Joy, Rest, and the Energy of God

The flow of life is coming from and through me through those energy gates. My physical body is energised. My mind is connected to the eternal realm, connected to the ability to see, perceive, have insight and understanding. My ability to communicate, my heart, my connection and emotions that are connected to creation, my grounding gate connecting me to creation, the creative gate, and the different capacities for joy within me: all of those produce a state in which I choose that I always have enough of everything. That is the state of being I live in.

Now, in the past, when I’ve thought about my day, I’ve considered what it’s going to require. When I dug the last big hole I dug, which was for a pond, I got down about 18 inches and hit clay, big solid red clay. It was horrible, really thick and claggy. Trying to dig it out with a pick was really hard work. And I thought, this is going to require some physical strength and perseverance and attitude, which is the key. I could have got down 18 inches into clay and decided this was going to take me days. And my attitude would have lost its joy. But I didn’t lose my joy. I set my joy on what was before me. It says Jesus was joyful for the joy that was set before him. So when I was digging the pond, I began to imagine and see it in completion. I started to think about the animals, the wildlife that was going to be in the pond, the plants. I started to think about that while I was digging. So I was joyful during the process because my attitude was focused on the result of what I was digging, not just on the hard labour itself. And it was hard labour. I can’t say it was easy.

But there was also potential danger in swinging a pick in a pit. So I set my mind on protection while I was doing it, and I began to see in advance some things that could happen. There were rocks hidden in the clay, and if I hit one of them, the pick could have come back and hit me or slipped and hit my leg, digging in close quarters. I managed the danger by choosing to see the possibilities and avoiding the negative ones. On a few occasions I saw a stone and instead of swinging at it, I went to the side and dug it out rather than hitting it hard. I saw it in an instant.

I also had a choice of how much work I wanted to do. I had three or four days to dig the pond, because I was digging it while Debbie was away. I wanted to surprise her when she got back, because we had talked about it, and she had said it would be quite nice, but I hadn’t said I was going to do it. I thought, I’m going to bless her with a pond, so when she comes back there’s going to be a big hole we can fill together. So I had a few days, and there were other things I also wanted to do. I didn’t just dig a hole for ten hours a day. I dug for five hours a day and then did something else for the next three or four. I managed the time sensibly.

And I didn’t run out of energy, and I didn’t get muscularly tired. I’m not a muscular person. I’ve never been a bodybuilder or particularly strong physically; I’m quite wiry. But I know what happens when you swing a pick for five or six hours. The muscle fibres break and then repair and build up and get stronger. I didn’t want stronger arms particularly, so I managed that. I engaged with the muscles of my arms to be able to work without breaking and being damaged, and therefore without feeling the pain of the activity. I never felt any pain or muscle soreness, and I never do, regardless of what I’m doing, because I manage that in my own choice and consciousness.

433. Transform Your Life | Focus Your Energy

It’s the same with walking. When I was in Rome for five days, we walked thirty-odd thousand steps every day. I never got tired, because I managed it. I’m working with my body, in cooperation with it, for what I want to do, and I have to think about that consciously and choose to engage in the physical with the spiritual energy I have. I’ve learned to do this; it didn’t happen overnight. It is my expectation and my choice to consciously be aware that I always have enough physical, emotional, and mental energy to do whatever I’m doing, and to do it joyfully, because that’s where the energy comes from. Being joyful strengthens you. Jesus said, my joy is in you, so your joy can be full. He is the source of my joy. When I’m drinking of that river, it’s a river of joy and delight.

Living from a State of Well-Being

So I am joyfully receiving joy, and it’s like I live in rest. I’m at rest even when I’m digging a hole, because my spirit, soul, and body are in a place of rest. I’m not striving, not anxious, not worried, not concerned. I’m living in a state of rest, and that state of rest is a state of well-being. God spoke to me: live loving, love living. That is how I live. I am energised by the love of God for me. Life is joyfully lived, and I live in a way that I love other people in the same way. I don’t hold things against people. I ensure that I’m emotionally balanced and healthy, not angry, bitter, or resentful, because if you live in negative energy emotionally and mentally, you will lower your frequency and make yourself susceptible to disease. Dis-ease: you’re not at ease, not at rest. Your spirit, soul, and body are in conflict and not in union, and that’s not a good thing. The higher frequencies of love and joy are positive, healthy, energising frequencies. Misery, anger, fear, resentment, bitterness: these are all low frequencies which will affect the physical body, lower its energy, and make it susceptible to harm.

534. The Power of Rest

So make sure we live in joy. Now, joy is not the absence of difficult circumstances that you have to manage. It doesn’t mean things won’t go wrong. Although you can choose realities for blessing, and I live in the blessing of God, sometimes things happen around me that I need to manage. I remain in joy even within sorrow. Someone could die, and I’m not going to be happy about that. I would be genuinely sorry and sorrowful, but I can still be joyful within the sorrow, because joy is the energy I’m blessed with. Life is worthy to be lived, and even in the sadness of losing someone, God can bring good out of it. I look to engage the good that he brings and come back to a state of rest, not anxious, not worried, not frantic, but living within that framework. Joy is the economy of life. It’s what we live from. It’s a well-being economy. I live in an attitude of mental awareness, well-being, mindfulness, living in the present moment, not in the past or the future, but in the present moment, which contains all the grace, mercy, and love I need to be fully whole and healthy and living from that state of immortality.

Engaging with Melchizedek as a being, I would say he is a created angelic being, and I’m using that term loosely to mean a created being that’s not human. From the perspective of having no genealogy, that’s not really talking about an earthly genealogy. It’s trying to help us understand our identity within the order of Melchizedek as sons. So we also have no genealogy other than God, from that perspective. And of course Jesus is described as a high priest of the order of Melchizedek. So what is the Melchizedek order? I think it describes king and priest. There’s a royal priesthood that is the heavenly and earthly working type of position. We are kings and priests, and Peter calls us a royal priesthood. So it’s tying together our function and our identity.

505. A Royal Priesthood | Embracing Our Identity as Sons

Now there are those who say Melchizedek was there in the beginning before God created others, that he was there with wisdom, and that Melchizedek was involved in receiving Jesus’ offering of himself before the foundation of the world. I don’t know whether that is true, and I don’t have any issue with it potentially being true, but the context of it is that Jesus didn’t die as God before the foundation of the world. He did, however, present himself to the Father on behalf of mankind, so that mankind would always be predestined to be restored to a face-to-face relationship with God. And when you read about wisdom, Proverbs also indicates that wisdom was there in the beginning. The beginning of what? Not the beginning of God, but perhaps the beginning of God’s thoughts about creation, and then the outworking of those thoughts in the beginning of creation. You could also say that we were included in God, in his thoughts, when creation began. So there are illustrations of us seeing creation from God’s creative perspective. All these things are a little bit in the category of unprovable. No one can prove any of it. You could go and ask Melchizedek himself, and what he would tell you is probably that which God wants him to relate to you, and how it would relate to you.

The order of Melchizedek

I definitely don’t believe Melchizedek is anything to do with Jesus as such, because Jesus is the high priest of the order of Melchizedek, and Melchizedek was a priest. Now, one of the other roles that Melchizedek seems to have within the twelve High Chancellor’s houses is that of the Treasury House. He is the High Chancellor of the Treasury House, helping to release the resources that are available to us in the fulfilment of our destiny within the order of Melchizedek, which encompasses priest, king, prophet, and oracle legislator. These are the functions in which we operate out of that order, and those are some of the things that I think are around Melchizedek.

405. Angels Explained | Embracing Our Royal Identity in God

You can find vast teachings on Melchizedek, and quite a lot of esoteric material out there as well, but I would try and keep it simple. The focus isn’t Melchizedek. The focus is us being of the order of Melchizedek, and Jesus being the high priest of that order. Our focus is never going to be on Melchizedek, but on Jesus. But I don’t believe Melchizedek was a human being. I believe he was a created being, a function within God’s order, and I think that’s what the description of him is trying to convey.

It’s not trying to make it difficult for us to understand. It’s actually saying, here’s something you can relate to when you see yourself as a son from that perspective of God, rather than trying to work it all out and asking what it means that he had no genealogy, therefore he was not born, and so on. I think that has confused the issue for a lot of people, because then they try and fit Jesus into the picture. And of course Jesus was born, so he had a genealogy, which was written in the Bible. But personally, I don’t believe Jesus carried the genetic record of man in that way, whether from Mary or from Joseph. He was, in that sense, an implanted life that came from God.

540. Zero Point Energy, Light, and the Creative Power of God

Life is in God, and we are immortal.

Life is in God. But there’s a sense where our creative ability is designed to engage zero point energy and for light to form reality. So there’s this way in which we can use energy to make things, to create things, and there’s the way in which we’re energised.

We’re energised from the life of God, but God has put within the fabric of creation the building blocks for creativity. And therefore zero point energy, yes, it can energise whatever we need if we can draw from it and use it correctly, but also it’s there within the fabric of all things in terms of light. You could say zero point energy is light that is manifestable. So when you think of the quantum field and you’re engaging with it, you’re engaging with the potential possibilities for realities to form when we begin to choose them.

Part of the problem is that people choose their realities based on their past experience rather than their future expectation and intention, so they keep getting what they’ve always got. We’ve got to stop looking at our past and start looking for the future which is aligned to God’s heart for us. And therefore all of that becomes energy that we can use, which is designed to respond to us.

Living light responds to our voice when we speak with the authority of God as oracles. Then we begin to choose realities around our lives, and then corporately we come together to choose greater realities in agreement with one another. So zero point energy is what everything is touching at some point; it re-energises the physical systems, but we are energised from God, not creation. I think that bears thinking about, because I think people will try and draw from that field to be immortal, and that’s actually not the source of eternal life, of immortal life, but it is the source of creativity in the physical and spiritual realms.

253. Framing Your Reality

Get the relationship right

So it’s interesting that you’ve got to get this relationship right: God, then our relationship with the physical realm, and then beginning to bring both of them together in how we bring about restoration and transformation and change and creativity and all of the things that we’re made in the image and likeness of God to do. But yes, it would change drastically the way the world functions if there was complete free energy, and that energy was available to everyone, both to manage the physical realm in terms of the energy we need to heat our houses and all that sort of thing, but also in terms of how we form reality to bring about the restoration of God’s original intention. We need to be able to interact with light so that light can respond to us.

God gave us immortality in relationship with him and made us to be creative beings who could use energy to create as he did. He said, let there be light, which is the building block, the fabric of creation, and which is who he is as well as light. But then he enables us to be able to create things as he does, by calling things that be not as if they are. And that’s really why light responds. God wasn’t saying “let there be light” into a vacuum; it was out of the desires of his heart that that could take place. But I’m sure there will be lots of scientific discoveries around how to interact with the quantum field and how to draw zero point energy from it. What we don’t want is that in the hands of the wrong people who are just going to make money out of it and use it to control people, and travel, and everything else.

256. The Period of Restoration of All Things

Science fiction and science fact

The first time I heard about zero point energy, God spoke to me in 2010 about quantum physics and zero point energy and everything else, but I’d actually heard it before in the Stargate universe, in terms of zero point modules, which fuelled the Stargates and the puddle jumpers and all the things they were using to travel. And then when God spoke to me about it, it was a moment of, so you mean that sort of thing? And essentially, yes: science fiction had come up with something based on science fact.

4. The Power Source That Runs The Universe

I do believe there is a grid system of gateways designed to connect the universe so that we do not have to travel in a spaceship but can travel through a wormhole which can connect two points pretty much instantaneously, because it goes into the quantum field and comes out the other side. It’s quantum tunnelling. Wormhole technology is really quantum tunnelling: you go into the quantum field in one place and come out from the quantum field in another place, pretty much instantly, which again is science fact, and there are those who are quietly working on it.

I believe there is a system that God has created within the universe and dimensional realities which is designed for us to engage, rather than us building a whole load of spaceships to take us out to the stars. As much as I enjoy the science fiction, Star Trek and everything else, I don’t believe that’s totally God’s intention. I believe there is a system of travel that we can engage with, and I engage that all the time. We all do. Think about it: how can my consciousness be here and be in the realms of heaven at the same time? How can I communicate with myself in that sense? It’s quantum entanglement. If we understand quantum entanglement, then we can understand quantum tunnelling, and we can see that actually distance means nothing when you understand quantum mechanics, because there is no distance in terms of communication.

276. Living In Dual Realms

No limitation or restriction

So within me, within the core of my being, there are portals for communication and travel that can bring my consciousness to anywhere where God is, because in him we live and move and have our being. There is no limitation or restriction in time and space if we really begin to embrace a full understanding of the capabilities and how God has created the universe for us to be able to explore without the need for man-made technology.

And it’s interesting that in the Stargate universe, the ancient Egyptian gods and the pyramids were all part of this, being transport mechanisms connected to these systems. There’s truth in some of that. They weren’t gods, but what were they? That’s an interesting question for us to gain perspective on, and I think there’s more to all of that which will come about one day.

539. The Misunderstood Image of God | Relationship versus Religion

Can you know God? Can you know Allah?

We think of Islam and other religions, some of them being polytheistic, some monotheistic, but actually when you look back into the history of Islam, they chose a moon god out of other gods and then developed that into a monotheistic belief in Allah. But if you go back into the very roots of it, they were polytheistic when they started. They just chose the moon god. Hence we have the crescent moon associated with those kinds of beliefs. Most Muslims don’t know that, because they don’t know their own history and they don’t know where it came from. They tend to live from the Quran and from the teaching of the imams and all that sort of thing, but they don’t really know God, because their God does not allow for relationship. It is a blind trust of Allah who is sovereign, and therefore everything that happens must be the will of Allah. It leaves out the relational, the interactive, and the communicative dimension of that.

So I would not really try and argue with any Muslim about anything. I would talk to them about their experience. Can you know God? Can you know Allah? And they would probably say no, we can’t do that. Allah is holy. And so actually, I can say, well, I do know God. I have a personal relationship with him in which there is communication and sharing and life and joy and peace and love, using words which are evocative of good experiences rather than fear, which is what a lot of them associate with their god. They are afraid to get it wrong. Their knowing of God is by intellectual understanding of a concept rather than a relationship with a person who is loving and kind and good and gentle and all of the fruit of the Spirit. Where do you get angry, harsh and judgmental in the fruit of the Spirit? You don’t, because it isn’t there, and it isn’t in God.

523. How We Can All Connect with God

Why Jesus came

God does make judgments based on verdicts and evidence, but those verdicts are always going to come out of his love. And that is the problem with intellectual knowledge, with theology, with the understanding or study of God through an external medium, the “word”, the Bible. That is how many know God: through what the Bible says about God. But the Bible says very different things about God in the Old Testament and the New Testament, because in the Old Testament they didn’t know God. They thought they knew God and had their own understanding, their own religious construction of him. But he wasn’t the God that Jesus came to reveal. Which is why Jesus came.

Jesus came to reveal the true nature of God as love, and to help them have a relationship with the Father, because they didn’t have God as Father. In one sense they had a wider concept of God as Creator, but the relationship of Father and Son, when Jesus said “Abba”, was scandalous to them. When he said I and the Father are one, it was deeply challenging, because they had a view of God which was coming entirely out of religious knowledge and not experience.

443. Unconditional Love – NO RECORD OF WRONGS

Let’s face it, only one of them could go in and meet with God once a year, and that was very much on the basis of, we’re terrible sinners, we need to atone for our sin, will you forgive us? It wasn’t a relationship; it was a transaction from their perspective. So they had a transactional sort of knowledge of God which you could say was covenantal, but they didn’t understand the nature of covenant as God fulfilling himself within the covenant. He tried, but they wouldn’t have it.

He wanted them to come up on the mountain when they came out of Egypt. He invited them into his presence, into that spiritual dynamic of his presence. They were afraid. Why were they afraid? Because they had 430 years of fear living under Pharaoh, and they had very little sense of what they had started with, with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and their sons and all of that. And even then, their relationship with God was somewhat distant. Abraham, in a dream, was put to sleep to come into the presence of God. It never really started off in what Jesus came to reveal.

So they had their own version of God, carrying around idols all the way through the wilderness and into the Promised Land from Egypt, which is what Stephen said, and which is revealed in other places as well. They made a golden calf because they wanted something like other people’s gods, whereas God had invited them to come up into the fire of his presence, which is love, but they saw it as something to be feared. And therefore they sent a mediator, Moses, to go on their behalf. The seventy elders also went with him on their behalf, and then they set up a religious system so that they could have some connection with God at a distance, which was what they wanted. You don’t really get any sense of intimacy with God in much of it. Gideon meets an angel; there are various encounters.

Then the prophets begin to have more of a sense of hearing God speak to them, and I’m sure they were quite shocked by some of the things they said, because that’s when it started to turn around. Sacrifices and offerings you never required, they began to declare, and all of a sudden they were saying things that were leading up to the new covenant, beginning to reveal what God was truly like, and fulfilling all of those promises that they had viewed through their own understanding, revealing them in the truth of Jesus being the Way, the Truth and the Life, the express image of God; being one with the Father and having a relationship of I AM.

379. Created in His Image | The Purpose of Our Existence

John 14

My favourite chapter in the Bible has always been John 14, in which Jesus describes the relationship, describes going to the cross, coming back in resurrection, enabling them to have relationship in which they would know, “Where I am, you may be also.” And of course that’s been totally trashed in the meaning, to mean heaven in the future, where it actually means is where I am in relationship. Jesus says, I am in the Father and the Father is in me, and that is the relationship he was describing that they would have.

And then later on it says, “on that day (resurrection day), you will know this relationship: you will know that I am in you and you are in me and we are in this relationship with the Father together,” which is what he came to unveil. There was no veil. Hence the veil of the temple was torn, showing that there had never been any separation. And then they gradually began to work out that the Gentiles could come into this, that it was for everyone. Even after three and a half years with Jesus, they still didn’t grasp the fact that this was for everybody. He came to take away the sin of the world, not the sin of the Jews.

339. Universal Inclusion in Christ

So the concern was, we can’t associate with Gentile people because they’re unclean. And then the revelation comes from heaven in the vision: don’t call anything unclean that I call clean; take, taste and eat, as a symbol of, you’re all one now, there is no separation or division. And of course they then described this as the tabernacle of David, which was God in their midst, no temple or holy of holies or structure, which is what they had celebrated for quite a while, dancing and celebrating in the presence of the Ark, not hidden away in a box somewhere.

And I guess the sad question I’ve asked a lot is: why did David then want to go and build a temple for the God they had just experienced and enjoyed in their midst? Maybe because the timing of Jesus’ coming was not yet. Things had not yet reached the point where Jesus was going to come, and therefore another system was set up through David and Solomon building the temple, and eventually the next temple with Herod and everything else.

You can know God for yourself

But when I look at what Jesus came to help us come into, he was the door so we could come into a relationship with the Father. Jesus made us to be a dwelling place, a habitation of God, which was what it was all about and what John 14 was describing: you will be like me in this relationship with the Father. They never had that before. None of them. Even John the Baptist, who was the greatest of the Old Testament prophets, the least in the kingdom is greater than he. We look at all the miracles and the amazing things that happened, but they did not know him. He was not in them the way he is in us. There is a huge difference.

And that’s what we come back to: you can know God for yourself. God already dwells in you. He lives in you and he wants you to know him in that inner relationship. That’s what I would encourage people to experience, and if anything, that’s what I would share with others who have not had that experience, to help them think, “I would like that.” So I wouldn’t argue theology with a Muslim over the Quran or the Bible or Abraham or all the other things people try and use to find some sort of common ground. I would simply ask: do you know God by experience? Do you have a relationship with him through experience? And then share the testimony of your experience with God, which would hopefully open their eyes to something they had not considered.

God is awakening the Muslim world

Let’s face it, God is awakening the Muslim world. There is huge revival going on in Muslim countries. People are having visitations of Jesus in dreams. There is great transformation. The gospel is spreading in places like Iran under persecution far more greatly than in our sort of western, “Christmas and Easter” sort of culture where not much else happens, and where we have got inoculated from it all because it has become another religion rather than the relationship God wants all his children to experience and know.

496. When Love Rewired My Mind, Goodbye Religion!

So definitely, stick with the relationship. Present God as a good God, a loving God, a kind God, rather than the angry, judgmental God who is so distant that we can’t really know him. Muslims have very little certainty, because their relationship is based on performance. If they don’t perform to a particular standard, they won’t make it. It’s the works-based mindset: you have to be good enough, keep a standard, perform, live according to the manual, rather than follow Jesus. Jesus made it very simple: come and follow me. He didn’t make it hard. He didn’t say do this and this and this and this and this. He just said, come and follow me, because he invited them into relationship, and then he opened the door for them to have a relationship with the Father and the Spirit through following him.
