The person of God

Going in to meet the person of God—that is an experience beyond any other I’ve ever had. I could never have entered into that in the state I was in, but God began to change me, prepare me, in all those things in the soaking room, so I could get to that place where I was able to meet Him face to face. Now, I’d met God in many different ways, but there’s a difference between engaging the presence of God and engaging the person of God.

Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is a process that produces transformation. Not only do things get removed, but things also get changed, added, to enable us to go into deeper levels of intimacy. So we have the ability to live in multi-dimensional realms, in the fullness of our eternal nature and identity.

An example in nature of metamorphosis is the transformation of a tadpole into a frog. It hatches from spawn and begins life restricted to water, breathing through gills—but that’s not God’s intention for it, that’s just the beginning. The tadpole eventually loses its gills and tail, develops legs and a new respiratory system, so as a frog it can be free from restrictions and live in both water and on land. A butterfly goes through a similar process—starting as a caterpillar, restricted to crawling on the earth, but changing through the chrysalis into something that is free to fly.

These are symbolic of the change and transformation that’s needed. We also go through a similar transformation that removes, adds, and restores abilities.

Many times in the Bible, you’ll find characters placed in a place of restriction to prepare them for their destiny. Now, sometimes people really struggle with that. They find it really difficult—to be restricted. They think God is putting that restriction on them in a negative way. But it is a positive thing when God places us in a position that brings about the change and transformation needed in our lives.

Some examples of that—Jacob under Laban, where he was looking to receive his wife, and there were all these conditions put on him, and tricks and everything else, but it produced character in him. Moses in the wilderness—he was called, but lived in the wilderness until he was able to take his position, after he had matured. David in Adullam’s cave—called for the kingdom, but in this place with a group of misfits, and God used that. Jeremiah was in anguish of soul, but came out into a place of fulfilling his destiny.

And then Joseph and Esther—they were also prepared. Joseph was prepared in the pit—his brothers threw him into the pit. How difficult must that have been? Then in slavery, in stewardship, and in prison—the prison of obscurity—until the time was right when his dreams and destiny would be fulfilled. Joseph, in his father’s house, was never going to fulfil his destiny. It was Joseph who’d gone through the process of change and transformation, who grew, who matured, who would end up in leadership in Egypt—in a way beyond what we’d have thought possible. But God prepared him, took him through seeming injustice and different situations that so challenged him—and yet he remained humble through those situations.

Esther went through 12 months of preparation before she could come before the king. That was so difficult. I’ve engaged Esther in the spirit—I’ve engaged her in the cloud of witnesses. I asked her, “What was it like?” And she said, “I didn’t want to be prepared to go and see the king.” That was not something a young Jewish girl would ever have wanted—to be a concubine of a king, a foreign king. But God had a purpose for Esther that would bring about the salvation of her people.

So it’s really important we don’t just look at the external circumstances of our life and think, “This is terrible. How can I get out of this?” We need to understand that sometimes, places of restriction are the places of greatest transformation.

For our soul to be prepared, there needs to be an identification of the things in our lives that are hindrances—coping mechanisms, defence mechanisms, trauma—and all of that leads us to a place of surrender. We surrender our independence. We learn to trust the Father for our provision, protection and direction in life. We’re no longer going to do it by the DIY tree path.

Realign with our divine origin

Our spirits, souls and bodies realign with our divine origin—get realigned and brought into union and oneness with each other and with God. The identification of our false identity and any works- or performance-based orientation gives us the opportunity to find our true origin and redemptive gifts.

There’s preparation for glorious sonship in restored First Love, and creation is longing and waiting for the revealing of the sons of God—for the revealing of our true nature and how that can bring freedom to the whole of creation.

So the soaking room experiences began to engage my body, they began to engage my soul, to prepare my body to radiate glory and my soul to operate in light. This soaking begins to realign the frequencies of our being, to restore resonance with God, with our true identity—harmony and balance to our whole being.

We experience the sound and light frequencies of glory—God’s nature—for transfiguration from one degree of glory to another. We don’t stay the same. We increase in glory. So we increase in the full revelation of who we are, and begin to express that and live from that place.

Now literally, excitation of light waves of specific frequencies causes our DNA photons to be energised and transformed. That light is God Himself. We begin to be transfigured in light by God, who is light. We become sons of light, living in physical and emotional harmony, health and wholeness—and it all happens by the presence of God.

The symbols of the things in soaking are symbols of God’s presence—of God Himself. God as our Father is calling us to embrace the restrictions of transformation, to receive the freedom of our sonship. And it’s so important that we receive that freedom, so we can receive the full revelation of our eternal destiny—to live trans- and multi-dimensional existences, fully embracing all of the eternal characteristics of sonship that are our eternal identity, our true authentic self.

John 3:30 says, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Now I’ve heard that preached as if it’s something we need to beat ourselves up about—as if we need to put ourselves on the cross every day. It doesn’t mean that. He reveals in me what is like Him—I embrace that. He takes away from me what is not like Him—I embrace that. It’s not something I have to try and do, like “I’ve got to decrease,” as if I’m nobody and nothing and with this sort of false humility. No—this is allowing Him to increase. Therefore, if He increases, then everything that’s not like Him falls away.

So I learn to surrender, where I can present myself to Him—I can be changed, conformed to sonship through this whole process by allowing Him to soak me in His presence.

So, what is soaking? Soaking is to make or allow something to become thoroughly wet by immersing it in liquid—that’s the dictionary definition: to immerse, to steep, to submerge, to submerse, to dip, to sink, to dunk, to bathe, to wet, to rinse, to douse, to marinate, to steep, to pickle. I mean, some of it’s really important.

To baptise in water, to baptise in the Spirit, to baptise in fire—in which we are immersed in those things which bring about the changes. I’ll go into that in more detail in a future session when I look at the heat and how heat transforms us. But the soaking room is the place of preparation that has parallel heavenly encounters in the River of Life, which is a river of energy—of Spirit—and in the river of fire.

God is a consuming fire. His love is a consuming fire. We can be baptised in the River of Life and in the associated waterfalls that cascade down. We can be baptised in the river of fire, engage the altars of fire, engage the process. See, the River of Life is Spirit energy—living water. It’s not H₂O, but the very essence of life, encoded with the frequencies of God—God’s essence. And when we are baptised into it, when we submerge ourselves into it, it begins to change and transform us.

The sound of many waters—it says God’s voice is like the sound of many waters. The sound of many waters are the creational frequencies of God’s voice that will realign us to who God created us to be.

Baptised into Love (meditation excerpt)

I encourage you right now
just to close your eyes.
Get comfortable.
Begin to relax.
To focus your thinking on God.

Focus your thinking
on God’s love, grace, mercy for you.

Focus your breathing by slowing down.

Breathe in more slowly.
Breathe in more deeply.
And as you’re breathing in,
you’re breathing in
the unconditional love of the Father.

You’re breathing in love.
You’re breathing in joy, and peace.

And as you breathe it in, just receive.
Let it flow into your being.
Whether you feel it, or sense it,
just let it flow.

Continue to be still.

Breathe in
and breathe out slowly.
Breathe in slowly
and breathe out slowly.

Slow everything down and totally relax.
Just become mindful
that you’re cocooned
right now
in God’s presence.

As you are still,
He is cocooning you in love.
He’s loving on you.

Consciously invite love,
invite joy,
invite peace,
to come upon you,
to flow in you,
to flow through you—
to create an atmosphere of rest around you
that you are completely submerged in –
baptised into the higher frequency of love.

Vibrating in that energy.
Vibrating in peace and joy.

Overshadowed with the presence of the Holy Spirit,
energising you,
transforming you,
changing you.

Be open to that overshadowing.
For the presence of God
to rest upon you.

410. Mastering Energy Generation

Mike Parsons –

Fatigue and creative energy

Many people don’t know how to generate the energy needed to live day to day. They feel tired, weary and drained, lacking both creative energy and the vitality required for their daily lives. This happens because they don’t know how to focus the abundant life that exists at the core of their innermost being. They don’t know how to generate, activate and channel that energy effectively.

We have energy gates within our body that can facilitate this process, but most people are unaware of how to open and activate them. This isn’t something commonly taught—especially within Christian circles. In fact, many evangelicals would be horrified at the mere mention of “energy gates,” dismissing it as New Age or something strange they want nothing to do with.

Yet, in reality, they are missing out on a crucial part of how we were designed to function. Learning to generate and direct energy isn’t some mystical or foreign concept—it’s about understanding how to channel living water, or what some might call light energy, into our daily lives. There are many analogies for it, but we are talking about spiritual life—abundant spiritual life—flowing from within us.

Energy gates

Most people don’t even realise that they have gateways within their spirit, soul and body that are designed to allow this life force to flow freely. Instead of experiencing the full flood of abundant life, they live on a trickle—because they’ve never been taught how to open these gateways. In fact, many Christians have been taught the exact opposite, which is why so many struggle to understand the flow of life and energy within them.

They’ve never been taught that they are a tri-part being—spirit, soul and body—and that all three must function in union. They don’t know how to activate and open these inner doors so that they can live in a continuous state of being in communion with life itself.

Jesus is in us, the Spirit is in us, and the Father dwells within us. But are we truly embracing that? Or are we searching for an external source—for someone else to give us what we feel we lack?

A critique of traditional teachings

Many people seek healing by looking for an external impartation—someone to lay hands on them and transfer an anointed charge of energy that will heal them. But what happens afterwards? Many people who receive healing end up sick again or even dying later because they don’t know how to sustain the healing they received. They never learned how to generate and maintain that healing within themselves. They relied on someone else to provide it, so they never developed the ability to keep it. The majority of people who minister healing don’t teach others how to maintain health and well-being—they simply move on after laying hands and praying.

There are genuine people who operate in these gifts, and they see real miracles and healings. But how many of those healed return a year later to testify that they are still well? If the root causes of their sickness remain unaddressed, the healing is often temporary. Unless they deal with the underlying factors—whether physical, emotional or spiritual—the illness can return.

Unlocking abundant life energy

What we really need is to teach people how to live in abundant life, how to embrace well-being as a way of life, rather than just seeking instant healing. Abundance isn’t just about financial wealth—it’s about emotional, spiritual and physical wealth. It’s about living in a state of fullness.

Jesus promised us abundant life, but the enemy seeks to rob, kill and destroy. If he can keep people from knowing the truth, if he can convince them to believe lies, then they will never live in the abundance that is already theirs. They have been robbed without even realising it.

It all comes down to our relationship with God as the source of life. What source are we drinking from? Are we drawing from the eternal fountain of life within us, or are we relying on external sources? Are we looking to church, ministries, or Christian teachings instead of directly connecting with Jesus?

Jesus said, “If you drink the water I give you, rivers of living water will flow from within you.” He was speaking about the Spirit—the very life of God within us. That is the source we need to draw from. It’s not about following techniques for healing or looking for external solutions—it’s about living in the overflow of life itself.

And that is only possible through relationship. It’s not a formula. It’s not a ritual. It’s a relationship—a deep, ongoing connection—with the source of life.

315. Align with the Frequency of the River of Life

Mike Parsons

This is an excerpt from my book Into the Dark Cloud, where I describe how we engage with the frequency of the water in the river of life, immerse ourselves in it, and experience profound effects.

All matter possesses frequency, which can also be described as an electric current or vibrational energy. Frequency is the rate at which something vibrates: light and sound waves are familiar examples. Everything, including our bodies, thoughts, and emotions, has its own frequency, and the frequencies we come into contact with affect us.

Matching frequencies have very powerful effects. An opera singer’s voice that matches the frequency of a glass can cause it to vibrate internally until it breaks apart. Even our thoughts and feelings have vibratory qualities with measurable frequencies. Negative mental states can lower our frequency,
whilst positive attitudes of prayer or meditation can raise it.

A substance with a higher frequency tends to raise a lower frequency. Love vibrates at the highest frequency of all and has the ability to bring all the lower frequencies of our physical body, organs, emotions and thoughts, into alignment with it.

When someone operates from a place of love, it attracts people and has the power to elevate the frequencies of those around them. When we spend time with them, it disarms us, and transforms our emotional state. Being around those who radiate positivity and love makes it almost impossible to stay miserable for long.

When we immerse ourselves in the frequency of God’s living, dynamic words, our bodies are transformed and become infused with His life, energy and vitality.

The river of life pulsates with frequencies that stimulate our DNA, causing it to trigger change and rearrangement. Taking communion operates on the same principle: we absorb the energy of God, which begins to vibrate in us,
bringing about transformation and even resequencing our DNA.

Through resonance, our frequency is elevated to a higher level, which can activate health and wholeness in each organ of our body. Similarly, it can influence our minds when we align ourselves with it.

Agreement holds great power for manifestation. This is why we approach communion with a mindset of agreement, acknowledging that the words spoken are not mere text on a page, but words of life which we actually identify with. By speaking them in faith, they carry the inherent power of the frequency of God’s life, creating an opening or an opportunity for us (because an arc always creates a window).

Key takeaway

Love vibrates at the highest frequency of all. When someone operates from a place of love, it attracts people and has the power to elevate the frequencies of those around them.

195. The Source and River of Life

Mike Parsons
with Jeremy Westcott –

Jesus died to give us access to heaven, and not only when we die: eternal spiritual life begins here and now. He died, but He did not stay dead. He rose again and is alive today. He is alive in heaven; He is alive in us; He manifests His presence here with us. Because of our relationship with Him, we can have intimate relationship with the Father as adopted sons, and with one another as brothers and sisters in God’s family.

We are connected to the source of life, and the source of life is connected to us. Within our spirit, there is a door that connects to God and to heaven, and it is up to us whether we open the door:

Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me (Rev 3:20).

When we choose to open that door on a daily basis, He comes in, fills us, and manifests around us so that people see and experience Him through us.

Living Water

Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water” (John 4:10).

Jesus was not offering the Samaritan woman a cupful, He was offering her the River of Life which is flowing in heaven. It is the same river that was in the Garden, where it split into four rivers and watered the earth.

The river that Ezekiel saw (see Ezek 47) was ankle-deep as it flowed out from the Temple. Ankle-deep water can refresh your feet; you can even reach down and get a drink from it. But it did not stay ankle-deep, or even waist-deep, but got deeper and deeper until it was so deep you could not cross it. Wherever that river went, it brought life. God wants us to bring that water to others so that they too can be filled and experience that life.

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water’ (John 7:38).

If we go to that spring every day and drink of it, it will become a fountain of eternal life not only for us, but also for those around us. It will flow through our whole being, spirit soul and body. But we do have to draw water from the well. We have to get into the river. We have to drink the water.

Do we know the gift of God?
Are we connected to the flow of living water?
Do we drink from the internal well of water springing up to eternal life?
Do we experience the constant flow of the source of life, the Holy Spirit?

There is a river

There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
The holy dwelling places of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns (Psa 46:4-5).

How deeply have we drunk of this river?

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers (Psa 1:3).

That is a description of what our life can be like when we live connected to that source of life, putting our roots down and constantly drawing from it.

Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations (Revelation 22: 1-2).

We can follow that river flowing in our spirit, back up into the heavenly realms. Years ago, we would only have expected to encounter the river in this realm – ‘we rejoice for the river is here’, as we used to sing – but we can also experience the river in the realms of heaven.

Five Rivers

The River of Life is only one of five rivers that God showed me cascading like waterfalls out of heaven today. We can jump in and experience:

  • The River of Life – New Birth
  • The River of death and resurrection – Water Baptism
  • The River of the Spirit – Baptism in the Holy Spirit
  • The River of Fire – Consuming Fire
  • The River of Glory – Heavenly presence

Jump into the River of Life. Experience something deeper of the presence of God. Open that door in your own life and begin to sense the flow of His life in you. And if you have never met Jesus before, open up that door for the first time and drink of the River of Life. Drink that water until it becomes a well, a spring that bubbles up in you.

If you have had a baptism experience but you want more, plunge into the river of death and resurrection. Be washed inside and out, cleansed from your past, have the power of sin broken over your life. Exchange all the old for the new. Exchange the struggles, the sickness, the guilt, the shame. Exchange your old identity for a new one. Stop to trying to meet your own needs and allow God to meet them. Walk in resurrection power.

Jump into the River of the Spirit. Whoever wants to be filled with the joy, whoever is eager for the gifts, whoever wants to speak in tongues, come and receive a river flowing from within. Open your heart and receive all He has for you. Experience the power of baptism in the Holy Spirit at a completely new level.

Be empowered. Then give it away; let it flow from you.

If you need to be transformed, if you need the fire of God, then jump in and open your heart to the all-consuming River of Fire. Allow God’s fire to refine you, purify you, transform you. Allow God’s fire to destroy your chains. Jesus came to baptise in the Holy Spirit and fire (see Matt 3:11). Experience the power of baptism in fire.

Open your heart and receive all He has for you. Do not be satisfied with less.

Upstream to the source

If you are born again and have never engaged with God in your own heart and spirit, He is there, and you can do so right now. If you have never been into the realms of heaven, find the river within you and follow it back upstream to its source.

Experience God at a new level today. If you don’t want to jump right in, you can start by standing in the shallows. Feel the river flowing, and gradually go deeper. Eventually, go under, breathe in, and drink. Feel the energy, His life flowing in and through you.

Taste and see that the Lord is good (Ps 34:8a).

12. God in the Garden

Mike Parsons –

There is a frequency of sound that is being released from heaven today: God’s voice. John 10:27 says, My sheep hear my voice, I know them and they follow me.’ How many of you are hearing God’s voice? God wants you to hear his voice, and not just in big meetings or when someone’s speaking or when you are reading the Bible; He wants you to hear his voice all the time.

He is speaking all the time: that voice is coming out of heaven and it is the voice of revival, the voice of God calling his people to himself. Look at Ps 42:7, Deep calls to deep at the sound of your waterfalls. That sound from heaven is like a waterfall. It contains all the frequencies of sound. You need frequencies which flow; you need something to move you. Low frequencies vibrate and you can feel them go through you. It is possible to move a house off its foundations using low frequency sound, and that is nothing compared to the sound of God’s voice. God’s voice is powerful, he wants to release his voice so that we can hear it. We looked at this before in Rev 1:15-16: His voice was like the sound of many waters… out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.

God’s voice can sometimes be a voice of love. He comes to woo us, as we sing, drawing us close, letting his love surround us. When we have got to that place where we know the love of God, sometimes the sound of God’s voice changes and he comes to declare the truth.

The sound of revival is about a visitation of God.

Why is God coming the way he is coming in this revival? The answer is, because we are not doing what we should be doing. That is the bottom line. If we were manifesting the presence of God, the Spirit of God and the power of God that is in us, he wouldn’t need to come like that. When we come together, are we coming to receive, or are we coming to release? God wants us so connected with his presence on the inside of us, which is connected to heaven, that it is releasing the sound of heaven through us. ‘On earth as it is in heaven’: the sound of heaven, the light of heaven, the power of heaven would be released through us.

Over the years we know the church has become traditional and institutional and has stopped doing the things they did in the New Testament times. We have looked at how the church spiralled down and went into darkness in the Dark Ages, and how God has been restoring the church ever since, bringing it back to its intended glory, not just the glory of the former house, the New Testament church, but the glory of the latter house, the end-time church that is going to usher in Jesus’ return.

And that church is going to be far more glorious; but who is the church? We are. So who is going to be far more glorious? I said last time that Adam was glorious in the Garden of Eden. I could preach a whole message on the Garden of Eden but let me just pursue this a moment, I will try not to get too far off track…

The Garden of Eden was not the garden of God. Read it carefully and you will see the garden of God was in Eden, and he planted a garden east of Eden, and it was watered from the garden of God. The River of Life flowed from the garden of God into the Garden of Eden, then it came out in four streams that filled the earth.

The Tree of Life was present there and if Adam had eaten of the Tree of Life, his destiny would have been fully revealed to him. We can now eat from the Tree of Life, but not on earth, because the Garden of God went back into heaven after the fall. The River of Life went back into heaven. The Tree of Life went back into heaven. When it was on earth, heaven and earth overlapped and everything from heaven was flowing freely to earth. So God was able to walk with Adam in the cool of the day. He was walking in that place of intimacy and relationship. God breathed the eternal essence of his Spirit into man and he became a living soul, so we are spirit beings first and foremost – and Adam’s spirit was on the outside. He didn’t look the way we do now, he did have a body, but the glory of God clothed him on the outside. He shone. God is going to restore that.

God does not want to restore us to the level of the New Testament church, he wants to take us back to Adam and Eve – and then to mature us into the manifest sons they would have become. They were given a mandate to bring heaven to earth, to manifest heaven on earth, and they walked in intimacy with God and had a relationship with God which was way beyond what most of us have experienced. We are just beginning to experience that too, and God is going to restore it more and more.

God is shouting right now, he is calling HIS church. It belongs to him, it doesn’t belong to us. He sent his Son to die for the church, to establish it. God is calling to his church, he is coming to his church in this visitation, to prepare us. He wants our full attention fixed on Him. He doesn’t want us to be distracted, looking at the signs and wonders, only that they point to him. He doesn’t want us to be looking at the miracles and the healings, only that they point to him. Everything needs to point to him. When we fix our eyes upon him, we are we going to become like him. We will become like the one we behold, transformed from one degree of glory to another, one degree of being like him to another increased measure of being like him, being like the Son.
