11. Authority, Power and Glory

bright small sizeWe have to get ready and be prepared because the spiritual warfare which has been hidden is going to become more open and obvious. The meaning of the word ‘occult’ is just ‘hidden’ – spiritual warfare has been largely hidden in the western world – but as we have said before, soon the enemy’s schemes that are hidden are going to be exposed, and it is our light that is going to expose them.

Manifestations

If you go to Africa, or Brazil, or many places in the developing world where spiritual things are really open, you will see manifestations you would not see if we cast out a demon here. We may get a bit of screaming or wriggling, we do not get transformation into werewolves or snakes or other things; I am talking about actual physical transformation.

I ministered up in the Amazon jungle in Brazil, and we started praying for a girl who began to spin like a top, faster than was naturally possible. We couldn’t see her, she was spinning so fast. We were all amazed, thinking ‘What is this?’ But anyway, we told it to get out and it left (you really do not need to be frightened of this kind of thing because we have the authority in Jesus, and we have the power over demonic powers to cast them out in Jesus’ name).

I know many people who have ministered in Africa, who have seen stranger things than this. When Todd Bentley ministered there they had a big pit they called the ‘Snake Pit’ at the front, lined with people who ministered, and anyone who began to manifest in the meetings was put in that pit. I am not going to tell you what went on in there, it would blow most people’s minds. The open power of the demonic is common in those countries: witch doctors operate in those kinds of abilities, and they really can do things which western people cannot even conceive of.

Light is going to shine

Today it is hidden here, but it is going to become more open, because the light is going to shine brighter and brighter. The world may get darker and darker, but the light is going to shine. God is going to expose the darkness that is going on in this nation. Those things that are currently hidden will not be able to hide any longer when the light starts to really shine. And it is going to start to shine.

We will be casting demons out of people on the street and in the supermarket and in other public places because the power of God will expose the demonic. When you walk around in the power of God and the glory of God, and the Holy Spirit is so strong in you, you will bring conviction of sin, righteousness and judgment (John 16) and people cannot walk past you without either running or getting on their knees in repentance. That time is going to come: we must start resonating with the voice of God from heaven, start receiving that light, shining with that light, and operating in that light.

Adam was glorious in the Garden of Eden. I will go into this more next time: he didn’t look the way we do now, the glory of God clothed him on the outside. He shone. And God intends to restore that glory to us.

10. Nephilim: The Enemy Pollutes the Seed

We have been looking at what Jesus said, that ‘As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man’ (Matt 24:37). How was it, then, in the days of Noah?

‘The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually’ (Gen 6:4-5).

So, there were Nephilim on the earth before the flood, and even after the flood. And can you imagine how terrible that was, that all the thoughts and intents of their hearts were evil continually? Why? Because they had been polluted, genetically changed. This was the enemy’s strategy in those days, to pollute the seed, to make the people on the earth genetically impure.

Hybrid offspring

I promised last time to say more about this. The Nephilim were the hybrid offspring of fallen angels and human women. This is how that came about: two hundred watcher angels were sent to earth to fulfil Lucifer’s role (he had been supposed to guard man and bring man into perfection). Those angels, then, were sent to guide and direct. But man started worshipping them and they fell. In falling, they took women for themselves, of humankind, and produced hybrids. These hybrids did not have human spirits, which has consequences for us today, as we will see. Now you may think that is pretty wild stuff, and so it is. But it says in Jude, ‘And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh…’ (Jude 6-7). You can read more about this in the Book of Enoch.

That is what happened to those angels, they are in eternal bonds because they went after strange flesh. But in mating with human women they created ‘mighty men’ (Gen 6:4). [‘Mating’ could allude to overshadowing or genetic manipulation of man and animals, as happened with Adam and Eve when they traded with Satan: they gave their DNA (seed) in return for knowledge apart from God (Gen 3:4-6) to produce the seed of Satan (Gen 3:15)].

Some of those offspring of fallen angels and women were the giants. And if you look at the myths and mythology of the ancient world, you will find stories about Hercules and people like that, who were supposedly the offspring of gods and humans. Those stories have a basis in fact, they are not just myth, and some of those things actually took place. They brought violence to the earth, and they were looking to wipe out mankind so that the Seed of Woman – Jesus – could not be born, and therefore Satan would win. But we know that that scheme was unsuccessful because God came and wiped out the earth with the flood.

After their kind

If you take how many people there were at the flood, at a very conservative estimate, using a population equation widely used and accepted to estimate population growth, there were around 17 billion people. That is far more than there are today. Now, when God made the world he decreed that all living things should reproduce ‘after their kind’. There was to be no cross-breeding.  And this is not ‘after their kind’ – angels were never intended to interact with man in this way. But they did. That is what Jude means by ‘strange flesh’. So the spirits of all those people, because they were genetically impure, were not human spirits.

Consider this now: the first generation of Nephilim were the offspring of those fallen angels who mated with women. That first generation of  Nephilim again mated with women, and their descendants were more Nephilim; but each generation had less of the ‘angelic’ DNA, if I can put it that way, so there were more of them but their powers were less.  Although the flood wiped out the Nephilim, those Nephilim spirits are still around – as I said, they were not human spirits, they were ‘unclean spirits’. They are what we call the demons today. They are still roaming the earth, there is nowhere they could go, because they are not human spirits. So there are large numbers of demonic spirits roaming around, looking to affect, influence and challenge man. And there are fallen angels looking to control them (and through them to control you and me).

Now this is pretty wild stuff, as I said, and it’s not the kind of thing you hear very much about. But we have to be ready, because those Nephilim spirits are here and more are going to return. Where do we think the information about genetic manipulation has come from? Surely not from God, since He expressly commands things only to reproduce after their own kind (Gen 1:1, 12, 21, 24, 25). Draw your own conclusions.

The enemy has not stopped trying to wipe out the seed. ‘As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man,’ so spiritual warfare is going to become more open, as we confront the power of the enemy and expose him.

9. Broken Seals, Open Warfare

warfare no logo“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase” (Daniel 12:4).

Seal up the book

We are in a time when the seals are being broken and the books that were sealed up are being opened. There is revelation coming, revelation of the truth of God’s Word, revelation from the heavenly realms, and its purpose is to prepare us for these days.

‘But just as it is written, “things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love him.”’ That is 1 Cor 2:9 and it is not a very encouraging verse unless you read the one that comes after it, verse 10: ‘For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God’.

You see, verse 9 is a quotation from the Old Testament, and there were things in the Old Testament that could not be revealed. Before the Holy Spirit came, there were things that could not be revealed, not even to Jesus’ disciples. Nicodemus could not understand spiritual things that had no earthly counterpart. But today, by the Holy Spirit, God is revealing those things.

‘The Spirit searches all things’ – that is, everything about us, everything about God, even to the very depths of God, and he is revealing them to his people in these days to prepare us for what is to come. The prophetic books are being opened, and in opening those books there is new and fresh revelation being released, and we need to listen.

God’s Prophetic Timetable

Now when I talk about God’s prophetic timetable, I am not going to give you dates for things, I am going to give you a prophetic expectation about periods of time in which God is going to be working in particular ways.  I am not going to tell you everything that goes on in those periods because I don’t know it all, but I am going to tell you the things that God has shown me that are going to go on in those periods. We need to get ready and be prepared for these things that are coming.

We need to get ready and be prepared, because there is a challenge that God is going to bring. And if we are not ready and if we are not prepared, then we are in for a big shock. There are things you are going to have to do very soon in the kingdom of God that, if you had to do them now, would really, really challenge you.

Spiritual warfare

Spiritual warfare will become more open. In this country, spiritual warfare is hidden. Most of it is done behind closed doors by those ministering deliverance, or intercessors who are trying to engage the atmosphere of the earth. This is the kingdom in darkness where Satan rules as prince of the power of the air and his fallen angels rule over principalities, powers and territories.

Intercessors and others are engaging that kingdom in darkness mostly from this earthly realm, when, if they are engaging it at all, it should be from a position seated in authority in the heavenly realms of the kingdom of God or kingdom of Heaven. We need to go to the realms of the kingdom and directly obtain mandates or court orders if we are going to engage the kingdom in darkness, and we can then come down through the kingdom in darkness bringing the light of God’s glory to transform it, refine it and purify it. I will teach more about that as we go along.

But where spiritual warfare is concerned, I am telling you, things are going to ‘hot up’. The enemy’s schemes that are hidden are going to be exposed, and it is our light that is going to expose them.

The days of Noah

Jesus said that ‘As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man’ (Matt 24:37).  Now that is a challenging verse. He is saying that if we look at how it was in the days of Noah, that will give an indication of what is going to be going on in the day when Jesus returns. But the difference between what happened in the days of Noah and what is going to happen when Jesus returns is that one was defeat and the other is going to be victory.

Then the whole planet was wiped out, other than Noah and his immediate family; now the whole planet can be saved. I am not saying that everyone is going to be saved, but the potential of these days, when there are so many billions of people on earth, is that there are going to be more people in heaven than not. There is not going to be a defeat for God’s people. Jesus is going to come back for a church without spot or blemish, prepared and ready for his return. But we have to be ready to deal with whatever we have to face.

In the next post I will say more, but for now I’m just going to give you a glimpse of this. I shared when we talked about spiritual warfare that the seed of woman and the seed of Satan are in opposition, that they have always been in conflict. Satan has always tried to wipe out the seed. Cain killed Abel; later the enemy would try to wipe out Moses, he would tempt and try to kill Jesus. But in the days of Noah, his strategy was to pollute the seed, to make the people on the earth genetically impure.

8. The Sword Comes to Divide

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart (Heb 4:12).

This passage is not talking about the Bible, despite what we may have been taught. This sword of the Spirit, the word of God, is going to divide our soul and our spirit. It is going to divide what is of the flesh, what is of the soul, and what is of the spirit in our lives, and in the church, and the world. This is the living word spoken into our hearts by the Holy Spirit. He may use scriptures, especially if that is a way we are used to hearing from Him; He may not.

The sword is coming

The sword is coming to our lives, and we cannot avoid it. It is coming from the mouth of Jesus. It is going to divide the thoughts and intentions of our hearts. It is going to show us what our hearts are engaged with, and it isn’t going to be easy, but it is going to transform us and the world in which we live.

The sword is coming to the church. Not just this church, but the church, and it is coming to cause division: ‘Who are for me, and who are against me?’ It will cause division because there is so much of the church that isn’t really the church, it is just people who go along to church.

Church is not a building, we know that, but it’s not a meeting either. The church is a people called out and gathered to meet with the presence of the living God and to serve Him. In charismatic circles we jettisoned the idea that church was about buildings years ago, but then it became about meetings, about going to the meeting. Actually it is nothing to do with meetings, it is about Him, and is about who we are: we are His people and church is 24/7. It is about who we are every day of the week, in our jobs, in our homes, in our neighbourhoods.

A level of holiness

And God is bringing a sword to the church. We need to get ready so that we are prepared to see what God is going to release. We have got to see into that supernatural realm of what is to come. We need to be prepared to be transformed, because if our lives remain in the state they are in now, then when the glory of God starts coming we will not be able to bear it.

I tell you, Ananias and Sapphira couldn’t lie to the Holy Spirit without dropping down dead. I don’t want anyone dropping down dead around here, but the level of holiness required for the church of Jesus Christ to perform the works of Jesus in the world is far higher than the level of holiness we are living in right now. Levels of relationship and responsibility are going to increase, and at the new level God is calling us to, a new level of His presence, there is a corresponding new level of holiness required. What we could get away with before, we will not be able to get away with in what is coming.

And God is going to open up and reveal those things to us. We have to be prepared. We have to be prepared to act. We cannot sit here and do nothing.

We have to be prepared for warfare, because warfare is coming, and what we see today is nothing compared to what we are going to see. We have to be prepared to be ambassadors for the kingdom of heaven on earth. We cannot live by the ways and means of the world; we have to be in it but we cannot be of it. We have to live by the kingdom, and the presence and the power of the kingdom of God. We are ambassadors to bring heaven on earth.

Bring heaven to earth

That is our commission, to bring heaven to earth. As it is in heaven, so it is on earth, through our lives. That’s what God is calling us to. We have to be prepared to be revealed as sons of God, who are going to shine with glory. Because Jesus was transfigured here on earth, that means we can be transfigured here on earth. People are not going to know what to make of it when the glory of God starts shining out of us visibly. But Jesus did it as a demonstration of what we are to do. What did He say? ‘These works that I do, you will do also, and greater things than these’ (John 14:12). Greater things: there’s a whole load more that we will have to grow into. We have to be prepared to take dominion.

God called Adam and Eve to take dominion over the planet. Satan took that from them, Jesus came to restore it. We have to be prepared to operate in the ways of God’s kingdom.

‘Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven’.

7. Waterfalls, the Sound of God

Light

God is light. He is creative light. He created everything. There is also created light, which is the sun and the moon and the stars and all the other things which he created to bring light. In the Genesis story there was light before He created the sun. He is light. In Revelation 22 it says that when He comes to dwell with man there will be no need for the sun, because He Himself will be their light. He is light.

Arise, shine

In John 12:36 Jesus says, “While you have the Light, believe in the Light, so that you may become sons of Light”. We are called to be children of light. Now I am not going to go into all about what light is and how it works, but it is really important to understand this much: there is a new level of light that is coming upon God’s people. His glory is going to shine. ‘Arise, shine, your light has come. The glory of the Lord has risen upon you’ (Isaiah 60:1). That light is the light of revelation, it’s the light of power, and spiritual dynamics beyond what most people could even imagine.

Creative light

Some of the things God showed me in heaven, about what is going to take place, could freak you right out – you would have no grid for understanding them. I’m not going to tell you them all today, but there are things that are going to happen on earth, that we are going to have to encounter and battle with, that you cannot conceive of right now, they are off your grid. But you are going to have to get to a point where they are on your grid, because you have to be ready and you have to be prepared.

God is restoring those upper bandwidths of light to His children. Dimensions of God’s power and revelation and authority are being restored to His children. If we are children of the light, we can operate in creative light, not just created light, because we are children of God and children of His light.

The sound of God

Sound, frequency, is being released from heaven today. There is a frequency being released from heaven, the sound of God. And some of us are hearing it. Some of our musicians are starting to pick it up. It is coming from heaven. ‘Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls’ (Psalm 42:7). I went up and down many waterfalls in heaven. I struggled to get up them at first because my head would not engage with how you could get up a waterfall that is flowing down. I had to have help: the Holy Spirit helped me, angels helped me, until I learnt how to go up and down. You can do it because heaven operates to a totally different set of laws to those we are used to. Water can pass through you in heaven, too, so it’s totally different.

There is something about the deep things of God, and the voice of God, which is calling out to the deep things in our spirit today. There is a sound coming out of heaven that He wants us to start resonating with. It is like the sound of waterfalls. If you use an oscilloscope to measure waves of sound near a waterfall, it will go off both ends at the same time. Because there is something deeper in that waterfall than our natural ears can hear, and there’s also something higher in that waterfall that is beyond what our natural ears can hear. But in our spirit we can be connected and hearing the voice of God.

Jesus brought a sword

Rev 1:15. ‘His voice was like the sound of many waters’. That’s what His voice sounds like. And in that sound there are many things He is saying, and we can hear it. Verse 16, ‘out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength’. Now I do have a two-edged sword. I have not sharpened it… yet! In a conference I went to in 2009, God wrestled with me and challenged me to take up a sword. And I didn’t want to pick up a sword, because I’m a really nice guy. I don’t want to be controversial! I don’t want to offend people, but God told me to pick up a sword. And I really struggled for two days to be obedient and in the end, he shook me so violently that I had to pick it up. And in picking up that sword, it was a challenge to me personally in my flesh. I knew that one aspect of my bringing a sword was to cause a dividing line. And Jesus brought a sword. Now, some of you might not like that.

Just before I pursue that, let me say, God is love. That is the total motive of everything He does: love. He is always smiling on us in love. Even when he disciplines us, He is always smiling on us. But he does discipline us.

So, ‘Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword’. (Matt 10:34). That sword is to set a dividing line. It divides things, such as who is for Him and who is against Him. You can’t sit on the fence (it’s really uncomfortable sitting on the edge of a sword). There is no ‘in between’ with God. It’s black and it’s white. And God is calling us to say who we are for, who we are listening to, who we are agreeing with.

The challenge is coming.

6. The Pressure of God’s Presence

We have seen that Jesus is present in our past today, so nothing in our past can hinder our future if we surrender it to God.

If we want a future in which we fulfil our destiny, we need to get the disclosure, the revelation, of the things that God is revealing. We need to be connected – even if it is a nanosecond before it happens – to the supernatural realm. God wants to reveal every day to us. He wants us to be like Jesus, who saw what the Father was doing. How did He see what the Father was doing? Because He was connected to, and lived in, two realms. We need that revelation.

But it is a process. Here are some pictures:

Application of pressure

First, a lump of coal. James 1:2 says ‘Consider it all joy.. when you encounter various trials’. Now, in our life we all have various trials. Let’s not simply dismiss trials as the devil. Sometimes it is true that it is the enemy wanting to mess things up, but actually we can still seek what God will do in it. Don’t try to avoid the pressure and heat of life, instead allow the pressure and heat to turn coal into a diamond. So often we try and avoid what God wants to do in us, and so He is not able to refine us and purify us because we get out of the heat and the pressure. We try to avoid the trials. We need to count it joy, because it transforms our lives, and God can bring good out of anything we face. Now that does not necessarily mean that He brings all those situations about, but that He can bring good out of them.

The third picture is a lump of gold ore. If you want a nice golden nugget out of that, you need to deal with the things that are in your heart, the stones, memories, pains, hurts, curses, unforgiveness. Strongholds. Here at Freedom we call it ‘stuff’, and we have all got ‘stuff’. So we have to allow the pressure of God’s presence to transform us.

heat and irritation

Here is a heart full of worries, anxiety, fears, cares, burdens. Read the parable of the sower and you will find that what stopped the Word of God producing fruit was just that, worry. What are we going to do? We are going to count those things we are going through as joy, and live in an attitude of praise; even if we have to get it into the compost heap (next picture), which is again application of pressure and heat.

It is about trust. ‘Overcoming trust’ is surrendering ourselves and our lives to God and trusting Him completely. Let’s stop trying to do it ourselves – all we do is mess it up – let’s allow Him to do it. Seek first His kingdom, and everything else gets added, everything. We don’t have to worry, have fears, cares, burdens, and so on. Seek first the Kingdom, put God first, then what happens? Next picture. New soil, new growth, new and good things that God is going to reveal to us and bring into our lives.

Last two pictures: some grit, and a pearl. Frustrations, annoyance, irritation, things that cause you to be impatient: grit. Some people are like grit! Some ‘stuff’ is like grit. You can let grit cause an infection or you can let grit produce perfection.

Again, if we have the attitude of patience and perseverance through all that goes on in our lives, if we enter into God’s rest, then we can turn grit into pearls. Jesus had the right attitude: He was gentle and humble in heart. Meekness is strength under control, and Jesus was surrendered to God’s control. He was strong and powerful, but He humbled himself, only doing what He saw the Father doing, only doing the will of the Father who sent Him. We need to take His yoke upon us, as Jesus says in Matthew 11:27-29: ‘Take my yoke upon you; learn of Me for I am gentle and humble in heart. Find rest for your souls’. Pearls of wisdom can come from grit and irritation if we allow the process to transform us. If we seek first the kingdom, we will certainly find ourselves in that ongoing process of transformation.

God wants us to come with joy and praise, even in the difficulties we encounter, because it transforms our lives.

5. Faster Than The Speed of Light

Einstein was working on something curious when he died, and many mathematicians went back to the last two blackboards that he was working on, to try to disprove what he had found (he had been trying to disprove it himself).

What he had found was that there appeared to be a particle faster than light; such a particle ought not to exist, but his equations seemed to indicate that it did. Eventually, a mathematician named Feinberg, having failed to disprove Einstein’s maths, proposed the concept of tachyons.

Tachyons are theoretical subatomic particles that run faster than the speed of light, and they are a theoretical particle that quantum physicists hate because if they go faster than the speed of light then they can’t measure them. If you tried to set a computer to measure them at 12 o’clock it would have to run backwards towards 11.59 because they would get there faster than the speed of light. But think about this: everything we receive from God comes to us faster than the speed of light. Our future, prophecy, words of knowledge, words of wisdom, it all comes to us before it actually happens. Two-thirds of the Bible is prophecy, God speaking before it happened.

Feinberg made this statement: ‘Einstein’s equations prove that at the speed of light an electron is present at all points across its trajectory’. In other words, if an electron moves from one place to another at the speed of light, it is present everywhere along that path, all of the time.

Now, we know that God is present, everywhere, all of the time. We call it the omnipresence of God. That means he is present all the time in our lives, past, present and future. As Jesus said, ‘before Abraham was born, I am’.

This is something really important for us to get hold of. Think of the arc in this diagram as the trajectory of your life, the path of your life, what has happened in it and what’s going to happen:

Quantum Vision

Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega. He was there before your life started, he called your life into being, he will be there all through your life and he will be there at the end of this physical life, though because we are eternal beings we will never end. So Jesus is here in the present, he’s here with us today, and he wants to engage with us on a daily basis every minute of every day. That means we can have a relationship with him which is intimate and real, and can have fellowship with him in which we are communicating and hearing his voice and seeing what he is doing all the time.

But we have a past. How many of us have things in our past that we don’t like? Most people do. How many of us are still dealing with some of those things? Again, quite a few. Therefore we need Jesus to be operating in our past. But because he is omnipresent, of course he can. He’s there: to him it’s still ‘now’. Those of us who are familiar with Liebusters have seen this at work when Jesus reintegrates our ‘stuck’ parts.

You can engage your past with Jesus so that he can heal you and restore you and set you free, release you from captivity, and bring everything into the present of where He is.

Now, can you really grasp that? Everything that has happened in your past, he is present in it, because in the spiritual realm it’s all ‘now’. Jesus can change things, because he is present in your past today. There is nothing he can’t heal or restore or make whole. It’s really important for us to know that there’s nothing he can’t do. He is present in our present. He is with us, we walk with him. He is also present in our future, and he wants to reveal our future. Jesus is before all things, past present and future, and we can be connected to all three, through him.

So nothing in our past can hinder our future if we surrender it to God.

4. The Power Source That Runs The Universe

‘For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible’.  (Col 1:16).

So that is (1) everything we see, and (2) everything we can’t see of this visible realm (because this visible realm is made up of mostly invisible stuff), and (3) the invisible realms that we can’t see, all of it was created by Jesus. That scripture continues, ‘He is before all things…’ Now, ‘before’ can be interpreted in two different ways, referring to space or to time. It can mean ‘in front of’ as well as ‘earlier than’. The reality is, Jesus is ‘before all things’:  before every thing and all time, past, present and future. He is connected to the future things: and because of that he is our connection to the future things. In Him, we are connected to the “before” spiritual realm. The spiritual realm operates faster than the speed of light as we know it here, and we will look some more at that next time. Because it does operate faster than the speed of light, it is beyond our time and operates outside of our timeframe. So everything is always ‘before’ for Jesus.

‘…And in Him all things hold together’(v17). The spiritual realm provides all the energy for this natural realm to exist: we only exist because Jesus holds all things together. If he didn’t, we would just not exist.  Another verse says he holds it all together by the word of his power (Heb 1:3).

Scientists have proven that, in the realm that they can’t see, there’s enough energy in one sugar cube volume of vacuum space to power the whole universe billions of times over. They call it ‘Zero Point Energy’. Google it and you will find all sorts of information, but it actually demonstrates how our world is being powered from the spiritual realm. That is the omnipotence of God. God is an all-powerful God, He is the power that is keeping this universe in place, and we can be connected to that power source.

The zero-point energy E=ħω/2 causes the ground-state of an harmonic oscillator to advance its phase (color).

The spiritual realm is the real realm. The natural realm will always give precedence to the spiritual realm because God is Spirit, we are spirit. Jesus has a spiritual body, and we will get a new spiritual body one day in the future.

But we are spiritual beings, and we can be connected to that spiritual realm here and now.

3. Choices: Constantly Connected?

Amos 3:7 tells us, ‘Surely the Lord GOD does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets’.

God is speaking today: the key question is, are we hearing his voice? Jesus said “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now” (John 16:12).

Parables

Until the Holy Spirit came, Jesus couldn’t reveal everything because he was speaking about spiritual things his hearers couldn’t understand. He used parables, but today God is using parables of a different nature because we have a different measure of understanding: ‘But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come’ (John 16:13).

All the truth: that’s a lot of truth. Ian Clayton said he picked up a blade of grass in heaven because he wanted to know all of God, but the amount of information that was in that blade of grass made him drop it because it would have fried his brain. Because God is infinite, there is so much truth.

But still, the promise is ‘all truth’ and that means that everything is available to you: within ‘all truth’ God wants to reveal all that you need for your life and destiny. God wants to disclose what is to come for us as individuals, for our life, for our destiny in God; he wants to reveal the things he has already prepared for us before the foundation of the world. As that scripture tells us, the Holy Spirit came to reveal to us those things that are to come.

Your future destiny

Now the choice is, are you listening to Him? Have you seen your future destiny? If you have seen it, you can have it, that’s how it works. In fact you have to see it in order to have it, and you cannot have it unless you have seen it. ‘Faith is the substance of things hoped for’, that is to say, the things you have seen in the spirit. In the realm of the spirit, God wants to show all of us the things that are our destiny. He wants to show us what was written on our scroll in heaven before we were even thought of in a worldly sense (although in God’s thoughts we are eternal, we have always been with God, because he breathed his essence into us).

Constantly connected

Jesus was constantly connected. He only did the things he saw the Father doing and he only said the things he heard the Father saying (John 5:19). He was constantly connected to the realm of heaven and he has given us the opportunity to be connected too.

So what realm are you connected to? Are you connected to the earthly realm most of the time, and occasionally a little bit of heaven? Or do you constantly live in two realms? Can you be connected to both every minute, every fraction of a second, of every day? Twenty thousand times every nanosecond, Planck’s constant blinks us in and out of that spiritual realm (and a nanosecond is one billionth of a second). That’s a bit hard to get hold of but the reality is we are constantly connected – or we can be.

So what are you seeing? Whose voice are you resonating with? Who are you listening to? Are you listening to the voice of God or are you listening to other things?

4 sources of ‘wisdom’

James tells us there are four sources of ‘wisdom’ you can be listening to: wisdom from above (heavenly wisdom), earthly wisdom, natural wisdom, and demonic wisdom (James 3:15). Which of those are you resonating with? Who or what are you coming into agreement with? Because when you start to agree with the frequency of heaven, when you start to resonate with the heart of God, then heaven comes to earth through your life. So are we resonating with heaven (where God’s throne is), the atmosphere of the earth (where the battle is waged between the devil and the angels), this physical realm, or ourselves? Those are the basic choices, and the choice is ours.

Ten little 2-letter words: IF IT IS TO BE, IT IS UP TO ME. God doesn’t force it, he has given us free will to choose Him. In all of heaven and earth there are only two power sources: God’s and ours. The devil has no power source other than what we give him. And if we choose to agree with the enemy we choose to empower him, rather than God. Every time we say ‘yes’ to God we empower God and enable Him to operate. That is why he speaks prophetically. It enables Him to operate, because when we speak out of the prophetic realm of heaven, it can manifest on earth. That is because God has chosen to partner with us. It’s an amazing thing: God, the creator of the whole universe, has chosen to partner with us – and we have been given free will to choose to partner with him or not.

So what are you going to choose? What realm are you going to listen to? I would encourage you to listen to the realm of heaven, because what you see and hear there will engage you for your future and will reveal that future to you.

But the choice is yours.

2. Fast: Connecting to the Realm of Heaven

In June 2010 I went to a prophetic conference in Torquay, down on the south coast of Devon. God really impacted me and challenged me about experiencing His love and intimacy. He drew me into a place of intimacy, in which He called me to go on a 40 day fast.

I also received a prophetic word from Mike Bryant, and on the envelope he had written ‘Read this every day for six weeks’ (which is pretty much 40 days too). So I went into that fast seeking God for prophetic direction.

Prophetic word

Now I want to share just what that word was, and what God did:

‘A change is coming, and you cannot stop it, so be strong in my Spirit and the things I have shown you. Prepare the future and know that the harvest you long for is near. I am raising up those near you to stand with you. Look for the rainbow within your heart. Ascend where I am, where you are seated, a door will open for you. Prepare the future, ask of me and I will show you’.

I prayed over that several times a day. Now I already know that a change is coming: God is a God of change, and change for the good. I know that God wants us to prepare for a future harvest. I know that God wants to raise people up to work together as a team in ministry. But ‘look for the rainbow in my heart’? Well I didn’t know, but God showed me.

God opened the door

The first 20 days of that fast were really hard work; not physically, but spiritually. Basically I was being put on a cross and crucified of all the stuff of the flesh. But then in the next 20 days God opened the door into the heavenly realms and I had 78 different prophetic visions and encounters with God. These were direct encounters face to face with God, and he was speaking, revealing things, showing me things I had never seen before. Definitely, a door opened.

Quantum physics?

And that prophetic word says, ‘Prepare for the future, ask of me and I will show you’, so that’s what I did. I said, ‘God I want you to prepare me and the church for the future, so I’m asking, and I want you to show me’. And he showed me all sorts of stuff, some of it pretty way-out, which I wasn’t really prepared for. You know, I was happy to feel the love of God and experience God and be purified and refined and all that sort of thing. But when God started talking about quantum physics and quantum mechanics and how he created the universe, it was a challenge: although I have a science background, I was a biochemist not a physicist. Physics was not my favourite subject, I can tell you.

But God started speaking about light and the nature of light, about how light is particles but it is also waves. He talked about the nature of sound, about frequency and resonance, about what was going on in the heavenly realm (that is the spiritual realm), and how we need to connect up with that realm. He showed me that everything in the whole realm of quantum physics was only showing what the Bible was already saying, and I have shared some of that in the Quantum Vision series of talks. In this blog we will go a bit further with that and then I want to share with you some of the prophetic revelation that God gave me for the future.

Now I don’t do that lightly and it has taken me 6 months or more to get to the point where I’m prepared to share some of it, but I am going to share some of it in this series.
