationship I shared with God. If I were to offer advice, I would suggest a less systematic and more relational approach, emphasising the importance of being led, enjoying the journey, and avoiding unnecessary stress.

Our journey with God isn’t a duty; it’s a dynamic relationship. Whilst the Engaging God programme can be a useful guide, it’s showcasing possibilities rather than dictating a routine. I wouldn’t change my journey, as it uniquely unfolded based on my relational connection with God. However, I’ve added basic meditation and rest at the beginning of each day to enhance the experience of simply being, not doing.

It’s about enjoying the journey, and I encourage others to be led by what resonates with them rather than adhering strictly to a predetermined order. Following God’s guidance is paramount, since every individual is at a different stage in their journey. I stress the importance of being led to what personally resonates, acknowledging that everyone’s path is unique. One size definitely does not fit all, and that’s perfectly fine.
